The unemployment rate, the figure that dominates reporting on the economy, is the fraction of the labor force (those working or seeking work) that is unemployed. This rate has declined slowly since the end of the Great Recession. What hasn’t recovered over that same period is the labor force participation rate, which today stands roughly where it did in 1977.

A couple of years ago, I supported a Kickstarter project to produce the film, FrackNation.
The group that produced FrackNation – Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney (his wife), and Magdalena Segieda – has chosen their next project. A made-for-tv movie that tells the story of Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist and serial killer.
This time they will be using IndieGoGo.com to raise funds from citizen producers. Ann and Phelim had to remove their campaign from Kickstarter when the fundraising site threatened to edit their language and made noise about canceling the campaign.
Here is their story, in their own words:

Just in case you didn’t see it 😀
I’ve been reading articles for years now about energy initiatives in Great Britain, in a politically-motivated effort to force green energy on the citizens of the British Isles.

Today The Daily Caller News Foundation published this report:

History is replete with the failures of man, it highlights his cruelty, his desires, and often reveals his true nature no matter what social or moral standards have been established.
In 1895 the English author H. G. Wells laid out the exact template for how The United States would be overtaken by a brutal enemy that is completely malicious and incapable of mercy. Decades later in 1938 the Columbia Broadcasting System radio network, directed and narrated by actor and filmmaker Orson Welles, put that sordid template into action.

With only the spoken and written word both convinced a nation that is was being overtaken by a foreign invader that sought their complete subjugation. The same holds true today, but it’s done in soundbites, and digital form with far greater speed and reach.

My mother, Jessie, was born in 1906 on a farm in the Michigan Thumb. She was the seventh of eight children, one of five girls. In those days there was no running water in the house, no electricity, and no central heating.
Their dad was a good farmer, the land was rich, and everyone had their jobs to do. Farming was done with horses, except when the traveling steam harvester would come by in the fall, and everyone would come together to get the harvest in.

I am reposting this video, originally posted on January 6, 2014, because I think we need to see it again. Hope you enjoy it.
This video is a speech made at the Defending The American Dream Summit in Orlando, Fl, last August. It’s a good message, and even if you’ve already seen this one, I would like to hear your opinions about the message. Enjoy!
David Wright, director of the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) in the Department Of Health And Human Services, just quit his job in a big way. Wright wrote an insanely blunt resignation letter that was recently published by ScienceInsider. In it, he exposed the dysfunctional bureaucratic red tape that limited him from doing his job more than half of the time.
Mr. Wright exposes the dysfunction of HHS, the government department that administers Obamacare. It seems that Mr. Wright will continue to expose the dysfunctional nature of HHS, by publishing his logs as the ORI Director. His frustration, in his own words:
