Controversial FBI Officials Linked To Wall Street Journal and Washington Post Leaks…

There has been a great deal of speculation about FBI Agent Peter Strzok and FBI Attorney Lisa Page leaking to media in their efforts to shape stories conducive to their pro-Clinton/anti-Trump efforts. Prior reporting showed the strong possibility Page and Strzok were leaking to the Wall Street Journal.

“Article is out, but hidden behind paywall so can’t read it,” Page texted Strzok on Oct. 24, 2016.
“Wsj? Boy that was fast,” Strzok texted back, using the initials of the famed financial newspaper. “Should I ‘find’ it and tell the team?” (link)

Some new information today, and some additional research, and we can not only confirm the prior suspicions outlined by John Solomon (The Hill) – but we also discover the actual Wall Street Journal reporter they were leaking to.
Yesterday Senator Chuck Grassley released a series of text messages between Page and Strzok (full pdf here). Within the release there is a portion of messaging where Lisa Page is identified on the phone with “Devlin” (see page #5screen grab below):

[Peter Strzok is ‘INBOX’ and Lisa Page is “OUTBOX’]

It now appears the “Devlin” in question is former Wall Street Journal National Security reporter Devlin Barrett, currently with The Washington Post.
Here’s why? On October 28th, 2016 (as above), at the exact time the re-opening of the Clinton investigation hit the media news-cycle, Page and Strzok were texting.  From the released messaging we see at 5:19pm Lisa Page is on the phone with “Devlin”:

President Trump Hosts Bilateral Meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May…

U.S. President Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Against the backdrop of increasing discoveries surrounding the U.K. involvement in undermining the candidacy of Donald Trump; and against the left-wing U.K. political forces consistently highlighting criticism of President Trump; the reality is the U.K. is now in a position of economic vulnerability and needs favorable financial outcomes from President Trump.
As such, Prime Minister May is in a tenuous position and hoping the U.S. President will be magnanimous in his forgiveness of the past two years of scheming, ankle-biting and very public criticism. The scale of President Trump’s leverage over Prime Minister May is very visible in their dialogue and body language.

.
Right now the U.K. needs American economic help and POTUS Trump. Almost nothing has worked in their economic benefit since they made the conscious decision to take a position of adversarialism. If the U.K. doesn’t knock off the nonsense President Trump will stand aside and watch them suffer. Theresa May knows this is her reality.
T-Rex is enjoying the art of the deal, having flashbacks to corporate life, remembering the power of holding all the leverage while witnessing an apex predator circling his prey. Cohn and McMaster well understand the play…

Intel Committee Ranking Dem Adam Schiff: "Can't Release Memo Because American People Won't Understand It"…

Fyi, here’s the spin from the other side of the aisle. The ranking democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, explains the reasons why the House intelligence memo should never be released.

.
CABRERA: “Let me ask you about the Russia investigation because I can’t have you here and not. Especially given how much we talked about it in the first year of the presidency. And now if you turn on any conservative media, they keep talking about this Nunes memo, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, that he’s put out there and many Republicans have taken a look at it and they want it made public. Can you tell us about this memo? What exactly is it?”

Representative Jim Jordan Discusses #ReleaseTheMemo – FISA Abuse and DOJ/FBI Corruption…

House Judiciary Committee member Jim Jordan interviewed by Martha MacCallum as he discusses the House Intelligence Committee summary memo that outlined DOJ and FBI abuse of FISA surveillance.
The producers of Martha MacCallum’s show smartly bring Evelyn Farkas prior statements back into the story for additional framework and discussion.

.
Democrats are desperate to avoid reading the summary memo as they will no longer be able to obfuscate he content therein. Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes has used the memo to flip the group boxed in. To make the memo public Nunes will likely hold another vote in the Intelligence Committee, then pass the memo along to the White House for statutory release approval. The White House will approve of the release and then it becomes public.
The ‘kitchen cabinet’ plan for release timing is shaping up to hit right before President Trump’s State of The Union address.

Mick Mulvaney Begins Review of "Entire Operation" Behind CFPB…

Interim Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Mick Mulvaney, announces the entire operational architecture of the liberal protection racket is being reviewed.
As many reports have indicated, the CFPB was structured to be an unaccountable branch of the government dedicated to controlling the financial industry, and by extension the U.S. economy, by blackmailing companies to pay for protection against the targeting by their overarching punitive power.

If companies providing any financial services (ie. consumer loans, banking interests or consumer finance) wanted to operate in the U.S. they would be well advised (forced) to pay indulgences toward progressive politicians and organizations.  Failure to do so could mean they would be subject to CFPB fines, legal challenges and devastating court costs to defend their interests. This was the larger goal of the Elizabeth Warren enterprise.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Trump-appointed acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said Wednesday that he is launching a review of all the federal consumer watchdog agency’s policies and priorities.
