I’ve begun using the term usurpation to describe this administration, and the co-dependents/ willfully blind who support it.  

The NSA intelligence data mining is clearly unconstitutional under the 4th amendment.  The IRS targeting based on political ideology is also illegal and unconstitutional.   The Dept of Justice manipulating warrants (lying to judges) to gather phone records on AP reporters and Fox’s James Rosen is a clear usurpation of the 1st amendment.

Now the latest usurpation can be seen in the Obama administration using an Executive Order to create de-facto amnesty (XO-Dream Act);  And then to make matters worse – they stop the criminal background checks and ID requirements under such a program.  So anyone can enter the U.S. claim to be whoever they want, and no criminal background check will be done.

And the Congresscritters are worried about Terrorists benefitting from the NSA leaker?  How about they apply the same consideration (ie worry) about open borders without checks for those who cross them and then apply for Dream Act protections? (more…)

Either they provided the information, OR, the administration is accepting the NSA tapping into the massive computer servers that drive the internet.

GUARDIAN UK – Two different versions of the PRISM scandal were emerging on Thursday with Silicon Valley executives denying all knowledge of the top secret program that gives the National Security Agency direct access to the internet giants’ servers.

The eavesdropping program is detailed in the form of PowerPoint slides in a leaked NSA document, seen and authenticated by the Guardian, which states that it is based on “legally-compelled collection” but operates with the “assistance of communications providers in the US.”

Each of the 41 slides in the document displays prominently the corporate logos of the tech companies claimed to be taking part in PRISM. (more…)

fyi, an insider detail – We can secondarily confirm the information provided within this Wall Street Journal report. Those of you who have been with the Treehouse community since the beginning may remember a conversation thread about the “new age” credit cards that allow capability of RFID transmission. [symbols: ((( )))  and Ξ ]  One of our close friends actually quit his job in disgust over the use of his computer program -a central component to the RFID system- being used to embed internally into credit cards with the expressed intent on tracking user id, location, history etc.  He knew the potential risk several years ago, and sent a warning – we shared – it appears this is now coming to light.

WASHINGTON (WSJ) —The National Security Agency’s monitoring of Americans includes customer records from the three major phone networks as well as emails and Web searches, and the agency also has cataloged credit-card transactions, said people familiar with the agency’s activities.

The disclosure this week of an order by a secret U.S. court for Verizon Communications Inc.’s phone records set off the latest public discussion of the program. But people familiar with the NSA’s operations said the initiative also encompasses phone-call data from AT&T Inc. and Sprint Nextel Corp., records from Internet-service providers and purchase information from credit-card providers.

WASHINGTON DC – The National Security Agency and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.

The highly classified program, code-named PRISM, has not been disclosed publicly before. Its establishment in 2007 and six years of exponential growth took place beneath the surface of a roiling debate over the boundaries of surveillance and privacy. Even late last year, when critics of the foreign intelligence statute argued for changes, the only members of Congress who know about PRISM were bound by oaths of office to hold their tongues.

This story deserves to be shared with everyone you know….

“Extortion 17” was the call sign for the Chinook helicopter shot down in Afghanistan on the night of August 6th, 2011.   Among the killed in the crash were 25 special operations forces, including 15 members of SEAL Team 6, five National Guard troops, and eight Afghan nationals.

Yesterday, the families of the military personnel  killed in that crash held a press conference to lay out the cover-up by Obama and the military ever since. (more…)

First things first.   This does not need to be rushed – this should not be a “pass it to see what’s in it” bill.   This needs to be clearly and methodically, even painstakingly, a deliberative process.

As I see Team Obama requesting the “rushing it to a vote” I become even more suspicious of it….

Report #1 – Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) told Boston’s conservative radio host Howie Carr on Wednesday that the political momentum is starting to turn against the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill.  (Link)

Report #2 – President Obama said there is one thing he absolutely won’t compromise on in immigration reform: a pathway to citizenship [ie. “Amnesty”]   But as for what he would be willing to give up, he won’t say.  (link)

Report #3 – Just in case anyone is concerned that senators aren’t reading the 844-page immigration reform bill from the Group of Eight closely before returning from recess next week, note that Sen. I’m putting together some more “in depth” information using prior and current research about Syria.   But I just want to throw out a note of caution on the Chemical Weapons issues.

Obama set the red line as WMD use.   I said at the time that was stupid and still believe it.

Forget the damned “red lines”.   Why?

We don’t know who would use the WMD.  Just because it’s used doesn’t mean Assad is using it.  Think about who benefits?

The Assad regime probably would never use chemical weapons period.   The guy is a facist marxist just like Quackdaffy – but he’s also a realist and more westernized than the media will openly tell you.

The “rebels” or resistance in Syria fighting Assad is not just some random collection of democracy loving freedom individualists.  That crew was kicked out about 20 months ago.  It is now 100% al-Qaeda radicals – Al-nursa front. (more…)

A fitting tribute today to memorialize the lost lives from the West Texas fertilizer plan explosion last week.   Thankfully President Obama attended the service and represented our nation in sending a nation’s prayers.

I’ll bust his chops when President Obama selfishly manuevers his activity based on ideological advancement;  But he should also be praised on this one for a fitting tribute to an American community in painful grief.   Well done Mr. President – and Thank You.

On Gun Control and The Will Of The Majority – The progressive left is once again selling the story of a dysfunctional congress, specifically the Senate, because they did not pass more gun control.  A Ridiculous argument.

I know it is difficult to argue logic over emotion, but anyone who has spent time understanding the construct of our Constitutional Republic will attest to the failure of ‘background checks’ actually being a mere outcome of a properly functioning legislative body.

Our founders did not endorse, nor did they advocate for, a democracy – this is Fabian socialist re-writing of history.    Read anything by James Madison, Thomas Jefferson or Benjamin Franklin to understand the intent of the constitution which binds the nation.

We were founded upon the principle of “individual liberty”, not a collective association.  A Democracy was considered only one step worse than a monarchy.   We were founded as a Constitutional Republic specifically and intentionally to restrict the influence of government in our lives.  (more…)
