COLORADO – A Colorado Springs man was arrested after police believe he left racist messages outside a church.
Vincent Broughton, 44, who is black, is facing charges for committed a bias-motivated crime and disorderly conduct.
The signs were posted outside the New Covenant church that is predominately attended by African Americans. One sign references the KKK. Another reads, “Black men beware, you are the target.”

The Baltimore Police Union is demanding public records of radio transmissions and email notifications to prove the leadership in the Baltimore Police Department, specifically Police Chief Batts, told officers NOT to stop the riots and looting.
Facing the probability the police union is going to succeed in their endeavor to put sunlight upon the truth the Mayor, Police Chief Batts and his leadership team are now having to admit they did tell the officers to ‘stand down’. You can listen to some of the audio transmission here.
However, the Mayor and Police Chief are desperately using semantics and parseltongue to claim the orders did not mean what they said they mean. After the Baltimore Sun excerpt, we’ll show you where the LEO leadership was visiting right before the riots, and continuing thereafter.

In an interview with The Baltimore Sun, police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts and six top commanders who directed deployments on April 27 denied that they gave blanket orders to do nothing as rioters looted, raided businesses and even attacked officers with impunity. (more…)
(New York City) In front of emotional supporters, Mayor de Blasio signed legislation Monday that will prohibit employers from inquiring about a candidate’s criminal record prior to a job offer.
“Today I see hope for people like me,” said Marilyn Scales, 52, of the Bronx, who said she never has had a full-time job because of her record for dealing heroin.
The mayor also signed legislation to step up regulation of the car wash industry. Car washes will have to obtain biannual city licenses as well as a $150,000 bond to cover costs if they are sued for wage theft. (more)
BALTIMORE – Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is asking for a special commission to review Baltimore’s Confederate statues and historical assets.
The commission will review of Confederate-era statues in the city to make recommendations for “their future in Baltimore.”
The Mayor said in statement that she believes the review will lead to a more “reasoned approach to these Confederate-era monuments” rather than just taking them down.

MACON, Ga. — Authorities in central Georgia say up to 50 teenagers bent on destruction raced into a Wal-Mart in Macon, smashing merchandise and causing an estimated $2,000 in damage.
Bibb County sheriff’s officials say some of the young people snatched a man from a motorized shopping cart and dragged him to the floor during the rampage around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Sheriff’s officials said one of the teens later told a Wal-Mart employee the goal was to see how much damage they could cause. Sheriff’s officials say floors were coated with broken merchandise. (more…)
WASHINGTON – Federal investigators have identified the man they believe is responsible for the burning of a CVS Pharmacy during riots that broke out following the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore this spring.
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are looking for Raymon Carter, 24, and have obtained a warrant for his arrest. Carter faces a federal arson charge for intentionally setting a fire at the CVS at Pennsylvania and North avenues in Baltimore.
Investigators released surveillance images of Carter in May hoping that the public could help identify him along with other responsible for setting fires at other locations. Multiple phone calls to the ATF’s tip line identified the man in the photos from the CVS at 2509 Pennsylvania Avenue as Carter, says Special Agent David Cheplak with the Baltimore field office. In an otherwise ‘under-the-radar’ murder case involving a suspect named Russell E. Brown III, charged with killing Virginia State Police trooper Junius A. Walker, a defense motion surfaces that could potentially be alarming. The defense team wants to investigate the racial composition of Dinwiddie County grand jury members:
Brown is charged with eight felony counts, including capital murder of a police officer, in the March 7, 2013, killing of Walker, 63, who was shot in his police cruiser on Interstate 85 after the officer rolled up to Brown’s vehicle stopped on the shoulder to see if Brown needed any help.
Police said that after shooting Walker with a Russian-made, .308-caliber semiautomatic rifle and exchanging gunfire with another trooper, Brown dropped his weapon and fled, disrobing as he ran. He was found hiding naked in the back of a car at a nearby towing company. After his arrest, Brown told authorities that God had directed him to shoot Walker.

Brown III’s public defenders also want to investigate the composition of Dinwiddie County’s grand jury system over the past five years in an apparent effort to detect racial or selection bias in the grand jury process, according to recent court filings in the case.
Considering the high profile media coverage of an activist removing a flag in South Carolina, perhaps someone could ask her to go to Baltimore and bring some attention to another NINE PEOPLE shot today before noon.
