A reminder for a friend…

Steadfast doesn’t mean when it’s easy; the term has no meaning when things are working according to our own convenient interests. Steadfast means standing strong when it’s challenging, difficult and unnerving. Just as courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is taking action despite being fearful; so too is steadfast a decision.

Often when things are disconcerting, we retreat to the place where we are comfortable. However, steadfast is unwavering despite the obstacles and difficulties. When we don’t hold the words to comfort the grieved, yet we show up and sit quietly just to eliminate loneliness, that is a steadfast commitment. When we see adversity on the face of another, and we choose to engage with our time and comfort, that is a steadfast decision.

When CTH was formed, it was a small assembly of misfits who were not fearless, but brave enough to be comfortable within our discomfort.  We knew we had to look deeply at the issues which face us. We remind ourselves that ‘truth has no agenda‘ & truth exists despite our feelings of the subject matter. The core elements of CTH are based on this principle of remaining steadfast amid the face of adversity, national, political or even personal.

The CTH armory is insightful, wise and often purposeful; but this assembly is foremost a fellowship. A steadfast decision to stand together and figure out how all of these intense subjects, issues and events interact, influence and ultimately impact our lives.

President Trump will deliver remarks today to the audience at CPAC 2021.  It is the first public speech by President Trump since leaving office.  This will likely be one of the most watched political speeches in years.  Everyone wants to know what President Trump has in store for the future of the MAGA movement.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis delivers a speech from CPAC 2021 which is being held in Orlando.  Governor DeSantis is leading the way to manage COVID-19 without shutting down schools and businesses.  As DeSantis notes the COVID infection rate is lower in open Florida than 23 lockdown states.  Additionally, the unemployment rate in Florida is far below the national average despite the tourism industry suffering due to the virus.

DeSantis talks about what he did to secure the 2020 election, and the reform he instituted in Broward County.  Also the state legislature is currently working on laws to stop ballot harvesting in the state; along with another initiative in the battle with Big Tech that DeSantis is leading to stop censorship, targeting and privacy violations.

The Florida governor talks at length about the failure of the Republican establishment and the need to continue pushing the MAGA agenda domestically and within foreign policy.  DeSantis also paid tribute to Rush Limbaugh an American hero and Florida resident.

After some mixed considerations about attending this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC, President Trump is apparently going to speak to the audience on Sunday February 28th.  Without a doubt this will be one of the most anticipated speeches of this year….

(Fox News) Former President Trump will make his first major public appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) conference later this month, Fox News has learned.

Traditionally held outside of Washington, D.C., the 2021 CPAC conference will kick off in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday.  Trump will be talking about the future of the Republican Party and the conservative movement. Also, look for the 45th president to take on President Biden’s “disastrous amnesty and border policies,” according to a source familiar with Trump’s speech.

Trump has stayed relatively quiet since leaving the White House on Jan. 20 for his Mar-a-lago resort in Florida and after Twitter banned him from the social media platform after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.  But Trump has indicated he wants to stay politically active and told his supporters after his impeachment acquittal the MAGA movement is still going strong. BRENT HAMACHEK – […] For those of us who still believe in and embrace the ideas of our founding, for those who believe that the individual and their liberty are of paramount importance and prime value, for those of us who believe that free market capitalism is the most moral and just system for organizing economic activity, we need to have an epiphany. We need to awaken to the reality that we are not a majority. We are not a vocal minority with the same rights as the majority. We are now dissidents. We do not have the same voice as our ever-strengthening oppressors, and we do not have the same rights that they enjoy.

For those who might argue that there more of us, or at least as many of us, who believe in individual liberty and free market capitalism than there are opponents to same, I would suggest that you should not confuse a simple head count with total political atomic mass. The positions within society that our opponents hold and the institutions and machinery they control gives them leverage beyond simple membership numbers.

As to our being cast in the role of dissidents, we have no choice. How we conduct ourselves in that role will be the difference between having a chance over the long term to ultimately prevail or having to spend a century or more under the totalitarian’s thumb. We need to understand the role we are in, the most effective course of action we can take, and above all, we must understand and accept our limitations. A failure to understand and accept the latter will only deepen and prolong our subjugation.  (read more)

In this podcast, at the 24:00 minute mark, Lara Trump hints that President Trump will again run for the presidency in 2024: “People are going to come out in full force if he runs again in 2024; which, stay tuned, I think he may.”   WATCH:

Strategically, I hope President Trump does run again – even if he doesn’t want to – for two reasons: (1) Because President Trump will plow the field and destroy the GOPe nominee, likely Nikki Haley; and (2) because even if 45 does not really want the nomination, his participation, and subsequent endorsement, will determine the winner.

That approach would essentially be President Trump running again just to crush the beltway and then select the nominee within the field that will be the future of MAGA.

We assemble upon a great digital battlefield in the fight for our republic. It is critical to reflect upon the values that form the foundation of our national assembly…. “Isolation starts with a rebellion against God“, we must be conscious about the need to connect.

It’s hard to believe this image was originally shared on these pages and discussed almost a decade ago.

There was just something about the shift in messaging from the totalitarian left that sounded an internal alarm amid those who were focused on the open dismissal of liberty and freedom that resounded from the drumbeat of the Obama era.

“Fundamental change” was a looming catch phrase many just seemed to ignore.

And here we are… divided by a network of seemingly intoxicating systems; many purposefully driven by the modern dynamic of social media, steering a tribal outcome we are only now just beginning to fathom.

Ultimately the collective weight of progressive leftism is putting us is isolation. There are many historic references to this disconcerting sentiment to review with hindsight.

We saw this coming…. we just didn’t know the entry vector that would be used to accomplish the final stages of diminished freedom and individual liberty. As we look at the current COVID-19 mandates, dictates and controls one cannot easily dismiss the weaponized use of a virus to attain division under the guise of “social distancing.”

CTH Admin Stella reminded me of an article written in May of 2013 when CTH was urgently, desperately, trying to awaken more people to see the natural conclusion to the events unfolding.  Events we were directly challenging.

At the time George Zimmerman was under attack; then came Ferguson (Wilson -vs- Mike Brown); then Baltimore (Freddie Gray -vs- Baltimore Six); but the natural alignment… the purpose of the events… was a leftist probe into weaponized narrative engineering in order to advance completely false and fabricated stories.  The U.S. media were testing whether they could control the outlook of Americans.

The shift in attack direction from media at the time was alarming. No longer was the media trying to excuse the transparently guilty of accountability; starting in 2012 what the new-era attack angle started to do was falsely accuse the transparently innocent.

Read that again, because it was a profound difference; and inflection point.

Leftists in politics and media were probing their ability to engineer entirely false positions and assertions of facts. This was new because they were now aligning to target the innocent. In 2013 CTH was trying to warn; to tell the story of where this was going to end up.  The clarion call has a similar resonance today, albeit with an increased urgency.
