Carly Fiorina Talks About California’s Self-Created Water Crisis…

carly fiorina 2(Via The Blaze) Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina said Monday that California’s water crisis is the result of “liberal environmentalists” who are “willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and livelihoods at the altar of their ideology.”

“With different policies over the last 20 years, all of this could be avoided,” Fiorina said on Glenn Beck’s radio program. “Despite the fact that California has suffered from droughts for millennia, liberal environmentalists have prevented the building of a single new reservoir or a single new water conveyance system over decades during a period in which California’s population has doubled.”

Fiorina said that as a result, 70 percent of California’s rainfall “washes out to sea” year after year.

“How is it possible that we don’t hear that story on the news at all?” Beck demanded. (more…)

Governor Brown: “Californians Will Be Heavily Fined For Long Showers”…

(Via Breitbart) Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Gov. Jerry Brown (D-CA) said Californians will face heavy fines for taking long showers.

Brown said, “This executive order is done under emergency power. It has the force of law. Very unusual. It’s requiring action and changes in behavior from the Oregon border all the way to the Mexican border. It affects lawns. It affects people’s — how long they stay in the shower. How businesses use water.” (more)

Hillary Being Hillary – Won't Take Position On Keystone Pipeline Because She Fears Political Backlash….

This is so typically Clintonian. Hillary is asked about whether or not she supports the Keystone Pipeline.
She’s frozen in political fear. If she supports it, she’s undermining the far left and fueling the Elizabeth Warren support crowd; if she doesn’t support it, she’s against 70% of the U.S. electorate’s position. So, she takes the position of “no position”.

Tilting at Windmills … use $770 worth of electricity, pay a $10,000 bill …

Tilting at windmills is very very costly ….
windmillfire(H/t Small Dead Animals)
A  good friend of mine runs a business in the County. He has done so for 40 years. He showed me his electricity bill last week. In December, he spent $770 on electricity. It was one of the least expensive lines on his bill. The global adjustment charge was $4,267.32. There was also a delivery charge, a debt retirement charge and an array of taxes.
In total, he spent nearly $10,000 in December—for $770 of electricity. He doesn’t know where this money is going. He is not sure he can keep up. He isn’t alone.

The Liberal Government of Ontario, in a feverish bit of “do-goodism” social justice advocacy, made the decision to significantly idle their fully paid for, clean, effective hydro-electric generating stations to pivot to a “diversified” “green” energy policy that relied upon solar and wind.  to replace older, coal-powered generating stations that were being phased out as part of the “anti-coal” ideology so in vogue with the far Left.  This is the same energy policy that is currently being pursued by the Germans, and, combined with “cap and trade” swaps, is the holy grail of energy policy for the Obama Administration.  Obama did warn Americans that after his energy policies were fully implemented, “electricity prices would necessarily skyrocket” ….

"Ebola Kaci" – Why Losing Rights Temporarily Is Prudent…

Kaci HickoxGreat article at Canada Free Press – […]  Mary Mallon, “the most dangerous woman in America” was born in Ireland and later worked as a cook for wealthy families in New York.
She was the first known carrier of typhoid fever in the USA, and although without any symptoms, she was still contagious and continued to spread the disease to at least 53 persons (who spread it to others), three of whom died.
It is thought she infected 50 others who died but it could not be determined since she changed her name so often. She refused to stop working as a cook and was confined to a hospital where she died 20 years later.
Mary worked as a cook from 1900 to 1907 in New York City area and within two weeks of her employment, residents developed typhoid fever. Then she moved to New York City where members of the family for whom she worked developed fever and diarrhea, and the laundress died.
Mallon then went to work for a lawyer; she quit after seven of the eight people in that household became ill. She took other positions in Long Island, and left a trail of infection everywhere. She always resigned when family members became ill. (more…)

STUNNING DOJ Fraud and Corruption Forces Federal Judge To Take Nuclear Option – Recuses Every Judge in Entire Federal Court District…

