The House of Representatives passed Kate’s Law a bill that increases penalties against deported illegal aliens who reenter the country illegally. The bill is named for Kate Steinle who was murdered in San Francisco in 2015 by an illegal alien who was previously deported five times and convicted of seven felonies.
The passing of Kate’s Law followed passage of another bill that allows the federal government to strip so-called “sanctuary cities” of federal funding if they refuse to cooperate with federal officials on immigration enforcement. San Francisco, where Steinle was killed, is a self-proclaimed sanctuary city.
WASHINGTON DC – FBI Director James Comey reportedly asked the Justice Department this weekend to publicly reject President Trump’s claims that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower before the election.
Senior American officials told The New York Times on Sunday that Comey has said the president’s wiretapping allegations are not true and asked the Justice Department on Saturday to publicly correct the record.
Two suspects shouted “Allahu Akbar” and opened fire inside the The Islamic Cultural Center of Quebec, which is also known as the grand mosque of Quebec. At least 6 people were killed, 8 injured / 6 in very serious condition. 39 potential victims escaped (link).
[CBC.CA] A witness, who asked to remain anonymous, told CBC’s French-language service Radio-Canada that two masked individuals entered the mosque.
“It seemed to me that they had a Quebecois accent. They started to fire, and as they shot they yelled, ‘Allahu akbar!’ The bullets hit people that were praying. People who were praying lost their lives. A bullet passed right over my head,” said the witness.
“There were even kids. There was even a three-year-old who was with his father.” (link) (more…)
Politically engaged Americans (writ large) will, most likely, soon discover why it became so intensely important to outline the internal fight between ‘black hat‘ and ‘white hat‘ operatives within the intelligence community as it related to the 2016 U.S. election. A PBS interview with CIA Director John Brennan highlights the scope of professional obfuscation needed when intelligence agents decide to politicize intelligence. The Obama administration is in the process of attempting to re-write their own history.
As you watch this interview it is critical to remind yourself of the background within the names espoused by Brennan; specifically James Clapper and Jeh Johnson. Additionally, against the recent sunlight we have provided, I would strongly highlight the discussion toward the end of the interview surrounding Syria.
Many of us have been asking this very question. In the aftermath of the Charleston shooting the media spent days deconstructing the pontification attributed to Dylann Roof in his manifesto; even the Valdosta Times published the highly racist screed of Eric Sheppard Jr (Valdosta State Terrorist) while he was on the run from the FBI, but for some reason ABC and CNN news is reluctant in the extreme to showcase the mindset of Vester Flanagan. One can only imagine how much the Roanoke shooter’s words cut a swath counter to the preferred media narrative.
(PJ Media) Two days ago, ABC News reported that Vester Flanagan, the murderer of two WDBJ employees, sent a 23-page faxed manifesto to ABC News. ABC reported bits and pieces of the manifesto.
Yet we still haven’t seen the full document. ABC hasn’t made it available. Why?

Jack Cashill – On Wednesday, April 29, Peter Hermann of the Washington Post published a well-sourced article, headlined, “Prisoner in van said Freddie Gray ‘was intentionally trying to injure himself.'”
Hermann based this story on an affidavit contained in an application for a search warrant that had been sealed by the court. According to the document, written by a Baltimore police investigator, the unnamed prisoner, a 38-year-old man accused of violating a protective order, could hear Gray from his side of the van. The man heard “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that Gray “was intentionally trying to injure himself.”
The Post received the document under the condition that the person testifying not be named. As Hermann reported, “[t]he person who provided it feared for the inmate’s safety.” That fear was understandable. Many people have a vested interest in preserving the illusion of Gray’s martyrdom at the hands of a cruel and/or callous police department.
If anything, the fact that the man in question was currently in prison increased the risk factor. (more…)
Over the weekend, as part of the administration’s full court press to support the construct of a deal with Iran, President Obama gave an interview to NPR. In the interview President Obama was asked about the deals’ critics and specifically Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin who shared that any agreement with Iran should be reversed by the next president.
President Obama responded by ridiculing Walker, and saying he should “bone up on foreign policy”:

UPDATE:The moonbattery has metastasized into a supernova of hatred. The intolerant leftists have shut down the mom and pop pizzeria with phone attacks and an on-line onslaught similar to Chick-Fil-A in 2012. Only this time the business is not a corporation it’s a family restaurant without the corporate resources.

Despite frequent indications to the contrary, leftists continue to proclaim the intellect of President Obama. However, during a press conference today the real intellect surfaces.
In a press conference to announce that there will be no troop drawdown in Afghanistan this year, Obama referred to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani as “President Karzai” while he was standing right next to him. (read more)
A little more than a month ago Dear Leader referred to James Franco as “James Flacco” while talking about Sony’s decision to pull “The Interview” from theaters over a hacking scandal at the hands of North Korea.
Credit where credit is due. The messaging from the White House about why they haven’t called the terrorist attacks “Islamic Terrorism” must have been a top priority in the past 48 hours. As noted in this shift expressed by Josh Earnest. The question was posed:
“The leader of France, your ally in this effort, has put a name on this ideology, which he calls radical Islam,” noted NPR’s Mara Liasson. “You have bent over backwards to not ever say that. There must be a reason.”
Josh Earnest Responds: “The first is accuracy. We want to describe exactly what happened. These are individuals who carried out an act of terrorism and they later tried to justify that act of terrorism by invoking the religion of Islam and their own deviant view of it.(more…)
