Today Senator Chuck Grassley has sent Attorney General Jeff Sessions an extensive 29-page criminal referral (full pdf below) requesting an investigation of sketchy Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick and her Creepy Porn Lawyer, Michael  Avenatti.

Chairman Grassley outlines three potential violations: (1) Providing False Statements; (2) Obstructing Congressional Investigations; and (3) Mueller and Rosenstein’s favorite DOJ charge: “Conspiracy”.

WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley today referred Julie Swetnick and her attorney Michael Avenatti to the Justice Department for criminal investigation relating toa potential conspiracy to provide materially false statements to Congress and obstruct a congressional committee investigation, three separate crimes, in the course of considering Justice Brett M. The most recent reviews of media presentations for this story (The Hill and CNN) reflect MSM disappointment that SCOTUS has ruled in favor of the administration.
The U.S. Commerce Department is adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census. An activist judge in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) -framing a challenge based on the question being discriminatory- ruled that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross must submit to a deposition to discover “the motives” of the decision.
An appellate circuit panel initially agreed with the lower court and ACLU lawyers. However, U.S. Solicitor General Noel Francisco asked the Supreme Court to stay the circuit court ruling.  SCOTUS agreed with the administration and blocked the ridiculous activist lawyers from questioning the cabinet; the supreme court does allow the plaintiffs to question the DOJ civil rights division lawyer.

(CNN) The Supreme Court blocked a deposition of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross on Monday in a case challenging the decision to reinstate a citizenship question on the 2020 census.

Republican Senator Susan Collins appears on Face The Nation with John Dickerson to participate in the game of political make-believe surrounding the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Dickerson pretends he believes Blasey-Ford (he doesn’t); Collins pretends she believes Blasey-Ford was just mistaken (she doesn’t).  Both participants in the discussion play their roles and pretend high-brow discussion as exhibited within the Mamet Principle.

Senator Lindsey Graham 2.0 appears on Fox News with swamp gatekeeper Chris Wallace to discuss the Justice Kavanaugh confirmation and the upcoming elections.  [*As with all things swampy, caution is advised until the 2.0 operating system is fully validated.]
One of the more interesting takeaways from this interview is a shift in perspective for Senator Graham 2.0 where he says he will now campaign against senate colleagues who joined in the smear campaign against the Supreme Court nominee.

By now many people have seen this video.  I reviewed today for the first time. The video is from a October 4th dual press conference with Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Dianne Feinstein; the day the FBI report on Brett Kavanaugh was delivered to the Senate.
Dianne Feinstein knows the smear campaign against Judge Kavanaugh was a political hit job.  As ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee she could not avoid knowledge; the coordination discussions would have surrounded her and her staff.
Feinstein knows she participated in one of the most vile political smear campaigns in history.  Senator Feinstein knows she participated in an attempt to destroy an honorable man and his family.  The weight of guilt is heavy; the shame is internalized.

During a private ceremony following the Senate confirmation vote, Judge Brett Kavanaugh took the constitutional oath of office with Chief Justice John Roberts presiding.  The judicial oath ceremony was conducted by retired Justice Kennedy.

WASHINGTON DC – Judge Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as the 114th Supreme Court justice late Saturday, just hours after the Senate voted to confirm him to the nation’s highest court after a rancorous confirmation battle.

Kavanaugh was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts in a private ceremony, accompanied by his wife and children. It means that now-Justice Kavanaugh will begin hearing cases before the court on Tuesday.

No surprise here.  With Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh having successfully defeated the fraudulent smear campaign mounted against him; the political operatives in control of Blasey-Ford announce they have no further plans to pursue.

Washington DC – With the Senate voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as an associate justice of the Supreme Court, Christine Blasey Ford has no further plans to pursue her sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh, according to her lawyers.
