I can’t think what that “other side” might be, which would soften or add value to the sentiment afforded to the guy who decapitated his co-worker… but, ok.

There was, and for many still is, a considerable amount of Stockholm Syndrome type anxiety amid the general population of Israel when it comes to decisions to mount defensive strategies using offensive engagements.
However, even the most dovish of the Israeli population recognized the inherent risk when the IDF began publically exposing the size, scope and intents of the Gaza Tunnels:
With thirty tunnels found and almost seventy entrances it is now apparent that there was a “second Gaza” under the ground – complete with weapons stocks and everything needed for a combined attack on Israel.
Some of the tunnels had storage facilities with IDF-issued uniforms, helmets and shoes, as well as syringes with tranquilizers and handcuffs, ready for kidnapping Israeli citizens and taking them into Gaza.
Some people have asked me how come Israel never saw these tunnels which have exits inside Israeli territory. The answer is that the tunnels are not fully dug. They leave the last 3-6 feet of dirt intact so that there would be no outward sign of a tunnel being there.
The Hamas plan, it now turns out, was to simultaneously dig out of those tunnels the last 3-6 feet and then attack Israel from 30 or 40 tunnels simultaneously, using hundred if not thousands of Hamas terrorists, some dressed as IDF personnel. Such a massive wave of attack, combined with a barrage of rocket fire, could have had a devastating effect on Israel – had it not been for Operation Protective Edge.
Even the doves within Israel recognized they could not simply attempt defense any longer. Consequently the internal support for the Netanyahu and IDF response has been overwhelming. When your own stick turns out to be a boomerang, or what happens when you step on your own rake !
The latest revelations in the ObamaCare debacle revolve around Obama architect Jonathan Gruber.
You might remember back in 2010 during the fight over ObamaCare mandates ‘we the people’ were told the mandate was a penalty and not a tax. However, when ObamaCare challenges ultimately reached the courtroom the administration argument was exactly the opposite. The government argued the mandate was a tax not a penalty; only as a tax could the construct survive legal scrutiny. This latest Gruber development similarly pretzellian but infinite degrees worse.
The construct of ObamaCare execution relied upon a network of state exchanges to enroll people in the plans. The problem for the administration was the volume of political opposition to the entire plan itself. Consequently the Obama administration had to set up a “stick” or punitive punishment if any state failed to comply with setting up the exchange.
The stick they settled upon was a simple premise – financial blackmail. Any state who did not construct an exchange for their state citizens to enroll in ObamaCare would face a punishment of not being allowed to receive a federal subsidy for their premium. In essence the goal was to force states to set up exchanges. To force compliance the carrot was the federal premium subsidy, the stick was financial punishment if they didn’t. (more…)
Allow me to take a stab at that question. But before doing so here’s the underlying premise.

“Why Glenn Beck Says ‘Nobody’ Is Covering Ted Cruz’s Decision to Join Mercury One’s Border Relief Effort” – Glenn Beck said Friday that “nobody” in the media is covering Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) decision to join Mercury One’s border relief effort because the media is already starting to play “presidential games.”
Mercury One, the charity Glenn Beck founded, will be in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday, passing out roughly $2 million in food, water, clothing and toys to illegal immigrant children. Beck and a number of volunteers will be there to help.
But as Beck said, while many news outlets, including MSNBC, have reported on the relief effort, few have said anything about Cruz’s involvement.
“Why is nobody covering this?” Beck asked on his radio program Friday. “This came out yesterday. This is a big deal. Why is no one covering that Ted Cruz is going down to the border for a relief program?” (link)
This question highlights the actual substance of the policy issue.
Who would be the best broker, considering each side’s position, for peace?
USA’s Obama/Kerry, or Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sisi ?

Structural confusion is a strategy, and this White House has perfected the skill of using confusion to outwit the opposition.
Various downstream factions of political opposition are predictably breaking apart under the flow of illegal immigration issues President Obama is controlling upstream.
People in Murrietta California standing guard to block the transfer of illegal aliens into their neighborhood; and at the same time you have Glenn Beck loading teddy bears and bottled water into tractor trailers headed to detainment camps.
You’ve got Catholic social welfare organizations collecting clothes and food, while the non-borders crowd are beating drums in front of the White House demanding amnesty.
Middle America is torn. Average people want the border secured, but advocacy toward that end will only result in the media labeling them bigots. Somehow a reasonable desire for simple peace, and a secure border under the rule of law, is an extremist position.
Just about the time you come up for air – someone will scream at you: “everything is so political now”!

This entire media mantra around the illegal crossing of our border is getting on my last nerve. Will someone please just call it like it is.
“We do that which is important to us”
President Obama has intentionally created this crisis to give leverage to his goals of changing the landscape of American social construct. This administration is pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens, and consequentially the collapse their political opposition. To reach that goal the current U.S. administration is intentionally asking illegal aliens to swarm our nations borders – and supporting them toward that end.
If President Obama wanted to stop the crisis, he could order it stopped in less than 48 hours. He doesn’t.
