I’m looking for more details….

bloodborne-pathogensAnd So It Begins….. There are two major international aviation hubs in London England;  Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport  (similar to JFK and LaGuardia).
A 72-year-old woman stricken with Ebola virus collapses AFTER arrival in London and dies in airport.

If all passengers exiting Sierra Leone are screened as claimed, how did this woman board a plane with 128 passengers ?

LONDON –    Airport staff tonight told of their fears of an Ebola outbreak after a passenger from Sierra Leone collapsed and died as she got off a plane at Gatwick.
Workers said they were terrified the virus could spread globally through the busy international hub from the West African country which is in the grip of the deadly epidemic.

"Worse than under Gaddaffi" – Libya Laments As Civil War Intensifies….

Just a little odd thing to point out when reading current Libya media stories.   You’ll note the media in the Middle East, Libya itself, and the entire region uses the words “civil war”.  But mainstream Western media never describe the fighting with those words.
It’s almost as if Western Media are covering for something, or someone’s failure…..

Libya - Tripoli ExplosionPIRAEUS – Libya is descending into a civil war spiral that is “much worse” than the unrest that toppled its dictator Moamer Gathafi in 2011, residents fleeing the country said Saturday.
“We have gone through (war) before, with Gathafi, but now it’s much worse,” Paraskevi Athineou, a Greek woman living in Libya, said.
“Chaos reigns. There is no government, we have no food, no fuel, no water, no electricity for hours on end,” she said.
Athineou was part of a group of 186 people evacuated from Tripoli by a Greek navy frigate which reached the port of Piraeus early on Saturday.
In addition to 77 Greek nationals, there were 78 Chinese, 10 Britons, 12 Cypriots, seven Belgians, one Albanian and a Russian.
Among them were several diplomats, including the Chinese ambassador to Libya.

CDC Mission To Bring Ebola Infected U.S. Aid Worker Back To America Underway

One of the American aid workers is going to be airlifted back to the U.S. for treatment and care of the Ebola Virus.   According to the CDC and CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta a special non-stop jet left at 5:00pm on the mission to retrieve “an American” for treatment at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Given that only two Americans are known to be infected with the virus, Dr. Kent Brantly (below left), and aid worker Nancy Writebol (below right), both with Samaritans Purse, it can reasonably be assumed one of them will be aboard the transport.
Earlier reports from the region were that Dr. Brantly had given instructions for Mrs. Writebol to be treated first with any limited supplies of medication which might be available.   Consequently the higher probability is that Mrs. Writebol is the patient being transported if only one person is retrieved.

EBOLA OUTBREAK: 729 Now Dead – CDC Releases Most Severe Travel Warning About West Africa – "Don't Go"…

bloodborne-pathogensCommunicable Infection Control Warning Level 3
(Via The Hill) Federal health officials are warning travelers to avoid three West African countries where an Ebola outbreak is getting worse, a sign of the U.S. government’s growing concern about the virus.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a “Level 3” Warning on Thursday, the agency’s most serious travel notice, telling people in the United States not to enter Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone unless absolutely necessary.
CDC Director Tom Frieden said the agency is “surging” its response to the outbreak on the ground in West Africa in addition to warning U.S. travelers about the risk.

“This is the biggest and most complex Ebola outbreak in history,” Frieden said in a statement. “Far too many lives have been lost already. It will take many months, and it won’t be easy, but Ebola can be stopped. We know what needs to be done.” (more…)

libyan-rebels-550x367(Reuters) – Militant fighters overran a Libyan special forces base in the eastern city of Benghazi on Tuesday after a battle involving rockets and warplanes that killed at least 30 people.
A special forces officer said they had to abandon their main camp in the southeast of Benghazi after coming under sustained attack from a coalition of Islamist fighters and former rebel militias in the city.
“We have withdrawn from the army base after heavy shelling,” Saiqa Special Forces officer Fadel Al-Hassi told Reuters.
A separate special forces spokesman confirmed the militants had taken over the camp after the troops pulled out. Part of the area is Camp 36 in the Bu Attni district and the special forces school. (more…)

Ebola 2014 – A Whole New Level of Scary…. *UPDATE* Nigerian Patient Zero, Patrick Sawyer, Is American With Family In Minnesota

