Boxed In President Obama Reverses Course On Syria – Will Wait For Congress To (Dis)Approve Action…. Flinch? Chicken Out? Poll Testing?……. FUBAR?…. You Decide…

All About Politics – All About Optics – All The Time

Every single move our President takes is determined by political winds…..
Wow.  Just wow.   The speech by President Obama this afternoon was just staggeringly unreal.   Bizzarro World Type pretzel contortions.    The speech was short, but in a surprising twist Obama announced he will seek congressional authority on attacking Syria even though he believes he has the authority to go ahead with strike. (this really is must watch stuff – even if you find yourself challenged to stick with it through the absurd nature of what you are bearing witness to)

Following the speech Charles Krauthammer accurately captured several optical realities.

Melodrama Is Not A Substitute For Strategy

Melodrama –  A presentation in any form, such as a play, film,  television program or speech, characterized by exaggerated emotions, stereotypical characters, and interpersonal emotional conflicts which replace logic, forethought and careful deliberation.

Want to really know how bad it is?   And by “bad” I mean how far over their heads the current lineup of appointed Obama international crisis/conflict members are.   Check out this Q & A From Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel (more…)

Their Day In Court – The Florida School Bus Thugs Plead Guilty – The 13-year-old Victim Too Worried of Retaliation To Attend Court…

“Joshua is not that person,” Reddin’s mother said, after seeing the video for the first time.
“That’s really not him,” McKnight’s dad said. “That’s not his character.”
“If someone had told me that, and I had not seen that, I wouldn’t believe it,” said Khemradj’s grandfather, who is raising the boy.

CLEARWATER — There was a Jeykll and Hyde quality to Thursday’s court proceedings, where three 15-year-old boys pleaded guilty to beating a 13-year-old student on a school bus last month.

The boys appeared remorseful and respectful, their heads sometimes bowed.
It was all “Yes, sir” and “No, sir,” sometimes in unison, as Circuit Judge Raymond Gross painstakingly asked them a series of questions after their attorneys announced the trio would be pleading guilty in the July 10 beating.
But then Assistant State Attorney William Schopper asked that the video of the attack — the one that’s gone viral and turned the Gulfport school bus assault attack into a national story — be shown before Gross decided on a punishment.

In it, one of the boys, Joshua Reddin, is seen sitting behind the victim, snarling expletives. Soon, another boy, Julian McKnight, moves from his assigned seat, toward the back of the bus, to the front, near the victim. The pair pocket their cell phones and straighten out their clothing before they and the third boy, Lloyd Khemradj, pounce on the victim. (more…)

Immigration Reform – Congressman Luis Gutiérrez Shows How Insane The Progressive Left Has Become About The Issue….

(Via National Review)  At a town-hall event in Chantilly, Va., yesterday, Gutiérrez told attendees that while he has objections to the immigration bill passed by the Senate earlier this year, he would “vote for that proposal today . . . even under those harsh conditions” rather than not pass anything. He went on to list a series of cautionary tales about the tragedy that would result should Congress fail to pass an immigration bill:

“Today, someone is going to die in that desert, trying to return to their families, women and men are going to die in that desert; someone’s going to lose a finger, a hand, an eye, a life today because an unscrupulous employer is going to put them in harm’s way, someone’s going to die; there’s a woman that’s going to be raped in a field somewhere in America today because she has no rights in this country, and we need to end that; there are children who are going to cry and there are marriages that are going to be destroyed because someone is going to be deported, and there are going to be children that are going to be left orphaned in this country.”  (link)

The Polar Bear Shot Back…..

A MICHIGAN POLAR BEAR WAS ARMED […] The intended victim moved quickly, pulling his stainless steel .40-caliber Smith and Wesson. It had a full 10-round magazine, and was worth about $900 police estimated.
He shot Weaver in his buttocks as the teen turned to flee.
Marvell Jarome Weaver 1.jpg“It happened so fast I wasn’t sure. I just know something was shoved into my side. I wasn’t sure if it was a knife, if it was anything,” he told police.
Weaver ( <–PICTURED HERE ) ran, sat down across the street, his leg going numb, bleeding. Pleading.

Living Off The Chasm – Calling The Conversation Racist – Revisit 2012 msNBC'S Melissa Harris-Perry "This Country Is No Place For Young Black Men"….

zzz

msNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry went on a ridiculous diatribe December 3rd 2012, about America not being a safe place for “young black men” because non-black people are refusing to be attacked by them. Same insufferable logic surrounding “The Safari Principle” best identified in the mantra of George Zimmerman should not have gotten out of his car.

THE SAFARI PRINCIPLE – George Zimmerman left his vehicle, oh my!

The hidden subtext could be construed as the following… In modern America, a prudent citizen should know to remain in their vehicle, doors locked, windows up, when there are young black males known to be in the vicinity.

What does this say about our society?

Are we living in a drive through Safari Park?

If we get out of our vehicles we deserve what we get and shouldn’t blame the animals, much less shoot them in self-defense?