Holder Injustice Dept(NY Observer) In perhaps the most stunning documentation yet of abuses by Eric Holder’s Justice Department, two former Assistant United States Attorneys spoke to defense attorneys and revealed appalling deceit and corruption of justice.
This latest litigation time bomb has exploded from multi-million dollar litigation originally brought by the Department of Justice against Sierra Pacific based on allegations that the lumber company and related defendants were responsible for a wildfire that destroyed 65,000 acres in California.
In what was dubbed the “Moonlight Fire” case, the tables are now turned. The defendants have discovered new evidence and filed a stunning motion. The new evidence and disclosures are being taken seriously by the Chief Judge of the Eastern District of California—as they should be. In a shocking action, Judge Morrison C. England Jr. ordered the recusal of every federal judge in the Eastern District of California. (more…)

Carnival Magic "Ebola Cruise" Update: U.S. Coast Guard Conducts Mission To Retrieve Blood Sample

As previously outlined, after being denied entry to Belize and Mexico, the Carnival Magic is set to arrive in the home port of Galveston Texas early tomorrow morning.

In anticipation of the arrival – the Coast Guard has finished a mission, to retrieve a blood sample for Ebola testing, from the healthcare worker who is quarantined on board. The U.S.C.G. completed the mission by flying  a helicopter to the cruise ship and used a basket extraction to retrieve the blood sample.  The sample is now being flown back to the U.S. Mainland.
The goal is to test the blood sample prior to the ship’s arrival and dissuade any fear the public might have prior to the passengers and crew de-boarding the vessel.  Here’s the statement from Carnival:

“Today we were advised by Texas health officials that they felt it was necessary for the health care worker currently on Carnival Magic to submit a blood sample for testing prior to the ship’s arrival in Galveston tomorrow [Sunday] morning,” Carnival said in a statement.

“As a result, a helicopter rendezvoused with the ship late this afternoon to facilitate the transfer of the sample,” the cruise line said. “At this time Carnival Magic is expected to arrive tomorrow [Sunday] morning as scheduled.”

Details Of Second Ebola Nurse Released: 29-Year-Old, Amber Vinson, Travelled Via Plane Two Days Ago…

President Obama Has Cancelled Tonight’s Fundraiser !!

ebola obama 2
CDC Thomas Frieden says:

We have stopped every Ebola outbreak, until this one!

update-1The second Ebola treatment nurse, diagnosed with Ebola herself, is a 29-year-old named Amber Vinson.
Riddle me this: The second nurse who has Ebola in Texas flew on a plane two days before apparently developing symptoms. The CDC is alarmed by the commercial travel method. The CDC says Ebola exposures should have “controlled travel” only, and wants 132 passengers who were on the plane with the nurse to call them ASAP. Why?

[Frontier Airlines] “At approximately 1:00 a.m. MT on October 15, Frontier was notified by the CDC that a customer traveling on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth on Oct. 13 has since tested positive for the Ebola virus.

The flight landed in Dallas/Fort Worth at 8:16 p.m. local and remained overnight at the airport having completed its flying for the day at which point the aircraft received a thorough cleaning per our normal procedures which is consistent with CDC guidelines prior to returning to service the next day. It was also cleaned again in Cleveland last night. Previously the customer had traveled from Dallas Fort Worth to Cleveland on Frontier flight 1142 on October 10.  (link)

The CDC opposes a travel ban to/from West Africa. To support their position the CDC says if a person has no symptoms there is no reason to worry. They say the Dallas nurse, Amber Vinson, had no symptoms – yet her travel is alarming.  A contradiction, no? (more…)

Infuriating – 72 Hours After U.S. Military Arrive To Assist – Liberia Healthcare Workers Go On Strike…

https://twitter.com/DRUDGE_REPORT/status/521462911001055233
We can’t begin to say how infuriating this is. Friday the first U.S. troops arrived in Monrovia to begin setting up aid for Liberian healthcare workers within the Ebola “Hot Zone”. Today those same healthcare workers go on strike.

“Beginning tomorrow we will be on a nationwide strike in every hospital and every health centre including ETUs (Ebola Treatment Units),” said Joseph Tamba, chairman of the health workers’ union.

There is NO DOUBT they have taken the opportunity of our U.S. arrival to remove themselves from the risk inherent in the care of Ebola patients. This will put additional pressure on our military to fill the caregiver void.
Insufferable !
ebola military
It has been a challenging pill to swallow to see 4,000 of our servicemen and women dispatched into a dangerous region on a humanitarian effort when little to no support is coming from Western “allies”. Add to that the pure selfishness of the Liberian opportunists which further endangers our troops, and the entire situation is beyond insufferable. (more…)
