Today, June 18, is DAY #7 (of 2nd week) of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection. [Day #6 Summary Here]

(correction)  Jury selection is expected to continue with the “Frye Hearing” set to resume at 4:00pm set to resume on Wednesday with the State Prosecution recalling their expert, Tom Owen, to discuss whether the cries for help heard on the 911 call can be identified.   [Tom Owen stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night]

Yesterday the Defense expert, Dr. James L Wayman, testified from 4pm to 8:30pm – Judge Nelson is expected to rule on whether this information is presented to the jury during trial, or whether it is too conflicting to have divergent experts dispute each other. (more…)

ROFLMAO – Mossad Treeper Won Court Spectator “Lottery”…

Tomorrow a rather dapper, and well regarded chap, will be seated in the courtroom gallery.   I promised I’d try to grab his pic in a screenshot.   This should be fun.

Zimmerman Trial left side

From what I’m told the odds of winning the gallery lotto appeared to be 1:1 with fewer requests than seats for attendees.   Our super sleuth  is on Stealth Treeper Assignment –  and armed with all the latest NSA approved gadgetry he’ll be conducting super secret surveillance –    😉

So tomorrow the first Treeper to identify our pal will receive a Breitbart Avatar Award – and a one hour supply of boiled peanuts and pork rinds.   Think of it like a “where’s Waldo”.

(Bonus peanuts if you name him 😉 )

“Fire In The Hole” – These folks really don’t want answers to their ponderings….. It’s too difficult to accept.

patriotSometimes you’ve got to call the baby ugly.

If things were not rapidly approaching a critical mass – this would not be needed.   Alas they are, and it is, and emotional obfuscations and insufferable detachments from reality need to be confronted:

Nettles:    In reading Robert Zimmerman’s book yesterday, I opined the characterization of Mr. O’Mara as a control freak was going to set off Diwataman and Sundance. Not sure if that is why the post today but it’s highly likely.

*yes, Correct.  THAT, and desperate plea(s) for immediate help – were the reasons for sharing the reality that is the O’Mara nightmare…./SD

Sundance is close-minded on the subject. He shut down my voice on it and many others. So with each posting those who disagree will shut-up or get banned. He’s entitled to his opinion as each of us are as well.  (link)

Pinecone (minpin) You guessed correctly Nettles. Yes, sundance has taken the O’mara said he was a control freak statement all the way in his latest trash piece. (more…)

“Parseltongue” – If He Wins, He Loses – If He Loses, He Loses Less….

… such is the bizarre reality of George  Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara.

Mark O'Mara 1Before getting into the substance of this consideration – multiple disclaimers are needed.

It is a sad reality the previous sentence even needs to be advanced, but it has become a necessary consideration.   Because discussion of Mark O’Mara is so toxic and divisive, if we don’t quantify the substance of presentation with disclaimers we’ll spend a ridiculous amount of time having to moderate, explain and explain again.

We have approached both opinion and research on Mark O’Mara using the exact same methodology applied to all other parties in this case.  People like Benjamin Crump, Natalie Jackson, Daryl Parks, Ryan Julison, Francis Oliver, et al, and even the media people like Daralene Jones, Matt Gutman, Frances Robles, Joy-Ann Reid etc.   The exact same critical research approach has been applied.

Some people cannot accept using a critical lens to look at the O’Mara aspect.  Many of those people are no longer here because of their inherent constitution not to be open-minded in the same regard.

What sets the Treehouse apart from most all others, is analysis based on research to apply the most logical explanations, Occam’s Razor, to some of the most difficult to understand aspects of any issue.   The State of Florida V Zimmerman is one of the most challenging to understand from a perspective of intent and motivation. A Father, A Good Man, A Book Review – Robert Zimmerman Senior

Robert Zimmerman SeniorPained, troubled and brave–those are the sentiments, turned adjectives, I would use to describe the word-image when reading the recently published book by Robert Zimmerman Sr.

Knowing the Zimmerman family found some form of understanding through the research we had compiled last year surrounding the entire scheme to arrest George Zimmerman is good. Reading the words of George’s father, Robert, we can grasp the feeling of being overwhelmed. ‘Fleas looking into the furnace of hate’ is how we visualized them last year.

The recent publication outlines that sense with profound affirmation.

As followers of this site will know by now, there was a time several months ago when all of my available options were exhausted. Our promise of intellectual honesty demanded we not pull punches, and speak the truth openly and directly regardless of consequence. But when it came to honest discussion of George’s legal counsel, Mark O’Mara, we knew the ground was precarious and filled with invisible land mines. Trepidations were overwhelming.

So reluctantly, out of fear of undermining George Zimmerman’s defense, and yet the need for a necessarily dictated honesty, we reached out to his Dad. (more…)

Thread #2 – Zimmerman Trial Day #5 – Open Discussion Thread *UPDATE* Added O’Mara Presser

Today, June 14th is DAY #5 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection. Yesterday the Court continued its preliminary questioning of prospective jurors, moving through 10 candidates by the end of the day.

The biggest event of the day, however, occurred shortly after the lunch recess when Judge Nelson’s announced from the bench that she would be ordering the sequestration of the jury for the duration of the trial,. She based this decision on the fact that both parties agreed the trial was likely to take two to four weeks, as opposed to the four to six weeks that many had anticipated.

It appeared that she had been inclined to sequester the jury if the sequestration period was not to be too long. With the agreement on the likely shorter duration of the trial, the balance swung in favor of sequestration. [Yesterday summary HERE]

Day #4 Zimmerman Trial – Open Discussion Thread #2

Thread #2

Today, June 13th is DAY #4 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection. Yesterday the Court continued its preliminary questioning of prospective jurors, moving through 10 candidates by the end of the day.

As was the case previously, questions were limited to how much exposure the prospective juror had to the case through the media and other channels, as well as how that may have impacted their opinion of the case. There was also some speculation yesterday the defense believed a jury might be seated by the middle of next week. In addition, it was disclosed that a total of 71 jurors have been dismissed at this point.

Another 100 were summoned today, but are on call and do not have to report immediately to the court house. There was also a notable increase in questioning by both the State and the defense about the prospective juror’s use of social media. There was little of this on Monday, but it’s become an increasing focus of questioning since then. There also seemed to be an increased interest in whether the prospective jurors were active in church. (more…)