Watching a media report online I was quite surprised to hear the World Health Organization state they were frustrated by Nigerian government refusing to release the names of other passengers on a flight with a visibly contagious Ebola Patient. Here’s the backstory of why this specific outbreak is so potentially scary:

UPDATE:  The Liberian man, Patrick Sawyer was a U.S. Citizen (details below).

ebola oneQuartz.Com […] last week’s developments could transform this outbreak from an unusually nasty regional epidemic to something much bigger.
On Jul. 24, Nigerian authorities confirmed that a Liberian man, Patrick Sawyer, had collapsed in Lagos after flying there from the Liberian capital, Monrovia, and tested positive for Ebola; Sawyer died on the night of July 24-25.
This is alarming. So far, Ebola has been confined to Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia—war-torn and largely rural west African countries. But Lagos is different; not only is it Africa’s biggest city, with 21 million people. It’s also one of the world’s most densely populated. And perhaps scariest of all, it’s a center for international travel—meaning that if it’s not contained, the virus could easily go global. Sawyer’s was the first-ever recorded case of Ebola in Nigeria, according to the Nigerian Tribune. (more…)

Ebola Presents Major Health Crisis In West Africa – “Here, if the people come in, they don’t leave alive,”…

11 Days ago Doctors Without Borders sent a dire message to the Western world: “The Ebola contagion is expanding exponentially and we cannot control the epidemic”. With that announcement they presented the following video:

At the time of production there were approximately 603 confirmed deaths in the region with 90% of those who contracted the virus dying within a week of symptom presentation. Within a week the “known” death toll has risen to 690 and continues to rise.   Far more are suspected to have died in villages where aid workers have not been able to reach.
The most proficient doctor in the treatment of the virus has died, and within the last 24 hours the Western media have been notified of two more aid workers infected.
A doctor from the U.S., and another American, a hygienist who was supporting the efforts, have been diagnosed and are fully symptomatic.
Last night, as a containment measure, the entire border in/out of Liberia was closed. Things are worsening rapidly.

*UPDATE* Heads Up Indiana ! – Second American Aid Worker Has Fully Presented Ebola in Liberia – Family of First Victim Flew Into U.S. "about a week ago"….

update-1BREAKING NEWS: Ebola forces Liberia to shut border crossings  (link)

*NOTE*  Did Dr. Kent Brantly’s family anticipate the border closure ? (see article below)

BOONE, N.C. (AP) — A second American aid worker has tested positive for the Ebola virus at the same hospital in Liberia where an American doctor became infected while helping to combat an outbreak of the deadly disease, a relief group official said Sunday.
Ken Isaacs, a vice president of Samaritan’s Purse, told The Associated Press that Dr. Kent Brantly — the 33-year-old medical director for the group’s Ebola care center on the outskirts of the Liberian capital of Monrovia — was stable and in very serious condition.

“We are hopeful and prayerful,” Isaacs told AP by telephone from the group headquarters in Boone, North Carolina. He said the doctor quickly recognized the symptoms and sought speedy treatment.
Isaacs identified the second American, Nancy Writebol, as a worker with an allied aid group SIM, or Serving in Mission, which runs the hospital where Samaritan’s Purse has an Ebola care center on the grounds. He said she was in stable and serious condition.

Will We See A Texas Version of A Mohammed Bouazizi Event ?

Four years ago I was in a rather heated discussion about the ultimate ends to leftist ideology. The framework was around immigration and the general principles which Secretary of State Clinton and President Obama were supporting – only the discussion was not about America, it was about Europe.
Play-Thru-Murrieta-1
However, many of the same principles apply to the current U.S. border crisis.  One of the principle outlines being discussed was if you follow the path of belief to it’s logical conclusion you will find the U.S. facing the same issues with multi-culturalism and unchecked immigration.
At the time we did not know what 2014 would present; however, if you look historically at the issues I believe you will find a general similarity between the current border crisis, and the explosion in Europe right before the “Arab Spring”.
This is where the foreign policy ideology of President Obama comes full circle and delivers a domestic consequence of remarkable similarity.  (more…)
