The games continue.
Last month Judge Emmet Sullivan of the U.S. District Court in Washington gave the Internal Revenue Service exactly a month -until Aug. 10- to file a report, which he demanded as part of a lawsuit from a conservative watchdog, Judicial Watch, against the agency.
Judge Sullivan said the inspector general’s investigation shouldn’t stop the IRS from detailing under oath what happened to Lerner’s emails.   The contention, at the heart of the matter, is the missing “emails” that Lerner sent and/or received during the time conservative groups were being targeted by the IRS.
The goal of the Judge was to provide relief for Judicial Watch in the form of pinning down the IRS to explain how they lost, and were unable to recover, over a year of internal emails from Ms. Lerner.   Again, the specific goal was forcing the IRS to outline the missing “emails”.

Put this into the memory file that holds evidence of why the White House was so totally disconnected when they decided to arm Libyan and Syrian al-Qaeda rebels in 2011.
Here’s John Brennan in June of 2011 about three months after the White House began arming the Libyan “rebels”:

The leftist media are a parody unto themselves when it comes to exploiting any opportunity for racial viewership.   Ronan Farrow is the modern cultural icon for a couldn’t-be-more-white pundit to espouse his street thug credibility.  He knows him some racism.

Liberalism is fundamentally comical when witnessed.  These Farrow-types are the same people who railed against a cheerleader/hunter pictured with a dead lion in Africa – Yet oddly lose their voice when confronted with seven-year-old ISIL jihadist pictured proudly holding a severed human head.

During a Monday afternoon segment discussing the police shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, guest Jonathan Capehart suggested that black men have to go extra lengths to ensure their safety in public.

“Don’t run in public,” he said. “Don’t run with anything in your hands. Keep a discreet distance away from white women, lest you get accused of any number of things.” His larger point being that a black male looking and talking a certain way in public could lead to unwanted assumptions or trouble, more so than any other race. New York – Hillary and Bill Clinton will be the toast of the Hamptons this weekend as they move into their $100,000 Amagansett August rental.
Saturday, the couple, along with daughter Chelsea, will be fêted at the Water Mill home of former Wall Street exec Joan Hornig and her investment banker husband George.

Tickets range from $5,000 to $50,000 for a couple who would receive co-chair status.
Proceeds will go to the Clinton Foundation.
The former first couple has locked up a property at 44 Broadview Road for three weeks this month.  But it doesn’t appear to be much of a relaxing stay — Hillary is also planning to promote her book “Hard Choices” with an Aug. 16 signing at BookHampton in East Hampton.  (read more)

[Warning Graphic Imagery] If you ever wondered whether or not applied Liberalism can factually disconnect brain synapses these two recent examples should answer the question.

The United States has factually and officially considered Hamas a terrorist organization since 1997.  In part because the foundational charter of Hamas calls for all Jews to be killed and all Muslims are responsible to wage jihad against Israel.
But the top Democrat, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, takes to the airwaves and appears on CNN last week to proclaim:

….” […] we have to confer with the Qataris, who have told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization.”…

One would think the former Speaker, and formerly 2nd in the succession chain to become President in an emergency, would know better.   One would think.
However, not to be outdone this week we find Massachusetts Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren, a potential presidential candidate in 2016, discussing the situation in Iraq and the extreme terror group ISIL.  Warren states: (more…)

President Obama gave Thomas Friedman an hour long interview before heading off on vacation to Martha’s Vineyard.    Within the interview the failure of a cohesive Obama foreign policy shines through despite the attempted cover from liberal reporters.
There’s actually two parts to this interview – the interview as reported – and the opinion piece from Friedman about the interview itself.
Within the Times Article you find the footprints of a dejected President staring boldly into the face of his own failure and shortcomings:

[…]  “We’re not going to let them create some caliphate through Syria and Iraq,” the president said in an hourlong interview with Thomas L. Friedman, a New York Times columnist, as American planes and drones began dropping bombs in Iraq. “But we can only do that if we know that we have got partners on the ground who are capable of filling the void.”

[…]  Mr. Obama offered his justifications for his latest use of military force in Iraq while lamenting the outcome of a similar decision he made to intervene militarily in Libya in 2011. He defended the desire to help oust the Libyan dictator, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, with American air power, but he acknowledged that he had “underestimated” the chaos that would follow after American forces left.

“So that’s a lesson that I now apply every time I ask the question, ‘Should we intervene militarily?’ ” Mr. Obama said. “Do we have an answer the day after?”

Oh that’s nice, as long as he readily admits his failure in Libya now.   Readers will note he’s essentially reaffirming the Bush policy in Iraq by saying the failure in Libya was a failure to stick around and nation build.

This, despite the fact Obama himself worsened the collapse in Iraq by pulling U.S. forces out ahead of structural governance in place which would insure their own security.

So failing to have a plan to stick around in Libya was a mistake, but pulling out from a plan to stick around in Iraq was, well, what exactly ? (more…)
