WACO, Texas — At least some of the bikers involved in a gang fight Sunday that left nine people dead and 18 injured were shot by police, authorities said.
The violence erupted shortly after noon at a busy Waco shopping center along Interstate 35 that draws a large lunchtime crowd. Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said eight people died at the scene of the shooting at Twin Peaks restaurant and another person died at a hospital.
Preliminary findings indicate a dispute broke out in a bathroom and then spilled into the restaurant where it escalated to include knives and firearms, he said. There were 150 to 200 gang members inside the restaurant at the time. (more…)

CHICAGO – An 81-year-old great-grandmother was shot Friday night just minutes after viewing the body of her recently deceased daughter at a South Side funeral home, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.
Iola Burress survived being shot four times but was due to undergo surgery Saturday, relatives said. Her 34-year-old grandson, Sylvester Burress, was also shot in the drive-by shooting in Auburn-Gresham. (more…)
South Carolina – The State Law Enforcement Division released incident reports and a sketch of a person of interest in Thursday night’s shooting of Berkeley County deputy Will Rogers at a Kangaroo Express in Monks Corner.
An eye witness to the shooting told investigators that a black male wearing a ski mask walked out of the woods straight to the front of the deputy’s Tahoe SUV and fired three shots with a silver revolver. When the suspect walked toward another SUV in the parking lot with his gun aimed at the driver, the witness turned and fled.
The driver of the second SUV told investigators the suspect ordered him out of his vehicle and he complied. The suspect then drove away in the2003 Hyundai Sante Fe, which was found later. (more…)

The police were on scene in anticipation of several biker gangs converging on a bar. As anticipated a fight broke out, escalated, and ended in a full shootout between rival gangs with police returning fire amid the chaos. Raw aftermath video shows police standing between two rival gangs and trying to investigate the shootings.
Update 10:00pm CBS: The brawl began in the bathroom with most likely a push, shove, or somebody looking at somebody wrong. That quickly escalated into a fistfight, which turned into a knife fight, which immediately turned into a gun fight. Waco police tell CBS the fight poured from the bathroom into the parking lot. Inside building is a scene of extreme bloodbath of carnage, bodies and horrible violence.

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) – A 21-year-old woman says she was attacked in her Overland Park home and her security system caught it on camera.
In the video captured by O’Connor’s hidden camera, one can see her struggling to breathe in a chokehold.
“As soon as he put his arm around my neck, I was like, ‘oh [expletive], this is really happening. This is really going on,'” she said.
The attack happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near West 106th Street. O’Connor said she told a friend that she was trying to get rid of her ex-boyfriend’s carpentry tools. (more…)
When a corrections system focuses entirely on equality of outcome; and when the administrators of the policy are wilfully blind (in that they never addresses the source behavior); and when the non-compliant variables within the system refuse to modify behavior – the only administrative option left is to remove the consequence. FYI the racial composition of Oakland’s public school system is about 32 percent black, a little under 40 percent Hispanic, about 15 percent Asian and about 12 percent white, according to Oaklandreads.org (Via Truth Revolt) Board members of California’s Oakland Unified School District unanimously voted on Wednesday to cease suspending students for what they call “willful defiance.” Those behaviors can include swearing/yelling at teachers, refusing direct orders, texting, and storming out of class, to name a few.
The reason?
Concern that too many black students are being suspended for willful defiance.
One sophomore student, Dan’enicole Williams, told the San Francisco Gate, “They never take time out, if someone is sleeping in class, to ask what’s wrong. They may be acting that way because they didn’t eat the night before.” (more…)

LAKE MARY, Fla. — A judge set a $35,000 bond for the man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman Saturday morning.
Matthew Apperson was ordered to turn in any guns to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours od his release and to have no contact with Zimmerman.
“I don’t care whether you’ve been shopping at Publix for two hours and have a full cart of groceries or whatever. you see Mr. Zimmerman walking through that door, you’re the one that has to leave,” the judge said.
Apperson’s attorney wouldn’t comment on the judge’s order. (more…)

Immediately after her presser Marilyn Mosby appeared on CNN, ABC, NBC and MSNBC national networks. Mosby later appeared with the musician Prince, on stage with the family of Freddie Gray, at a Justice for Freddie Gray benefit concert. However, soon after announcing her charges, the facts behind the case began to surface and the case began falling apart. Now, with the very real possibility of a nation awakening to the political and activist motives, she is asking the court to impose a gag order – so she can hide the fraud and delay public knowledge. BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore prosecutors are seeking a gag order as they pursue a criminal case against six city officers in the case of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old man who died a week after suffering a spinal injury while in police custody.
A court document that references the gag order, obtained by The Associated Press, is dated Wednesday. Assistant State’s Attorney Antonio Gioia wrote that the gag order motion was mailed to defense attorneys.
Rochelle Ritchie, a spokeswoman for State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, confirmed Friday the office is seeking a gag order. She declined to provide further details. (more…)
