Ironically The Daily Beast, a considerably progressive outlet, has done some substantive research on the entire Libyan Folly. Their recent article runs directly to the issue of “what difference it makes”.

(Via Daily Beast) Leaders from at least three of al Qaeda’s most virulent affiliates are now in Libya. What are they planning there?

In the nearly 20 months since the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks, al Qaeda operatives and allied terrorists have flocked to Libya, making the fragile North African country a hub for those seeking to wage jihad from north Africa, current and former U.S. counterterrorism officials tell The Daily Beast.

Not only does al Qaeda host Ansar al-Sharia, one of the militias responsible for the Benghazi attacks that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. But U.S. intelligence now assesses that leaders from at least three regional al Qaeda affiliates—al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and members of the organization of Al-Mulathameen Brigade loyal to Algerian terrorist, Mokhtar BelMokhtar—have all established havens in the lawless regions of Libya outside the control of the central government. The United States of America was constructed intentionally as a constitutional republic. It is expressly outlined in our constitution: Article 4, section 4

Section 4 – Republican form of government guaranteed. Each State to be protected. The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union, a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened), against domestic violence. — United States Constitution Article 4, Section 4

This has always been a thorn in the craw of those who wish to fundamentally change the construct of our national association. As the Independent Sentinel notes President Obama refuses to accept this construct and instead desires the more Fabian assembly “A Constitutional Democracy”.

On September 11th 2012 radical Islamists through the Muslim Brotherhood had gained power in the Morsi administration.   As a consequence they scaled the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo Egypt and hoisted the al-Qaeda flag during an organized protest by Brotherhood leader Mohammed Al Zawahiri.  They wanted the U.S. to release the Blind Sheik, an Egyptian terrorist.

But Hillary Blamed a U-Tube Video.

After you read this article, and the email, you begin to understand why the President of Libya was gobsmacked when Susan Rice attributed the impetus of the Benghazi attack to a U-Tube video. The State Department had just told his Ambassador, Aujali, it was a planned and coordinated terror attack by al-Qaeda elements – then the U.S. UN Ambassador goes on TV with him and begins blaming a U-Tube video.

Sharyl Attkisson – A newly-released government email indicates that within hours of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi, Libya; the State Department had already concluded with certainty that the Islamic militia terrorist group Ansar al Sharia was to blame.

The private, internal communication directly contradicts the message that President Obama,Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice and White House press secretary Jay Carney repeated publicly over the course of the next several weeks. They often maintained that an anti-Islamic YouTube video inspired a spontaneous demonstration that escalated into violence.

The email is entitled “Libya update from Beth Jones. ” Jones was then-Assistant Secretary of State to Hillary Clinton. According to the email, Jones spoke to Libya’s Ambassador at 9:45am on Sept. 12, 2012 following the attacks. (more…)

A new Democrat proposal would empower the feds to scour the Internet, TV and more for so-called hate speech.

Democratic Sen. Ed Markey is pushing a bill to have a federal agency monitor anything that it suspects may encourage hate crimes. He wants the agency to work in connection with the Department of Justice and U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, then file a report to Congress on what’s hateful and could lead to hate crimes.

So, who gets to decide what’s hateful and what will they then do about it?

WASHINGTON – President Obama had plenty of heartfelt words as he spoke at the Oso firehouse after touring the mudslide debris field. But his remarks are being overshadowed because he mispronounced Oso several times.
He got it right the first time he referenced the town devastated by last month’s slide as he recognized family members of the victims, first responders and officials, saying he came to let the community know the entire country is thinking of them.
But moments later came his big gaffe.
“Because while very few Americans have ever heard of Osso [sic] before the disaster struck, we’ve all been inspired by the incredible way that the community has come together.” (more…)
