Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) one of the Decepticons who voted for Harry Reid’s “cloture” to allow funding of Obamacare, is set to introduce a bill – Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin will propose a new law next week called: “If You Like Your Health Plan, You Can Keep It Act.”

  “One of the most important promises made by President Obama and Democrat congressional leadership to promote the Affordable Care Act was that Americans who were satisfied with their health plans could keep them. That promise has been broken. More than a million Americans have been notified that the plans they like with the coverage they have chosen have been canceled. CBS’s front man, Scott Pelley, was visibly distraught and filled with tremendous anxiety as he seemed forced to report on the reality – Millions of Americans are losing their healthcare insurance coverage.

Indeed, it  well appears the media are being dragged to report on the reality lest they see themselves completely disconnected, and wallow amid embarrassment.
All of this comes amid a new Weekly Standard report  and Forbes report which outline the sheer magnitude of the cancellation notices now reaching homes coast to coast.

The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Because the Obama administration’s regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent about 85% of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal.

The rules are very complex. For example, if you had an individual plan in March of 2010 when the law was passed and you only increased the deductible from $1,000 to $1,500 in the years since, your plan has lost its grandfather status and it will no longer be available to you when it would have renewed in 2014.

These 16 million people are now receiving letters from their carriers saying they are losing their current coverage and must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law’s benefit mandates––the vast majority by January 1. Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases.  (link)

I’ve been searching and waiting all day for CNN to post video and transcript of this exchange between Erin Burnett and Congressman Henry Waxman from last night 10/23/13.

Why?

Mrs. Sebelius certainly is not doing herself any favors with sound bites like this.  In the video press conference she is questioned about her feelings stemming from people calling for her resignation.   She claims she doesn’t work for *those people*, she works only at the whim and request of the President – not you.

pub′lic serv′ant n. – a person holding a government office or job by election or appointment.

Typical detached response similar to that which you find in broad based government systems (including teachers).   They tend to forget they are public servants’ hired by the taxpayer’s productivity outcome –  to do a job FOR and on BEHALF OF the tax payer.

There is an often spoken phrase in the search for truthful information which aligns with Occam’s razor analysis of events:

…”The absence of something, is not, by itself, proof or confirmation of the existence of another thing”…

This general rule is most often correct.   However, when it comes to outlining the existence of biased intention – absence of parts of a story often does showcase the bias behind the narrative.
By now almost everyone is familiar with the incredible lengths the media has gone to just to find people who have enrolled in Obamacare.   CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, The Orlando Sentinel and many other media publications have publically requested for people to contact them with their Obamacare sign-up success stories.
The Miami Herald, New York Times and Huffington post found no-one despite repeated requests for conformational contact.  Likewise ABC and NBC, also came up goose eggs.   The Orlando Sentinel did find two, however both were DNC operatives.  Likewise a few others located all seem to be attached to Democrat fundraising operations, or groups affiliated with DNC operations – perhaps a dozen in total broadcast. NORTH DAKOTA – In a bombshell revelation, a consumer sales manager for North Dakota’s largest health insurer said Monday that the Obama Administration asked Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota to hide how many people registered for health insurance through an online exchange that just went up.
James Nichol of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota told a forum in Fargo that the Obama Administration had made the request. The forum was designed for people who wanted to obtain coverage through the online exchange. (more…)

Why is Obamacare considered a ‘war-on-families’?  Quite simply because in the vast majority of U.S. households women are the key decision makers regarding their family healthcare plans.    Subsequently anything that impedes desire, deconstructs ability, or reduces freedom for a woman to care for her family, is viewed appropriately as ‘in opposition to’ a families’ best interest.
The Matt Walsh Blog sent a call out to the blogosphere (email addy:  [email protected])  requesting people to send in real-life examples of how Obamacare is impacting people.   Notably, almost every response is from women who are awakening to the new Obamacare realities.  What follows are a few examples:

I’m a 12-hr night shift nurse in a hospital (the irony). I work part time so that my husband and I can trade off caring for our one-year-old (he’s a firefighter who works 24 hrs on- 48 off on a rotation).

My manager called me and stated I would have to, because of Obamacare- related insurance cost restraints , etc (her words), either go up on the number of hours I work each week or become a per diem employee. Did I mention I’m 6 months pregnant? So, I had to decide whether to go up to working more hours than our family can handle or go “per diem” in which case I’d immediately lose all the paid sick leave I’ve been earning, hoping to use for maternity leave, as well as lose a short term disability policy I’ve been paying for which would also help with maternity leave. Guess which we chose? How on earth do you plan for the future with the future shape-shifting constantly on the whims of egomaniacal and out-of-touch politicians? Thank goodness for a supportive and geographically close extended family.
