The "One Drop" Principle – In Reverse…

By now most people are familiar with the African American or Black racial category and/or distinction applying to persons of mixed race.   Indeed Barack Obama calls himself “black”, as does just about everyone with mixed racial ethnicities where one parent is black and the other white.
Some have even gone so far as to say that even various degrees of distance from genetic disposition allows a person to claim identification as the minority race.   The example of Senator Elizabeth Warren who claims native American lineage comes readily to mind.
But what about when the person is engaging in unlawful or criminal activity?  Does the behavior lend itself to alternate definitions of race?    That example became evident in the George Zimmerman case where Mr. Zimmerman was media categorized as “white”.  Then, after the reality of his actual Hispanic heritage surfaced, a new box  called white-Hispanic was born.
The emphasis was in keeping “white” as an identifier because it helped solidify the manipulation of race into the narrative.  Without it, the media hook was diminished considerably;  certainly it became less appealing.
Do you remember the 14-year-old thug, Philip Chism, who beat his 24-year-old white teacher, Colleen Ritzer, to death at Danvers High School?
A reader/blogger at freefabulousgirl.com noted an unusual outcome of his Massachusetts police report.
The cops categorized his race as “white” on the police report. (more…)

Up Next – Race Based Car Loans ?

(Via Moonbattery)  America under liberal rule is a racist tyranny. Think that is hyperbole? Then talk to a car dealer about this:

[T]he new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau [CFPB] is ginning up a campaign to use “disparate impact” analysis to charge racism in auto lending. That’s the theory that looks at statistics to prove bias without evidence of specific discriminatory intent. Never mind the financial or other circumstances of the borrowers beyond their race.

That is, car dealers must provide a proportionately equivalent number of car loans, at the same interest rate, to all racial groups, regardless of whether members of these groups are equally likely to repay the loan. Essentially, if Customer X has money in the bank and has never missed a day of work in his life, and Customer Y is living on welfare and just got out of jail, they must be regarded as equal credit risks if Customer Y is lucky enough to be black. Alec Baldwin Suspended From MSNBC Show That No-One Watched For Being Alec Baldwin….. or something.

Epic day for wonderfully progressive MSNBC.    Apparently the collapse of Obamacare is affecting the liberally-minded folks who are in charge of selling it…. or something:

(Via Huffington Post)  Alec Baldwin’s MSNBC show was pulled from the network’s schedule for two weeks on Friday following the actor’s latest homophobia scandal.
Baldwin was embroiled in controversy after he was caught on tape swearing at a photographer. Most people thought he called the man a “c–k sucking f–g”; Baldwin denied saying the latter word, but apologized for saying the former one.
MSNBC made no comment about the simmering scandal for days—something that led to heated criticism. Other cable news hosts, such as Anderson Cooper, also attacked Baldwin for making the comments. (more…)

Obamacare and Denis McDonough's "Quantitative Appeasing"

UPDATE – Oops, original post had wrong link to McDonough article —  Fixed now, Sorry.

barack-obama-denis-mcdonough-2008- the fixerWASHINGTON DC – […]  McDonough, speaking privately to Democrats in a closed session Thursday  afternoon, said the president’s hands were tied, to an extent, in trying to move  the policy to fit his promise.
We do not have a deal where everyone who has received a cancellation notice  that they can re-buy. We can’t mandate that,” he saidaccording to sources present. But, he argued, the new policy shifts the  burden for cancellations to state insurance commissioners and insurance  companies — an important political distinction. If a tea party Republican  contends that someone lost his or her insurance because of the law, McDonough  said “that is absolutely untrue.”
At one point, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) asked why the White House isn’t  doing more to blame insurers for policy cancellation notices.
McDonough replied that there are good actors and bad actors in the insurance  industry.
I think it is dangerous to paint with a broad brush,” he said.  (LINK)

In essence Obama’s “fixer”, Denis McDonough, is saying there are people in the Insurance industry who are “with us“, and there are some “against us“.

Priorities? Obama Admits His "concern" Is For The Political Life Of His Fellow Democrats – Not The American People Seeing Their Healthcare Destroyed…

In a follow-up to President Obama’s declaration of his “insurance policy cancellation fix”, he outlined his real concern.
It is not a concern for the American People who are seeing the deconstruction of their individual healthcare;  it is not a concern for anyone now thrown into chaos by their loss of health insurance;   no, for Obama the concern is about how it might hurt his party and their re-election.
Obama_sealWASHINGTON DC – President Obama acknowledged Thursday that the problem-ridden rollout of open enrollment in the new health care law had hurt Democrats politically.
There is no doubt that our failure to roll out the ACA smoothly has put a burden on Democrats, whether they’re running or not, because they stood up and supported this effort through thick and thin,” Obama said Thursday, announcing that insurers could allow customers to stay on cancelled plans for another year.
“I feel deeply responsible for making it harder for them rather than easier for them to continue to promote the core values that I think led them to support this thing in the first place,” he added.  (continue reading)

President Obama's Insurance Cancellation "FIX" – A Fix That Infuriates The Health Insurance Industry…

(Via Washington Post)  […]   [President Obama’s Plan is to] Allow insurers to renew existing plans in 2014 (which means they could continue into 2015) while forcing them to send Landrieu-like letters explaining why their plans don’t conform to the Affordable Care Act’s standards.

This doesn’t really ensure anyone can actually keep their plan — which means it also doesn’t affect premiums in the exchanges. But it makes it easier for Democrats to blame insurers for canceling these plans. And it perhaps makes it easier for the White House to stop congressional Democrats from signing onto something like Landrieu or Udall.
The insurance industry is furious. They’ve been working with the White House to get HealthCare.Gov up and running and they’ve been devoting countless man hours to dealing with the problems and they’ve been taking the heat from their customers over canceled plans, and now the Obama administration wants to make them into a scapegoat. The Counter "Got Insurance" Campaign…. "Got Cancellation"

I’m not good enough with photo shop or visual skills.   But when I saw the latest Obamacare ad campaign I had an idea.   First, here is the Obamacare ad:
got-insurance-physical
Every article I have read about this campaign is focused to the crass, rude and inappropriate advertising construct.   Actually, that was not what caught my attention.
What caught my attention was an immediate recognition of how successful a counter campaign would be using images to reflect  the opposite truth.
Rather than deconstruct a “Got Insurance” campaign of keg stands and sex parties.   Why not focus on the reality of Obamacare:   “Got Cancellation”?
