CALIFORNIA – A yearbook photo of a high school teacher making a political statement by dressing up like slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin was stirring up controversy in the community Thursday.

As classes let out for the day at Brentwood’s Heritage High School in Brentwood, California Thursday, students were more excited than usual because the school had issued the 2014 yearbook.

Very quickly, a portrait taken by longtime history teacher Spencer Smith became a hot topic sweeping across campus.

In the photo, Smith is dressed like Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager killed by neighborhood watch coordinator George Zimmerman in 2012.

Smith is wearing a hoodie with the hood covering his head and he’s holding a bag of Skittles candy.

Reactions to the photo among students were mixed.

“I think it’s OK that he did it, just not in the yearbook. I think he can do it at his house or on his Facebook. But not in the yearbook,” said sophomore Amber McKim. (more…)

Forget the fact we still don’t know why Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi. Forget the fact that none of the other injured victims have been allowed to testify publically about events in Benghazi. Forget the fact that both the White House and State Dept have fought to hide information about the Benghazi 9-11 attack. Forget the fact the CIA and White House are in direct contradiction to each other.  Forget the fact that for some reason the activity in Benghazi Libya was an unknown joint State Dept./CIA operation.   Forget the fact Obama, Clinton, Power and Rice armed al-Qaeda operatives, “the rebels” in Benghazi.

Forget all that stuff…. Any Libyan inquiry is grounded in a racist motivation. So sayeth the CBC and Clyburn.

(Via Huffington Post)  Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis received a hostile greeting in Los Angeles Thursday morning, when life-sized posters depicting her as “Abortion Barbie” began popping up throughout the city ahead of her fundraiser there.

The posters say “Hollywood welcomes Abortion Barbie Wendy Davis,” and they show Davis’ face on a mostly-naked barbie doll with a plastic baby in her belly. Conservative pundit Erick Erickson nicknamed Davis “Abortion Barbie” earlier this year because when she was a state senator, she stood on her feet and spoke for 11 hours straight to filibuster a draconian package of anti-abortion bills. (Via ABC)  A still-classified State Department e-mail says that one of the first responses from the White House to the Benghazi attack was to contact YouTube to warn of the “ramifications” of allowing the posting of an anti-Islamic video, according to Rep. Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The memo suggests that even as the attack was still underway — and before the CIA began the process of compiling talking points on its analysis of what happened — the White House believed it was in retaliation for a controversial video.

The subject line of the e-mail, which was sent at 9:11 p.m. Eastern Time on the night of the attack, is “Update on Response to actions – Libya.” The e-mail was written hours before the attack was over.

Issa has asked the White House to declassify and release the document. In the meantime he has inserted a sentence from the e-mail in the Congressional Record.

The White House legal advisor who framed the administrations legal references for drone killing of American citizens is due to be confirmed without allowing his drone memos to be reviewed prior to confirmation vote.  Yeah, we have a problem with that…. 

WASHINGTON DC – Bolstered by the promised public release of a secret legal memo, Senate Democrats are ready to approve a top federal judgeship for a former Obama administration official who helped formulate the justification for the drone killings of suspected American terrorists overseas.

The Senate was expected Thursday to approve David Barron to join the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is based in Boston.

Barron cleared a pivotal hurdle Wednesday when senators voted 52-43 to end opponents’ efforts to derail the nomination. In that roll call, Barron was opposed by every voting Republican and two Democrats, Sens. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Joe Manchin of West Virginia. (more…)

That classified assessment, which has never before been publicly disclosed, was in keeping with the message coming from the White House. President Obama rode to re-election in 2012 partly on the success of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. At rallies and in press conferences, the president and top officials publicly said al Qaeda was on the run.

But some senior U.S. intelligence officials, like Defense Intelligence Agency Director Gen. Michael Flynn, fought hard against that assessment, which amounted to an official pronouncement of the American intelligence community’s collected wisdom. Flynn and his faction won a partial victory, striking the judgment that the terrorist group no longer posed a threat to the homeland. “Flynn and others at the time made it clear they would not go along with that kind of assessment,” one U.S. intelligence officer who worked on the al Qaeda file told The Daily Beast. “It was basically: ‘Over my dead body.’” (more…)

Most of the time the Politically Correct media’s inherent agenda to hide the race of murder suspects (when they are black) is subtle.   Sometimes it’s obvious…. and sometimes it’s BRUTALLY OBVIOUS. 

Here is an example of the most blatant and brutally obvious media manipulations we have seen in a while.

Channel 6 in Orlando Florida is covering the story of three black suspects who open fire on a random white target in front of a hospital.

However, the media go well beyond racial censorship and directly to outright fraud.  To understand the scope of their insufferable manipulations you must know two facts before you watch this video.

¹ First, the person being interviewed told Channel 6 in this interview the shooters were black males and the driver was a black female.   {You can see the cut/edit if you watch closely}

² Second, the police report clearly describes the race, gender, and identifying characteristics of the suspects.    The reporter has the police report.

Now, knowing those two points, look how they transmit the story to their viewers.   Even when (@2:15) the in studio personality specifically asks:

“And Shawn…. Did police give any better description of the suspects or their car?”

My company, Lavabit, provided email services to 410,000 people – including Edward Snowden, according to news reports – and thrived by offering features specifically designed to protect the privacy and security of its customers.

I had no choice but to consent to the installation of their device, which would hand the US government access to all of the messages – to and from all of my customers – as they travelled between their email accounts other providers on the Internet.

But that wasn’t enough. The federal agents then claimed that their court order required me to surrender my company’s private encryption keys, and I balked. What they said they needed were customer passwords – which were sent securely – so that they could access the plain-text versions of messages from customers using my company’s encrypted storage feature. On June 4th 2012 Aurora Colorado police were chasing a bank robbery suspect. They narrowed his location to an intersection but did not have a description of his appearance. So they forcibly dragged everyone in 19 vehicles from their cars at gunpoint, handcuffed them, and detained 40 people for over two hours while they attempted to identify the suspect.

Police Chief Daniel Oates demonstrated his ignorance of the Fourth Amendment when he told CBS in Denver “the ends justify the means” after the illegal round-up snared a suspect. He described the mass detainment and handcuffing as lawful and necessary.

“The law is clear that investigative detentions are lawful for a reasonable period of time,” Oates said. “Reasonableness is determined by the facts and circumstances at issue, and the facts and circumstances were the suspect was in one of 19 cars.”

Oates then apologized to the innocent bystanders who were terrorized.

Probable cause under the Fourth Amendment is in effect when a person is detained or arrested and is not free to leave. Police can only detain a person when facts are sufficient to warrant an arrest or seizure of an individual.  A person arrested without probable cause may sue the government and the police.
