Presidential Eligibility – Is It “A Matter of Faith” ?…

Here’s an odd riddle, I couldn’t answer – perhaps you can.  Some might find worthy of discussion.

What exactly was the purpose behind all of those inquiries into President Obama’s Birth Certificate?  Was it, as many have presented and thousands have bantered back and forth, to finally find out if President Obama was born in Kenya instead of Hawaii.

Was that the goal?

If that was the goal, and if it was discovered that President Obama was born in Kenya to a Kenyan father and American mother (Ann Dunham), as best we can determine from the thousands of opinions on the matter, and according to those most heavily invested in this expedition, President Obama would have been ineligible for Presidential office.

So, according to those who understand these issues, if the birth certificate showed Obama born outside of the U.S. he would have been ineligible. (more…)

President Obama’s ISIS Strategy Is Indeed Working – It’s Working Exactly as Planned….

There are numerous pundits and political followers who are quite upset about President Obama’s news conference in Turkey where he stated his ISIS strategy “is working”.

An example of the punditry proclamations can be encapsulated within this commentary of CNN contributors as outlined by NewsBusters:

obama in turkey

On Monday, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour and two of her network’s analysts blasted President Obama moments after he ended a press conference where he defended his anti-ISIS strategy. Amanpour underlined that Obama “something that was pretty incredible…that our strategy is working. People do not believe that to be the case. The only strategy that’s working is the strategy that he tends to dismiss — and that’s the ground troop strategy.

Sinjar, Tikrit, Kobani — those are the only ISIS strongholds that have been taken back by a combination of American intelligence and air power, and local ground forces.” (video at link)

Indeed, if you were to google search the various media reports about President Obama’s delivered position almost all of them reflect a similar sentiment.  Media scratching their heads and twisting into pretzel contortions wondering why Obama continues to proclaim his ISIS strategy is a success. BREAKING: 5th Circuit Court Upholds Injunction Against Obama Executive Immigration Amnesty DAPA…

BREAKING: The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Rules 2-1 to uphold Judge Hanen Injunction (full ruling pdf below)

In a 2-1 ruling of the Fifth CCA (Judge King has lengthy Dissent) the injunction against President Obama’s Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program (“DAPA”) has been upheld.

The DAPA is commonly referred to as Obama’s Executive Amnesty – Obama Loses.

Twenty Six states filed suit to block the November ’14 Executive Order. A Texas Judge, Andrew Hanen, issued an injunction blocking implementation.  Obama appealed the injunction and lost; then appealed again based on standing – and just lost again.  Here’s the ruling:

[scribd id=289170310 key=key-T0voaCtTiCIoDh7v3Q5W mode=scroll]

However, the release of the 5th Circuit decision today may allow the Supreme Court time to take up the dispute in Obama’s term, if a third appeal is attempted.  A favorable Supreme Court ruling could then override the injunction and permit Obama to implement the executive actions next summer.

The problem for the White House is the substantive legal issues within the original Hanen ruling have not been argued in Hanen’s court or the/any appellate court.  They have only argued the ability of Hanen to block them (ie “standing), not the merits of the underlying case.

Therefore the route to SCOTUS would only be on the legal issues of Hanen’s injunction – and not on the legal issues of the Executive Order itself. It’s doubtful SCOTUS would take up such a case.

Chuck Todd Encapsulates Democrat Party Losses Under Obama…

… then quizzically poses the question, ‘gee, I wonder why’; to wit Don Mattingly in drag, aka Rachel Maddow, opines about structural advantages created by those pesky and brilliantly strategic republicans.

Yes, this is what they tell themselves – it’s never palatable to conceive the electorate are just sick and tired of Moonbat policies that always fail yet continue to return like the Phoenix from the ashes of retread socialism only to be tried yet again…

Labor Union On Keystone Decision: Obama shows “utter disdain and disregard for salt-of-the-earth, middle-class working Americans”…

obama_contemptWASHINGTON DC – One of the largest unions of construction workers slammed President Obama for his decision to reject the Keystone XL pipeline Friday, accusing the president of showing “utter disdain” for the American worker.

Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), accused Obama of bending to special interest groups by choosing to decline TransCanada’s proposal to build the pipeline in pursuit of his climate change agenda.

“President Obama today demonstrated that he cares more about kowtowing to green-collar elitists than he does about creating desperately needed, family-supporting, blue-collar jobs,” O’Sullivan said in a statement Friday. (more…)

CBS Highlights President Obama’s Incompetence…

I did not see the CBS 60 Minutes interview with President Obama; so I set about going to look for it.  Before going to CBS’s website I stopped by U-Tube to see if there was an encapsulated segment.

Fortuitously I discovered this presentation.  While it is not the entire interview, it is well worth the watch for greater foxhole-morale value.  Not only is the commentary quite funny, it also provides further evidence that there are many people who understand the situation and feel the same way.  (Salty Language Alert)

Why Is Iran Holding Washington Post Reporter Jason Rezaian?…

For people who might not have followed the story as it unfolded there’s an easier explanation for why Iran is holding Jason Rezaian.   The underpinning is Iran knowing the U.S. State Department and CNN collaborate to use media as a tool to advance U.S. foreign policy objectives.

In December 2014 CNN ran and episode of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown filmed in Iran. It seemed innocuous at the time, yet as with all things Turner Broadcasting, it also seemed to be another set up for a larger political agenda item. (more…)

Senate Democrats and Senate Republicans Pass Defense Spending Bill…

There is a lot of talk from the White House of President Obama vetoing this bill.

obama-white-house-press-conferenceWASHINGTON DC – Senate Democrats on Wednesday joined with Republicans to approve an annual defense bill, defying a veto threat from President Obama.

The Senate voted 70-27 in favor of the $612 billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a wide-ranging measure that would set policy and spending priorities for the Pentagon. Twenty Democrats voted yes, as did Sen. Angus King (Maine), an Independent who caucuses with Democrats.

While the vote total would be enough for Republicans to override Obama’s promised veto, Democratic leaders insist that some of their members would vote differently if asked to override the president. (more…)

Trans-Pacific Trade Deal Is Complete – Final Agreements Reached Today….

Wall Street wants the TPP deal.  The Obama administration wants the TPP deal.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce wants the TPP deal.  Rupert Murdoch wants the TPP deal.  Fox News wants the TPP deal.  Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Chris Christie, John Kasich, Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, Rick Perry all approve the TPP deal.  Candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio supported fast track trade authority for the TPP deal.

(Via Reuters)  The United States and 11 other Pacific Rim countries have reached a sweeping deal to set up a free-trade zone for 40 percent of the world’s economy, but the accord on Monday faced initial skepticism in the U.S. Congress.
The Trans-Pacific Partnership is the most ambitious trade pact in a generation and could reshape industries and influence the cost of products from cheese to cancer treatments, presenting key issues also for drug companies and automakers.
Tired negotiators worked round the clock over the weekend to settle tough issues such as monopoly rights for new biotech drugs. A demand by New Zealand for greater access for its dairy exports was only settled at 5 a.m. EDT (0900 GMT) on Monday. (more…)
