Senator Ron Johnson appears on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the upcoming senate pantomime under the auspices of a review of the events around the Capitol Hill breech and security threat.  Johnson is useless.

Next week the senate is expected to hold hearings about the January 6th DC protests that ended with a breach of the Capitol Hill building and chambers of congress.  Democrats want to keep using the 1/6/21 protest as an excuse to justify their newly installed fencing, barbed-wire and security perimeter which includes U.S. military troops.

In the bigger picture the hearings serve to deflect attention away from the fraud in mail-in ballots during the 2020 election by focusing attention away from the issue.  The democrats are attempting to label those who would question the election results as “insurrectionists”.

The hearing schedule around the 1/06/21 protests is an orchestrated effort at narrative engineering to keep attention away from the illegitimacy of a Biden administration.  Meanwhile the quisling GOPe politicians cower in their offices, provide no push-back and worry they will be labeled as extremists by the leftist-media and democrat politicians.

For those who might argue that there more of us, or at least as many of us, who believe in individual liberty and free market capitalism than there are opponents to same, I would suggest that you should not confuse a simple head count with total political atomic mass. The positions within society that our opponents hold and the institutions and machinery they control gives them leverage beyond simple membership numbers.

As to our being cast in the role of dissidents, we have no choice. How we conduct ourselves in that role will be the difference between having a chance over the long term to ultimately prevail or having to spend a century or more under the totalitarian’s thumb. We need to understand the role we are in, the most effective course of action we can take, and above all, we must understand and accept our limitations. An interesting article within Reuters points out how the Democrats in congress are working with the White House to craft legislation to make “social media companies accountable for the spread of disinformation.”  Or put another way…. The Democrats are attempting to eliminate any ability of those who disagree with them; or worse yet, would outline their corrupt endeavors.

Ultimately this level of control is a reaction to fear.  So the logical question is: what exactly are they fearful of?  Perhaps the answer is in alignment with the reason Democrats have surrounded the capital with military guards, fence and barbed-wire.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Congressional Democrats have begun discussions with the White House on ways to crack down on Big Tech including making social media companies accountable for the spread of disinformation on matters such as the U.S. Capitol riot and addressing the abuse of market power to harm corporate rivals.

The conversations, described by a lawmaker and congressional aides, have included the contentious topic of what to do with a measure called Section 230, part of a 1996 law called the Communications Decency Act, that shields social media platforms from lawsuits over much of the content posted by users.  (read more)

Many more people are gathering on the Mexican side, setting up a test of America’s ability and willingness to admit migrants during a pandemic.

On Thursday in Mexicali, across from Calexico, Calif., migrants could be seen trying to scale a border fence. A migrant camp in Matamoros, Mexico, just across a bridge from Texas, has grown to 1,000 people over the past few weeks.

Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg (aka Alfred E Newman), made a rather stunning statement during an Axios interview today.

When discussing domestic travel and transportation as it related to COVID-19, the transportation secretary said: “there is an active conversation within the CDC now” about requiring COVID tests prior to air travel inside the United States.

This ridiculous position was unfortunately one of the issues CTH predicted might happen.

COVID is not a virus inasmuch as it is an opportunity to achieve social-change goals advocated by the far-left.  Remember, one key element within the Green New Deal was to ban airplanes altogether.

The kindergarten class of tree-shouting, algae-cake-eating, everything must be sustainable and stupid, ie. leftist moonbats, are the ones offering actual policy suggestions.

CTH Admin Stella reminded me of an article written in May of 2013 when CTH was urgently, desperately, trying to awaken more people to see the natural conclusion to the events unfolding.  Events we were directly challenging.

At the time George Zimmerman was under attack; then came Ferguson (Wilson -vs- Mike Brown); then Baltimore (Freddie Gray -vs- Baltimore Six); but the natural alignment… the purpose of the events… was a leftist probe into weaponized narrative engineering in order to advance completely false and fabricated stories.  The U.S. media were testing whether they could control the outlook of Americans.

The shift in attack direction from media at the time was alarming. No longer was the media trying to excuse the transparently guilty of accountability; starting in 2012 what the new-era attack angle started to do was falsely accuse the transparently innocent.

Read that again, because it was a profound difference; and inflection point.

Leftists in politics and media were probing their ability to engineer entirely false positions and assertions of facts. This was new because they were now aligning to target the innocent. In 2013 CTH was trying to warn; to tell the story of where this was going to end up.  The clarion call has a similar resonance today, albeit with an increased urgency.

Via Axios – Board leadership at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is close to naming Thomas Donohue’s successor, and is expected to appoint Suzanne Clark as its next leader, people familiar with the matter tell Axios.

Why it matters: As CEO, Donohue, 83, built the chamber into a political powerhouse that supports pro-business policies, contributes huge sums largely to Republicans and promises to give its international and domestic members a voice in Washington.
