Remember this ?  (February 2013) Conservative activist and founder of True the Vote, Catherine Engelbrecht, filed an ethics complaint against far left Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD).    Ms. Engelbrecht accused Cummings of harassment and intimidation.

Democrat House Committee Member Elijah Cummings denied he, nor his staff, ever had contact with leadership in the IRS about targeting or getting documents for Ms. Engelbrecht’s group, “True The Vote”.

However, today (Via WFB)  The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) sent tax documents on a targeted conservative group to Democratic staff on the House Oversight Committee, newly released emails show, despite previous denials by ranking Oversight Democrat Elijah Cummings (D., Md.) that such contact had occurred. Within a Politico article which outlines the hiatus of the CNN Show “CrossFire” you find the following detail:

Crossfire brought the 6:30 p.m. ratings down 25 percent in total viewers and 23 percent in the 25-to-54 demo when compared to the nine months leading up to its launch. (link)

This is exactly as we predicted eight months ago.

Eric Holder “Goes There” in a big way!

HOLDER: “I have been proud to stand along side of you in supporting efforts to advance the cause of justice that has always been at the center of this , this administrations work I am pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and lasting reforms, even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted ugly adversity. And if you don’t believe that, you look at the way …forget about me… forget about me , you look at the way the Attorney General of the Untied States was treated yesterday by a House committee. Had nothing to do with me what Attorney General has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What President has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment.”

Washington, DC – Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) announced that the Committee, acting under its authority granted in Sec. 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code, voted out a criminal referral letter to Department of Justice (DOJ) Attorney General Eric Holder regarding actions taken by IRS employee Lois Lerner. Chairman Camp, in sending the letter on behalf of the Committee, urged Holder to take a serious review of the evidence uncovered through the Committee’s investigation to determine whether Lerner violated criminal statutes.
The House Committee Investigation uncovered three specific acts undertaken by Lerner that may have violated one or more criminal statutes documented in the letter:

• Lerner used her position to improperly influence agency action against only conservative organizations, denying these groups due process and equal protection rights under the law. She showed extreme bias and prejudice towards conservative groups. The letter lays out evidence on how Lerner targeted conservative organization Crossroads GPS as well as other right-leaning groups, while turning a blind eye to similarly-organized liberal groups, like Priorities USA.

•Lerner impeded official investigations by providing misleading statements in response to questions from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).

•Lerner risked exposing, and may actually have disclosed, confidential taxpayer information, in apparent violation of Internal Revenue Code section 6103 by using her personal email to conduct official business.

If convicted of these crimes, Lerner could face up to 11 years in prison.

Congress votes to send details of the corruption and scandal to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.   President Obama previously pledged to “hold anyone accountable” for their participation in the political targeting of people by the IRS.    However, President Obama has recently stated “there was not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS”.   Todays recommendation comes as information surfaces that Lerner was trying to get a position in OFA…..  

(WASHINGTON DC)  The House Ways and Means Committee has voted to 23-14 along party lines to refer former head of tax exempt groups at the IRS Lois Lerner to the Justice Department for prosecution. Although the details about exactly what charges will be have not yet been released, lawmakers are arguing Lerner has not been truthful with Congress or the IRS inspector general and leaked confidential tax information.
Last time a referral like this happened, it was to Major League Baseball player Roger Clemens, who was pursued by the Department of Justice for lying to Congress but was exonerated in court. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Democrats’ messaging and political strategy guru, declared Tuesday that Democrats had turned the corner on the Affordable Care Act.

“This week, the talk is pay equity, not ACA,” he said, referring to the Affordable Care Act. “We’re going to have more and more weeks like that because we’re talking about thing that people really care about.”

The Senate will vote Wednesday on the Paycheck Fairness Act, which prohibits employers from retaliating against employees who make inquiries about colleagues’ pay.  (link)

SEARCH crews have relocated signals, hoped to be from MH370’s black box, another two times.

AUSTRALIA – Search coordinator and retired Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston has told reporters in Perth the discovery by Australian ship Ocean is “further encouraging”.

“The detection yesterday afternoon was held for approximately five minutes and 32 seconds,” he said.  “The detection late last night was held for approximately 7 minutes.”
It takes the number of transmissions detected by Ocean Shield to four.
“Yesterday’s signals will assist in better defining a reduced and much more manageable search area on the ocean floor,” the coordinator added. (more…)

Every once in a while there is an ongoing story that goes from bad to worse.   However, even more rare is a story that is so bad I actually don’t even want to update on it.   Louisville Kentucky is one such rare example.

It started on March 22nd when the police lost control of the city to a roaming band of 200+ thugs who took siege of the city.    At least 17 violent attacks were recorded overnight as rampaging mobs robbed stores, destroyed property, and even dragged people from their vehicles to attack and brutalize them.

The following day the Mayor and Police Department claimed they had lost control of the city and warned citizens that law enforcement could not protect them or handle the crisis as it continued to unfold.    Only two arrests were ever made.
Two distinct aspects quickly surfaced.  1.)  By their own admission the police could not stop the violence, and 2.) The LEO community stated the politically correct demands of the local government was directly the cause of their inability.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) homicide detectives have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of Nathan Trapuzzano. They say that robbery was the motive.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced charges against 16-year-old Simeon Adams on Tuesday. Adams is charged with Murder, Attempt Robbery (A Felony), and Carrying a Handgun without a License (A Misdemeanor). (more…)

Congratulations are in order. […]  The city of over 7,000 is now the owner of  a “49,000 pound, 10-foot-tall, six-wheel-drive” Crisis Response Unit.
