Today, June 13th is DAY #4 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection.   Yesterday the Court continued its preliminary questioning of prospective jurors, moving through 10 candidates by the end of the day.

As was the case previously, questions were limited to how much exposure the prospective juror had to the case through the media and other channels, as well as how that may have impacted their opinion of the case.   There was also some speculation yesterday the defense believed a jury might be seated by the middle of next week.  In addition, it was disclosed that a total of 71 jurors have been dismissed at this point.

Another 100 were summoned today, but are on call and do not have to report immediately to the court house.  There was also a notable increase in questioning by both the State and the defense about the prospective juror’s use of social media.  There was little of this on Monday, but it’s become an increasing focus of questioning since then.  There also seemed to be an increased interest in whether the prospective jurors were active in church. Read The research taking place in the comments section and you will begin to grasp exactly how encompassing the rot is behind this case. Today after trial for jury selection Trayvon’s™ Mom, Sybrina, and Trayvon’s™ Dad, Tracy, gave a press conference.    However, just before they delivered their prepared remarks something serendipitous happened in the courtroom which brings a profound irony when contrast against their prepared statement.

#TrayvonMartin family attorneys just emailed out text of the statement Crump gave after #GeorgeZimmerman jury selection today. Here it is:

“Today on the third day of the jury selection in the Trayvon Martin murder trial we are inspired by the honesty of the potential jurors. Their answers have been forthright and we have faith that the justice system and the members of the public who are selected for the jury will perform their civic duty in a fair and impartial manner.

Yesterday, former NYPD detective Harry Houck commented to FOX that Trayvon would be alive today if he didn’t have a “street attitude.” This comment, made on a live panel, is reprehensible and extremely reminiscent of the victim blaming rhetoric we saw a year ago. We all know Trayvon Martin was an unarmed teenager, who’d just bought Skittles and a tea on a chilly Florida evening in February. George Zimmerman was an armed adult who followed Trayvon down a street, pursued him and then shot him.

We are calling on the media to refuse to perpetuate victim blaming and irresponsible characterizations of Trayvon. The evidence shows there is no blood on Trayvon’s hands. Trayvon is not on trial here, he is the victim. Trayvon’s killer, George Zimmerman, is the man who is on trial.”

Today, June 12th is DAY #3 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection.  The “Frye Hearing” is expected to continue at the conclusion of the jury selection.  One of the Defense experts, Dr. James Wayman, was unable to complete testimony on Saturday 6/8/13. His testimony is anticipated to refute state expert Tom Owen.

There is some really good statistical probability discussion in the prior day’s threads as both DiwataMan and John Galt continue to monitor the race and ethnicity of the jury pool.  Given the nature of the Seminole County population at large, the absence of Hispanic potential jurists, and the high number of Black potential jurists, is quite an odd statistical anomaly.    A few members of the media have also taken note of this.  What’s factually causing the skew is unknown – But one thing is certain, it is statistically impossible for the current make-up of the “potential jurists” to be random;  Meaning something, or some process, is skewing the ethnic and racial make-up of the public who received jury duty notifications.  We’ll continue to monitor this aspect – it is very intriguing.

Today, June 11th is DAY #2 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. Continuing jury selection.    Does anyone know what the status on the Frye Hearing is?

One of the Defense experts, Dr. James Wayman, was unable to complete testimony on Saturday. His testimony is anticipated to refute state expert Tom Owen.

Mark O’Mara told the media at the conclusion of the Saturday hearing he planned to request a continuance.  It appears he tried – but as expected it was denied.  However, he did say he was prepared either way.

Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton standing “inside a courtroom” delivering officially state sanctioned remarks.  I say State Sanctioned because it was allowed to take place in a courtroom, staged for the media and public.

Gee do you think the delicate sensibilities of the Professional Black Grievance Industry are being pandered to?   PC running amok is an understatement toward various orders of magnitude.

We are not quite sure which events will flow first: jury selection, or, the remainder of the Frye hearing audio witness analysis.    Over the weekend the hearing arguments by both the defense and the Prosecution teams for their “audio experts” continued.  However, one of the Defense experts, Dr. James Wayman,  was unable to complete testimony on Saturday.  His testimony is anticipated to refute state expert Tom Owen.

(MSNBC.com)…A special prosecutor in the second-degree murder case against George Zimmerman released more evidence Thursday, including a first glimpse at what the FBI has found in its civil rights investigation with dozens of witnesses.  The evidence released by Special Prosecutor Angela Corey also included interviews from one of her investigators with Trayvon Martin’s cousin, who was with him the night before Martin was shot.
