I’ve tried three times to write this… but the knot in my throat keeps blocking the keystrokes.  There’s a couple of pictures that everyone needs to see today.

Especially today.

The first picture to see is 6-year-old Marcus Johnson. Marcus was a kindergartner at Highland Elementary in the Riverview Gardens School District.

[…] The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. [last night] as the family was leaving O’Fallon Park, just south of Interstate 70 in north St. Louis. Inside the van were three adults and five children.

The family said that a black vehicle pulled alongside their minivan on West Florissant Avenue and someone inside opened fire, Green said. The father of the child was driving the minivan grabbed a firearm and returned fire, police said.

After realizing three people in the minivan had been shot, the driver called police.

A 15-year-old boy and a 69-year-old man in the minivan were also hit. Both were being treated at a hospital. Police would not give their conditions, but said they were stable.

The child’s mother and three other children, ages 7, 10, and 11, were also in the minivan, police said. They were not hurt. (link)

Marcus was rushed by police to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT –  Two police officers have been shot in Ferguson Missouri during the protest by Ferguson “F**k The Police” agitators outside the Ferguson police HQ.

@02:40 …I don’t know who did the shooting to be honest with your right now… but, uh, somehow they were embedded in that group of folks”… (ie. the Ferguson protestors)

One police officer was shot in the face, the second was shot in the shoulder.  The shots appear to have come from a hill/road opposite the police station and within the crowd of protestors. More updates follow:

DETROIT – The FBI has announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the suspects wanted in the shooting of U.S. District Judge Terrence Berg, who was shot in Detroit Thursday night on his front porch after refusing to let two would-be intruders inside.

The tips must lead to the arrest and convictions of those responsible for the shooting.

According to police, two armed men approached Berg around 9:10 p.m. as he was outside his home in the University District on the city’s west side. Berg had just retrieved his garbage bin from the curb when he was approached by the two men on his porch.

According to Berg’s wife, Anita Sevier, one of the men told Berg that he had a gun, that he didn’t want to hurt him, but that they wanted to go inside the house. When Berg refused to let them inside, he was shot in the leg and the men fled. (more…)

Don’t let your jaw drop too far, this fundamental change is not just happening in college application processes.  This exact same methodology is also being applied to Credit Scores for home mortgages and car loans.

(Via LA TIMES) In a windowless classroom at an Arcadia tutoring center, parents crammed into child-sized desks and dug through their pockets and purses for pens as Ann Lee launches a PowerPoint presentation.

Her primer on college admissions begins with the basics: application deadlines, the relative virtues of the SAT versus the ACT and how many Advanced Placement tests to take.

Then she eases into a potentially incendiary topic — one that many counselors like her have learned they cannot avoid.

“Let’s talk about Asians,” she says.

Lee’s next slide shows three columns of numbers from a Princeton University study that tried to measure how race and ethnicity affect admissions by using SAT scores as a benchmark. It uses the term “bonus” to describe how many extra SAT points an applicant’s race is worth. She points to the first column.

African Americans received a “bonus” of 230 points, Lee says. (more…)

Channeling the same ideology of Al Sharpton, and ending his term as the nation’s top LEO, AG Holder gives an extensive interview to Politico outlining his desire to lower the standard of proof to bring federal civil rights charges.

Eric Holder was discussing the Trayvon Martin shooting incident as he gave his ideological assesment that it should be easier to target non-blacks, vis-à-vis George Zimmerman, who defend themselves against black attackers.

Previously Holder argued for, and gained, the removal of school discipline for black violations of school behavioral policy – using the controversial legal auspices of “disparate impact“. Apparently Holder wants to apply the same ideological approach toward what he defines as civil rights violations.

Politico […] “I think that if we adjust those standards, we can make the federal government a better backstop — make us more a part of the process in an appropriate way to reassure the American people that decisions are made by people who are really disinterested,” he said. “I think that if we make those adjustments, we will have that capacity.”

In an expression of logic that can only come from the mind of Al Sharpton – he expressed the following perspective:

“The intent to prove that Zimmerman did it because of his race, that is the legal threshold. Unless we change that legislation, we end up where we are in terms of the Trayvon Martin case”. (link)

And there you have the actual view.

Federal law defines hate crime as a crime carried out because of “race”. Sharpton wants to remove the hurdle of “racial intent”; in essence changing the definition so that any crime committed by a non-black, against a black person, can be considered a federal crime.

Think about that for a moment.

Of course she does, because just like the rest of the ideological race-baiting community, any violations of the Safari Park rules are simply not allowed.

(Via Campus Reform) MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry said Monday that she hoped that Trayvon Martin “whooped the shit out of George Zimmerman.”

Harris-Perry’s remarks came Monday while speaking during Cornell University’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Lecture.

The event, which was first reported by The Cornell Review, was titled “We Can’t Breathe: The Continuing Consequences of Inequality,” and was meant to serve “as a thought-provoking reflection on contemporary race relations and the role the teachings of Dr. King should play today,” according to the Review. James O’Keefe puts together a research video on Al Sharpton from the perspective of those inside the families he claims to advocate for. The overall video is ok, but in my opinion James has spotlighted the wrong genre in the professional Black Grievance Industry. (more after video)

The group “Lost Voices” gave their rights and video footage to a production company who were making a documentary.  The executive producer, Todd Walton, just screwed them out of any input or benefit, and took their name off the movie.  They have a sad. 
(Via Riverfront Times) Lost Voices: A Ferguson Story was supposed to be a narrative documentary about the struggle for justice and equality after the shooting death of Michael Brown.

In exchange for exclusive access to Lost Voices — a devoted and notoriously insular group of teens and twentysomethings who camped out in Ferguson during last year’s unrest — Chicago filmmaker Lonnie Edwards would dedicate his film to their cause.
It would be a tool to raise consciousness for the demonstrators fighting against police brutality and racial discrimination in St. Louis and the country. Lost Voices would tour the country with Edwards’ film, sharing their stories from the frontlines while engaging with people who watched the tumult unfurl on live streams and national news broadcasts.
At least, that’s what they thought would happen. (more…)
