Here’s the way I personally filter the level of perceived strategic risk by the administration. If Fran Townsend is talking about this on CNN – this is a moderate/medium risk. However, if CNN removes Townsend and replaces with cloaked White House operative, Susan Kelly, then the risk to the White House is High/Severe. Tune in to see which face CNN fronts.

CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack.
Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by armed militants last September 11 in eastern Libya.
Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret.
CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out. (more…)
Riddle me this – When was the last time any Presidential administration officially allowed or gave such advanced media notice (full week) of travel to a dangerous nation undergoing upheaval? Second, who would it benefit if something just happened to the rhino twins? Lastly, with the first two in mind who is more likely to be a risk to the delegation? Just sayin’…. eh, prolly nothing.
And what about ketchup boy. I thought he was bringing his mighty influence to the region with jobs for jihadists or something…
WASHINGTON — Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain have been asked by President Barack Obama to travel to Egypt next week to urge the military to move ahead on new elections, the senators said Tuesday.

Egypt has been roiled by deadly protests since President Mohammed Morsi was toppled in a military coup on July 3, developments that have threatened the $1.5 billion in annual U.S. military and economic aid to the Arab world’s most populous country. Responding to reporters’ questions Tuesday about an attempt to cut off the aid, Graham offered up word that Obama has sought the help of the two lawmakers. (more…)

HatTip WeaselZippers – WASHINGTON DC – In recent weeks, members of the House and Senate and their staffers have held two classified hearings on the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya; conducted more than 25 hours of formal, transcribed interviews with witnesses; and spoken informally with several dozen additional witnesses, including some who are being called “whistleblowers.”
Among those who have recently spoken to Congress is Marine Corps Col. George Bristol who was in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) chain of command on Sept. 11. Earlier this month, CBS News reported that the Pentagon declined Republican congressional requests to produce Bristol for interviews. At the time, the Pentagon said Bristol had retired and that they “cannot compel retired members to testify before Congress.”

The current U.S. Administration stands solidly behind the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamist President Morsi. However, the Egyptian people, the average citizen, want nothing to do with the freedom restricting brotherhood.
The liberal media in the U.S. will frame the current conditions as precursory to an outright civil war. Mainly to undermine the populous movement and to deflect attention of the average American away from the Obama administration, assisting them in hiding their previous vocal advocacy.
CAIRO – Egypt’s criminal investigation against the ousted president, announced Friday, is likely just the start of wider legal moves against Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood – ominous prospects for a country seething with violent divisions.
During Morsi’s three weeks in secret detention, military intelligence agents have extensively questioned him on the inner workings of his presidency and of the Brotherhood, seeking to prove he committed crimes including handing state secrets to the Islamist group, military officials told The Associated Press.
Military intelligence has had sole access to him and has questioned him at least once a day, sometimes for up to five hours, the officials said. At times they have presented him voice recordings of his conversations to question him on them, they said. (more…)
Apparently, Anthony Weiner was busy presenting himself , yet again, last summer to yet another Young Progressive recipient. Under the guise of “Carlos Danger”, the infamous penis was well received by a young lady operating as “Sydney Leathers“. The New York Times says they’ve seen enough. Gee, ya think….
Weiner's biggest challenge as mayor will be finding a location in NY more than 300 yards from a school.

New York Times – At some point, the full story of Anthony Weiner and his sexual relationships and texting habits will finally be told. In the meantime, the serially evasive Mr. Weiner should take his marital troubles and personal compulsions out of the public eye, away from cameras, off the Web and out of the race for mayor of New York City.
Mr. Weiner, who resigned from Congress two years ago after sending lewd messages and photos of his crotch to women he had not met, was forced to revisit the issue on Tuesday, and so were we all. A Web site called The Dirty had another woman’s story, another round of sex texts, and another picture of Mr. Weiner’s penis. The startling news was that this new episode apparently took place last summer, only a few months before Mr. Weiner was to begin another run at public office. The marital trauma that Mr. Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, had said was behind them was not as far behind as we thought. (more…)
The week before she had to give Benghazi testimony before congress she hits her head and has a concussion with a blood clot. Then last Thanksgiving when a fire broke out above Hillary’s office on the long weekend. One would think all of these mysterious occurances around corruptocrat Hillary Clinton would be drawing a little attention, no?
(PJ Media Notes)Fedensin’s allegations touch former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton more directly than anyone else currently in the Obama administration. Clinton was SecState when the eight investigations that Fedensin alleges were scuttled by senior department members, were scuttled. The scandals even touch Clinton’s own security detail as well as her long-time fixer, Cheryl Mills.TEXAS – The offices of a Dallas law firm representing a high-profile State Department whistleblower were broken into last weekend. Burglars stole three computers and broke into the firm’s file cabinets. But silver bars, video equipment and other valuables were left untouched, according to local Fox affiliate KDFW, which aired security camera footage of the suspected burglars entering and leaving the offices around the time of the incident.
The firm Schulman & Mathias represents Aurelia Fedenisn, a former investigator at the State Department’s Office of the Inspector General. In recent weeks, she raised a slew of explosive allegations against the department and its contractors ranging from illicit drug use, soliciting sexual favors from minors and prostitutes and sexual harassment. Did Teresa Heinz Kerry just get the Ron Brown treatment? Hmmm?
Obviously I’ve been a little distracted, but this does not pass the immediate sniff test. President Obama, Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder would not go after this guy unless they wanted him disposed. That always raises my spidey sense alert. This administration sticks with people who have engaged in SERIOUS criminal conduct…. yet they are super out-in-front of getting James Cartwright capped at the knees….. Hmmm
WASHINGTON DC – Legal sources tell NBC News that the former second ranking officer in the U.S. military is now the target of a Justice Department investigation into a politically sensitive leak of classified information about a covert U.S. cyber attack on Iran’s nuclear program.

According to legal sources, Retired Marine Gen. James “Hoss” Cartwright, the former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has received a target letter informing him that he’s under investigation for allegedly leaking information about a massive attack using a computer virus named Stuxnet on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Gen. Cartwright, 63, becomes the latest individual targeted over alleged leaks by the Obama administration, which has already prosecuted or charged eight individuals under the Espionage Act. (more…)

A U.S. military proposal for arming Syrian rebels also calls for a limited no-fly zone inside Syria that would be enforced from Jordanian territory to protect Syrian refugees and rebels who would train there, according to U.S. officials. (link)
