Many people are framing the difference between the “libertarian wing” of the GOP against the “Decepticon wing” of the GOP establishment, as a point where libertarians meet left-wing progressives on the political spectrum. (Looking at you Brit Hume)
This is ideologically and fundamentally wrong, and leading to confusion. So let me interject after the Hannity video and reset the framework so that a larger understanding is intellectually absorbed. First the video:

Washington DC (Ammoland.com) —  In the final push toward the Senate gun control vote on April 17 2013, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) admitted Democrats were flying Newtown families into DC to break a Republican filibuster–he also admitted that those families did not know they were going to be used for that purpose until the plane carrying them was already in the air.

The families thought they were coming to DC to oppose “high capacity” magazines.  But according to The New York Times, once the families were in the air aboard Air Force One, Murphy let them know they would used “to get a vote on a vote.”

Hat Tip Sal Paradise – Typical Progs: When the Democrat Chairman of the NJ Law and Public Safety committee realizes the Gun control bill will not pass, he cancels the vote.

Teased over a gun range video showing him misfiring, he brings the gun to work as a bouncer, and shoots each of his 3 co-workers in the head.   Police report says of the teasing “it really bothered him”.   As you read the article -the coded anti gun messaging is subtle- but it’s there…. 

FLORIDA – A few nightclub bouncers in Ocala, Fla., had been laughing for days over an embarrassing video of one of their co-workers. Then, tired of the teasing, that co-worker apparently snapped, killing three of them, authorities told the Ocala Star Banner. The bouncer in the video, Andrew Joseph “Punchy” Lobban, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the incident.

Lobban, 31, recently had gone to a shooting range with one of his fellow bouncers who, according to authorities, recorded Lobban misfiring a gun, then shared the video of Lobban with other bouncers at a local nightclub, the Ocala Entertainment Complex.

Several recent developments are really beginning to highlight what happens when Radical Alinskyites take hold of political power. What we are all seeing in the national headlines, and the stories the liberal media are trying to ignore, is confirmation of how anti-American the progressive left actually is.

•  Today we shared with you how the man in charge of making sure racism is appropriately addressed in this country had to quit his job because he was told to carry out a racist leftist agenda.   Do not sell this factual story short on the importance scale.   Sure the media will not report it – But it is actually a fact.

(HOUSTON TEXAS)  […]  HPD Sgt. J. Brandon said, “They confronted the homeowner, assaulted him briefly and they put him in a closet.”

They didn’t look in the closet, because that’s where he keeps his guns.  Police were told the homeowner thought the men had left after a few minutes.  He went downstairs, armed just in case.

“He actually confronted one of the suspects who was still at his home and shots were exchanged,” Sgt. Brandon said.

The homeowner wasn’t injured but one of the suspects was.  Neighbor Craig Gaddis heard the gunfire and walked outside. (more…)

Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “Women Hunt” and quoting Shakespeare’s Henry V, Sarah Palin addressed the NRA-ILA forum in Houston, TX this week, opening her remarks with the bold statement:  “This is a Fight for the Future of Freedom”

As to be expected, Sarah Palin lives up to the expectation that she would throw out the red meat for the 2nd Amendment supporters.

She calls out the Corporate Media as the “poodle skirted cheerleader” for a “President who writes the book on exploiting tragedy”.

“Leaders who practice the politics of emotion”.

She moves on to address what she calls the “codependency of freedom and morality…”

“What can we do to nurture and support a people capable of living in freedom…”

Cue Prog splodey heads everywhere….

This one is in the top three intentional media lies so far this year.  It’s also brutally obvious  (National Review caught it):

MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts used a portion of Joe Biden’s speech at the dedication of a plaque recognizing the Americans lost in the Benghazi attack in order to make the case for gun control. Biden spoke about the risks State Department employees encounter overseas and the sacrifices families make: “No child should predecease their parents and noone should have to suffer the loss of their spouse, it’s not easy,” he said.

Replaying those remarks, Thomas Roberts claimed Biden was mourning “children as the victims of gun violence” noted that the vice president is set to make a new push for gun control. (link)

“We’ve had probably five or six lunches with a bunch of Republican senators standing and looking at Rand and Mike and me and yelling at us at the top of their lungs. I mean really upset. And they said, ‘Look, why did you do this? As a result of this I go home and constituents are yelling at me that I gotta stand on principal.” I’m really not making that up. I don’t even bother to argue with them… But, here was their argument. They said, ‘Before you did this the politics on this were all great. The Dems were the bad guys. The Republicans were the good guys. Now we all look like a bunch of squishes.’ Well there is an alternative. You could all just not be a bunch of squishes.”

Eric Holder is the Attorney General of the United States;  The chief law enforcement officer.  He is appointed by the Executive Branch, the President of the United States, and constitutionally required to “enforce the laws within the nation”.

The Legislative Branch passes laws.  ==> The Executive Branch enforces laws. ==>  The Judicial Branch evaluates laws.   That’s how this whole ‘giddy up’ we call the United States Constitutional Republic is set up to work.

The Executive Branch enforces laws –   The Executive Branch, President Obama, uses the Department of Justice to execute that federally required job responsibility.    That simply means that the AG, Eric Holder, is the primary “enforcer” of the processes to insure the laws on the national legislative books are followed.
