FACT: Eric Holder approved and affirmed a phone records subpoena claiming Fox News journalist, James Rosen, was an unindicted co-conspirator to domestic terrorism charges. He then went judge shopping to get the subpoenas validated; two judges said NO, the 3rd agreed to approve. Holder said after reading about it in the Washington Post he regrets doing it.
However, prior to that coming out, on May 15th Holder went before congress and said:
“with regard to potential prosecution of the press for disclosure of material, that is not something that I have ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be a wise policy.”
A flat out lie. No if’s, and’s, or but’s about it. He was “involved in”; He had “heard of”; and he did “think it was a wise policy”; After all, he approved it.
But according to the White House, Holder was being truthful. (more…)
First a few general house keeping fyi’s. My sincere apologies for anyone who felt slighted by sending a Twitter DM and not getting a response. We barely use Twitter; The auto-twitter feature that dispatches post notifications is on auto-pilot and we rarely go to the actual Treehouse Twitter home page. Only yesterday I became aware of the DM feature and upon checking the ‘envelopey thing’ realized people had submitted notes that sat unattended. Again, my apologies.

Meet The Clockers: The revelation that Trayvon Martin’s phone holds a video he made of a homeless man being beaten by Trayvon and his team of co-horts is, well, a big deal. A VERY big deal.
This means the State of Florida has known since, well, lets be generous, June/July of last year, that they possessed evidence of a crime. Obviously, it appears they did nothing about it – most likely because it would have presented itself as a diminishment to their case and the narrative of innocent, skittle carrying, teenage Trayvon.
However, now the video is known by both the Defense and the Prosecution, and by consequence the media, I’m sure someone would want to follow up on the criminal activity the video documents. Someone, anyone, right? (more…)

“I talked about this to a number of my senators today…” Reid said, as quoted by the Las Vegas Sun. “I think we have 60 votes. Remember, we start out at 55 Democrats. “I think there is a bigger story here that will in time come out. The biggest scandal of all, the biggest question is what was the president doing in those eight hours. He had a routine meeting at five o’clock. He never after during the eight hours when our guys have their lives in danger, he never called the Secretary of Defense, he never calls the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, he never called the CIA Director, Who does he call? But five hours in he calls the Secretary of State. And after the phone call she releases a statement essentially about the video and how we denounce any intolerance. It looks as if the only phone call is to construct a cover story at a time when the last two Americans who died were still alive and fighting for their lives. The Book of Progressive Chauvinism – There is a reason why snobby elites on the Upper West Side of Manhattan generously donate to leftist causes and support leftist politicians. Snobs and radicals often act in accord because they are not opposites, as some believe, but rather spiritual cousins – equally despising “the bourgeois,” sharing a low view of humanity as herd animals, and sorting people not on their individual merits but by color, income, occupation, ethnicity, gender, and any other characteristic except the content of their minds.
Elitists share the presumption that people of the world cannot think for themselves and have no room in their souls for individual ambitions and achievements outside of what the government is giving them. Short of stating it explicitly, elitism implies that “the masses” are mindless, spiritless creatures without free will, always in need of the largesse of the state, and for their own good the state ought to nationalize the country’s resources in order to feed its subjects.
