(Via Breitbart) Many are asking questions about the silence from civil right “leaders” such as Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton about the recent beating of a white student by three black classmates on a Florida school bus, given their role in turning the Trayvon Martin case into a national civil rights controversy. I caught up with Rev. Jackson at Chicago’s annual Bud Billiken Back-to-School Parade on Saturday.
Breitbart News: Rev. Jackson, can you comment on the recent beating that happened between three black kids that beat up the kid on a school bus? Does black leadership have a responsibility to say something about that kind of violence? (more…)
A ridiculous 10′ mural displayed recently in the Florida capitol depicting Martin Luther King Jr. and Trayvon Martin, along with what appears to be, or at least is supposed to depict, George Zimmerman shooting a gun. (story here)
The depiction of Trayvon along with Martin Luther King Jr. is especially disgusting and we’ll let Bill Whittle eloquently outline that aspect once again: (more…)
Perhaps people already knew this and I’m the first to catch on to the obvious.
When Rene Stutzman, a reporter for The Orlando Sentinel, informed me about the editorial board deciding “what” content would be “permitted to be discussed”, within the Trayvon Martin reporting of her newspaper, I had no idea the Senior Vice-President / Director of Content was African American.
Nor did I know the editor she was talking about, Mark Russell, was also African American.
It just never crossed my mind to ask.
Now I see two articles (here and here), discussing who was actually behind those decisions she was speaking toward, it all begins to make sense.
The editor in charge of the Sentinel was Mark Russell. Obviously, based on the extreme position taken by the editor and shared with me via Stutzman, the position was such that no aspect of Trayvon Martin’s background would be covered by the paper. It was clearly a racial position.
A position amplified by the fact the Director of Content, Avido Khahaifa, would also be the key decision maker, and who was/is also demanding his reporters filter the news on the basis of race first.
Now it all makes sense. (more…)
First the story about the Sheriff’s Association – The Grady Judd part follows…. (Via GWP) The Florida Sheriff’s Association agreed earlier this week to support the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law. The Ledger reported: Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, the new president of the association, announced Friday that members agreed earlier this week without opposition to support the law “as currently written.” “Our current judicial system is comprised of multiple checks and balances to ensure fair and equitable application of all laws, including ‘stand your ground,’” Judd said in a prepared statement. To say this video is alarming or chilling is a profound understatement. At 1:30am a family was awakened by police pounding on their front door. The police were told by the homeowner they did not have permission to enter, the police did not have a search warrant. The police would not state the reason they were there. I will leave the rest to the published media reports – but you must watch the video.
When Sargent Magee was asked by a family friend why this happened he responded “we did this because they made a scene filming us.” (link)
From Huffington Post – A chilling video that shows police officers storming a home in Georgia and threatening to stun-gun, beat, and even “cane” the residents is gaining attention for its stark portrayal of what its creators say is police brutality.
According to Natania Griffin, several DeKalb County police officers came to arrest her on July 26 at 1:30 a.m., over a $1,000 civil fine that was 15 days late. She described the ensuing raid on her home as “sheer terror.”
A 19-minute cell phone video taken by Griffin’s 23-year-old son, Donovan Hall, during the chaos first shows police officers banging on the family’s front door, while screaming the address of a different house. (more…)
I post this with trepidation – knowing that it will spark yet another round of comments about racism at the Tree. I say, “The Truth Will Set You Free”, and ask the question, as does the author of this Politico piece, Why Can’t We Talk About IQ? (more…)
The trial of Fort Hood Shooter, Nidal Hasan, continues. The entire complex where the trial is taking place is like a military war camp outpost in Eastern Afghanistan.
The building is surrounded with Hesco Barriers and Metalith perimeter blast protection containers. Hundreds of them.
All of this for the consideration of “workplace violence“?
Why are they so worried about a terrorist attack if the trial is not of a “terrorist”?
But what’s worse is this latest revelation shared by Dana Losech and posted on RedState: (more…)
I wonder if the other people who are sharing the cover of Ebony Magazine know that Jahvaris Fulton is the son of Sybrina Fulton, and not her ex husband Tracy “Fruit” Martin, who has fathered 4 or 5 other kids by other women; some while married to the prior child’s mothers.
Then again, now that I think about it, the “We are Trayvon” catch phrase probably does attach aptly to most of the group claiming such a descriptive as their commonality.
In order to be “like Trayvon” a person would have to be:
Violent (worship thug and street gang culture)
Kicked out of school (after missing 53 days with 2 prior suspensions)
Kicked out of their home (after threatening to kill mom)
Have no stable family (live with aunts, uncles, step moms etc)
A known drug user (Marijuana, DXM, and Sizzurp/Lean)
A known burglar (Prior diverted criminal arrests)
A Criminally diverted failed student (Miami-Dade School Police)
An illegal gun owner (With Dad showing best way to get)
So when you see magazine covers saying “We Are Trayvon” the best approach is probably to say: Yep,…. and, quite frankly, that might just be the problem. EBONY – It’s hard to believe that it was only 18 months ago that we lost Trayvon Martin. In the explosive time since that fateful night, February 26, 2012, generations of Black America have come to terms with the fact that we live in a country that often eats its young—our young. (more…)
WASHINGTON DC – Newly uncovered Democratic anti-NRA talking points urge anti-gun advocates and politicians to hype high-profile gun incidents like the Florida slaying of Trayvon Martin to win support for new gun control laws.
In talking points likely followed by top Democratic leaders including President Obama after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in December, the anti-gun “guide” urged gun foes to speak out when a shooting “creates a unique climate” to shout down the National Rifle Association. (more…)
