The irony over the deployment of the national guard, fencing and barbed wire around the DC capitol exists because there never has been a “right-wing extremist”  insurrection effort in DC yet the Biden administration and Democrats use that false narrative as justification for Speaker Pelosi’s armed encampment.  The U.S. media are currently pushing that false narrative with every opportunity.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the nation in Portland Oregon, an actual “left-wing extremist” insurrection effort has been taking place for months; yet the national media ignore it and the Biden administration -together with Speaker Pelosi- pretend not to know about it.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill reinstated third-degree murder charges against Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on the third day of jury selection.  The trial now includes a set of charges against Chauvin more favorable to the prosecution who may not be able to prove second-degree murder and/or possibly second-degree manslaughter.

Meanwhile the political activists are using the opportunity of the trial to take control over a portion of the city where even the police will no longer patrol.  The leftists have created an autonomous zone, a no-go zone, near the site of the George Floyd memorial.  (Video Report Below):

MINNESOTA – […] Judge Peter Cahill on Thursday granted prosecutors’ motion to reinstate the third-degree murder charge, which would require a lower standard of proof than second-degree. In order to convict Chauvin of second-degree murder, prosecutors would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd’s death while committing or attempting to commit a related felony, in this case third-degree assault.

To win a conviction on third-degree murder, prosecutors would need to prove that Chauvin caused Floyd’s death in an act that is “eminently dangerous” to others. The additional count adds another option for jurors to consider as they weigh charges against Chauvin, which legal experts say is a benefit for prosecutors. (more)

The House is determined to advance further gun control legislation as an action priority for Democrats.   Unfortunately eight republican House members are supportive of the Democrat effort to restrict gun ownership [HR8]. 

The republicans in the House who voted in support of the background check bills are: Vern Buchanan (R-FL-16), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL-25), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1), Will Hurd (R-TX-23), Peter T. King (R-NY-2), Brian Mast (R-FL-18), Chris Smith (R-NJ-4), and Fred Upton (R-MI-6).

WASHINGTON DC – […] “The first bill, [HR 8 HERE] which passed 227-203, is designed to close loopholes to ensure background checks are extended to private and online sales that often go undetected, including at gun shows. The legislation includes limited exceptions allowing temporary transfers to prevent imminent harm, for use at a target range and for gifts from family, among others.”

Specifically, it prohibits a firearm transfer between private parties unless a licensed gun dealer, manufacturer, or importer first takes possession of the firearm to conduct a background check.  The prohibition does not apply to certain firearm transfers, such as a gift between spouses in good faith.

The second bill, which passed 219-210, would extend the review period for background checks from three to 10 days. (more)

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has rapidly become one of the most ardent supporters of MAGA policy and political perspectives in Washington DC.  She is opposed by all the correct enemies as to reflect how the UniParty politicians consider her a risk to the DC system.

Today MTG appeared on the Steve Bannon podcast to discuss her perspective and experience in Washington DC with Democrats and Republicans.  Ms. Greene notes her experience with the UniParty apparatus, a singular political outlook that surrounds all of the politicians occupying Washington DC.  The Conservative Treehouse has long discussed this exact issue.

Modern journalism is a complete mess of Moonbats with tender sensibilities expressing their rage against those who they disagree with.  However, if you dare to defend yourself or confront their ideological nonsense, you are “attacking” them and inciting “harassment” against them.  Essentially modern journalists are tender snowflakes who demand to be respected as they use their position as a weapon against those they disagree with.

After Tucker Carlson called out one of the New York Times reporters, the Times -yet again- claimed their journalist was being harassed.  It is a ridiculous circle of meaningless self-indulgent nonsense, as Tucker Carlson rightly noted earlier tonight.  WATCH:
