Attorney For Officer Michael Slager Gently Outlines Investigative Flaws – How South Carolina Rushed To Judgment…

The shooting of Walter Scott by Police Officer Slager was immediately broadcast to the world. Unfortunately, like many of those previous broadcasts, the narrative transmitted was fraught with manipulation and agenda. The Scott family brought in Ryan Julison to direct the media and tell a story. A very specific story.

Now, the attorney for Officer Slager has to begin a careful and deliberate process of bringing truthful sunlight upon the shooting.

SOUTH CAROLINA – Private investigators for the former North Charleston policeman jailed in Walter Scott’s death found two bullets that had been missed by state agents who examined the shooting scene two weeks earlier, according to court documents filed by the officer’s attorney.

But it was how the State Law Enforcement Division handled other evidence that has prompted a point of legal contention and a motion by Michael Slager’s attorney for a court inquiry into the agency’s destruction of evidence. (more…)

Liberal Moonbat Professor: The Very Concept of “Reason” and Virtue is “White Male Racist Privilege”…

Thereby implying that non-whites are incapable of cognitive reason; ergo any discussion is fruitless because the foundation is built upon two distinct parties with polarities within their views necessitating conflict.  The absolute epitome of racism.

I doubt you could find a more succinct presentation of the moral divide currently infecting the U.S. In this example a liberal professor says the very construct of reason and virtue is a white anglo-perspective that non-whites are incapable of understanding. In the most direct of terms, this professor is stating -albeit without accepting- that segregation is the only recourse.  This is the exact ideological world view of George Bernard Shaw and the original Fabian socialists.

syracuse prof(Via Daily Caller) A philosophy and religion professor at Syracuse University gave an interview to The New York Times Thursday in which he critiqued the notion of pure reason as simply being a “white male Euro-Christian construction.”

Prof. John Caputo was being interviewed by fellow philosophy professor George Yancy for the 13th installment of an interview series Yancy conducts with philosophers regarding racial topics.

Given its emphasis on first principles and abstract thought, it may be tempting to view academic philosophy as a turf where the race of participants matters little, but Caputo says that’s entirely untrue. In fact, race is of central importance, and it’s proven by the mundane phrases philosophers use. (more…)

The Insanity of Confederate Flag Syndrome Continues – PGA Golfer Bubba Watson To Paint Over “General Lee”…

bubba-watson-general-leeOn June 24th we somewhat sarcastically predicted that PGA golfer Bubba Watson would be sucked into the ridiculous vortex that is “confederate flag syndrome”.

Today, that ridiculous prediction has come true.

Golf star Bubba Watson will paint over the Confederate flag on the General Lee, a prop car from the television show “The Dukes of Hazzard,” in light of the brewing controversy over the flag.  (link)

Watson tweeted the news Thursday afternoon:

Oddly enough, when looking back through the Treehouse archives to get the link to the Bubba Watson prediction, we discovered this earlier prediction from April 2014 when spontaneous acts of confederacy were not being nationally reported.

Halfway Through Year – Baltimore Stands At 144 Homicides, Up 48 Percent Over Last Year….

Shockingly, none of the 144 murdered were killed by flags.  Mayor Rawlings-Blake says the current level of slaughter is “disheartening”.  Last month, Rawlings-Blake said city police officers need to do their jobs or face internal discipline…

baltimore mayor faceBALTIMORE – Danielle Wilder said she has moved from her Baltimore home but isn’t telling anyone — even family members — where she lives now..

“The next thing, one of us will be dead. We don’t know. We have moved, and I have not given my address to family members. We just don’t know,” she said.

Wilder lost her sister, Jennifer Jeffrey-Browne, 31, and nephew, 7-year-old Kester “Tony” Browne, last month when the mother and son were found shot to death in their Southwest Baltimore home.

The Brownes are two of the city’s 144 homicide victims in the first six months of the year, a 48 percent increase over last year. Much of the surge in violence has come in the aftermath of the April 19 death of Freddie Gray, which touched off protests, rioting, looting and arson in the city. (more…)

It Begins – Birmingham Alabama Votes To Remove 110 Year Old Confederate Monument…

[…]  The all-black board voted unanimously to bring down the 110-year-old statue…

birmingham confederate monumentALABAMA – A huge change may be on the way to Linn Park. Birmingham’s Parks and Recreation Board voted to remove a monument honoring confederate soldiers and sailors.

Pelham’s original Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy no longer exists. Its gift to the city of Birmingham does. The chapter put a monument celebrating confederate soldiers and sailors in Linn Park in 1905.

“There is nothing offensive about these soldiers standing up for their rights. Just like those who fought for the civil rights. They fought for their rights. There is no flag on it to be offensive. It’s just a monument to war veterans,” said Birmingham Resident Ronald Hagood.

Hagood wants the monument to stay at Linn Park. He’s taking pictures to remember its rightful place.

Sarah Jackson never paid attention to the monument in her 67 years of living in Birmingham.  She’s taking the time now to look and finds it offensive. (more…)
