Whooo doggies….  President Trump attended a working policy luncheon today with Senate Republicans.  Making brief remarks to the media, President Trump answered questions about the Mueller report and the manufactured false Russian narrative.

Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson (U-DC) was one of the Tea Party backed senators who came in during the 2010 election and later aligned with the UniParty Decepticon caucus funded by the Chamber of Commerce and Tom Donohue.
Senator Johnson wants to reform the National Emergencies Act to remove executive branch power and avoid the pesky problem when a President subverts the will of Wall Street and those who actually write legislation, The U.S. CoC and Business Roundtable.
On matters where the Multinationals, “world economy”, can benefit from MAGA policy, Johnson is a supporter of the President.  On matters where the Multinationals do not benefit from MAGA policy, Johnson is not a supporter of the President.

Earlier today President Donald Trump formally vetoed H.J. Res. 46, a joint resolution that would terminate national emergency declaration 9844.  U.S. Attorney General William Barr outlined the legal predicate for the executive branch authority to declare a national emergency under the National Emergencies Act.

ATTORNEY GENERAL BARR: Mr. President, your declaration of an emergency on the southern border was clearly authorized under the law and consistent with past precedent.
As you said, the National Emergencies Act directly authorizes the President, and gives broad discretionary authority to the President, to identify and respond to emergent circumstances that require a decisive response.
And the humanitarian and security crisis we have on the border right now is exactly the kind of emergency that Presidents are permitted to address under the National Emergencies Act.(link)

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler has produced his committee witness list to initiate the predictable groundwork for his ‘impeachment’ process.  Pelosi’s trio of organized co-horts Schiff, Cummings and Nadler each have a role in the process.
Chairman Nadler provides some specifics within his planned approach, announcing three investigative prongs: ¹Obstruction of Justice; ²Public Corruption and ³Abuses of power.

It seems Nadler will tackle the “obstruction” aspect; Cummings will specialize on the “public corruption” angle and Schiff will likely tackle the “abuse of power” approach.

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) unveiled an investigation by the House Judiciary Committee into the alleged obstruction of justice, public corruption, and other abuses of power by President Trump, his associates, and members of his Administration.  As a first step, the Committee has served document requests to 81 agencies, entities, and individuals believed to have information relevant to the investigation.
