Let it not be said that no Muslim Leaders have been trying to fight openly against the extremist Islamists. On New Year’s Day, a week before the Charlie Hebdo attacks, Egyptian President Fattah El Sisi called for all muslim nations to displace violent jihad and bring Islam into the 21st century.
El Sisi has been fighting against the extremists, and confronting their financiers in Qatar, for two years… Meanwhile the Obama White House and the liberal MSM have undermined him at almost every turn.
JERUSALEM—In a speech on New Year’s day, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi called for a “religious revolution” in Islam that would displace violent jihad from the center of Muslim discourse.
“Is it possible that 1.6 billion people (Muslims worldwide) should want to kill the rest of the world’s population—that is, 7 billion people—so that they themselves may live?” he asked. “Impossible.”
Speaking to an audience of religious scholars celebrating the birth of Islam’s prophet, Mohammed, he called on the religious establishment to lead the fight for moderation in the Muslim world. “You imams (prayer leaders) are responsible before Allah. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson is rumored to be on a very short list of people being considered to replace outgoing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
So with Secretary Jeh Johnson in mind, here’s two aspects toward that end which both align with the proposition, yet you won’t find them openly discussed amid the pages of the Pretorian guard media.

FIRST ISSUE: Back in 2011 when President Obama was s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g his constitutional boundaries and taking us to {*cough*} war in Libya, via the non-war, war, position and R2P -I digress-there was this pesky little fact of executive overreach with a non-declared war, and Obama’s refusal to request approval from congress.   Perhaps you remember it.
At the time, June 2011, a little known attorney existed inside the Pentagon, Jeh Johnson.  Johnson was the legal counsel for the Pentagon, and as a consequence was also part of the administration’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC).   Jeh Johnson was part of the OLC who told President Stompy Feet his executive foundation for military engagement was illegal.

(Via Front Page Mag) A new generation of the Libyan army was supposed to be trained in the West as part of international efforts to rebuild the country after the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi. Hand-picked recruits were invited to rural England for basic infantry and junior command training.

On Tuesday, however, the British Ministry of Defense announced that all 300 trainees would be sent home early after a string of sexual assaults were perpetrated against the residents of Cambridgeshire, culminating in the alleged gang rape of a young man.[…]
Two of the recruits have admitted to two sexual assaults and a bicycle theft in Market Square right at the center of the old town. They also pleaded guilty to threatening a police office. Another cadet, aged 18, has been charged with three sexual assaults.
In total, police have investigated reports of 11 sexual assaults in central Cambridge within nine days. (more…)

(UK Independent) David Cameron has been warned by German chancellor Angela Merkel that she would rather see the UK leave the European Union than change freedom of movement rules, according to reports.
Downing Street on Sunday did not deny that the conversation had taken place, after German newspaper Der Spiegel said Merkel had rejected Cameron’s demands for a cap on unskilled migrants. Sources told the newspaper that the chancellor said demands for any changes to freedom of movement rules represented a “point of no return” and that this would be it for the UK’s membership.
Over the weekend, the Sunday Times also reported that the prime minister has dropped plans for quotas in a bid to placate the Germans and that Cameron is now looking at whether the government can ask EU immigrants to leave the country unless they can support themselves within three months of arriving in the UK. More angst for the White House as the Ennahda party was the recipient of Obama’s affection when their islamist ideology took power in 2011.

TUNISIA – Tunisia’s secularist party Nidaa Tounes has won 85 seats in the country’s parliament following Sunday’s elections, official results show.
The governing Islamist Ennahda party won 69 seats in the 217-seat chamber. The official results confirm earlier predictions and Ennahda officials have already urged Nidaa Tounes to form an inclusive government.
Tunisia’s transition to democratic rule after a 2011 revolt has been hailed as a regional success story.  The revolt was the first and least violent of the Arab Spring uprisings against autocratic governments across the region. (more…)

For all intents and purposes Libya is the forgotten mess created by President Obama’s team and their insufferable incompetence.   Perhaps a time will surface when someone in the Western media will actually call Obama or Hillary Clinton to account for the mess they have created, but it doesn’t seem likely.

Imagine if Islamists were raging a power struggle throughout Canada while a Russian armed civil war was taking place in Mexico ~ imagine the position of our country in the face of such a problem.  That’s the analogy to a situation faced by Egypt as a consequence of our 2011 action, ISIS in Syria (with their eyes on Jordan), and neighboring Libya simultaneously in a civil war.
It’s easy to cast aspersions to the heavy-handed decision making of Fatah el-Sisi as he deals with the Sinai highway between Hamas (East) and the Muslim Brotherhood factions, which include ISIS, (West) along his borders with Gaza and Libya respectively.

President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Susan Rice and Samantha Power deconstructed the governing authority of Libya under the auspices of a “Responsibility to Protect“.   All of those “good intentions” went to a land of perpetual FUBAR once Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed and it all, well, needed to be brushed under the proverbial rug. This is an evolving situation which the White House is desperately trying to get their arms around control.   Currently the White House messaging to the U.S. media is an effort to sell the quarantine proposals as a U.S. Pentagon/Military decision/non-decision about quarantining soldiers who return from West Africa missions.  
However, it appears that specific angle’s narrative is driven as a needed cover story for DoD Secretary Hagel, and the Joint Chiefs – because  Italy, Spain and Germany  have told our military personnel (returning from Africa) they will face forced quarantine in their respective base countries.

WFB […] Major General Darryl A. Williams, who was appointed head of the U.S. command center in Liberia that coordinates the response to Ebola, was isolated along with several other Americans over the weekend, CNN reports.
The General’s “plane was met on the ground by Italian authorities ‘in full CDC gear,’” a U.S. official was quoted as telling CNN.
Williams and the others will now be monitored for 21 days at a U.S. military compound in Italy, according to the report.

The Italians forced U.S. Major General Williams into quarantine.

You can see the problem for the White House.  Our military forced to quarantine in other countries while President Obama is advocating exactly the opposite, and allowing everyone to come willy nilly in the U.S. 
To cover the dichotomy and try to avoid the conflict, the Joint Chief’s are debating a new rule forcing all of our military into quarantine.  This would change the dynamic to give the appearance of a decision made on our part and not forced by other nations, upon us.
However, such a rule might avoid the international optic but it would conflict with the White House.  How can the White House advocate for non-quarantine of West African healthcare workers, based on human rights violations, and yet force our military into the same quarantine. (more…)

Original Article – A 33-year-old doctor who recently returned from the disease-wracked West African country of Guinea was rushed Thursday to Bellevue Hospital with symptoms of the deadly disease – including a 103 degree fever.

Preliminary results of tests done on the doctor, identified by sources as Craig Spencer, are expected in the next 12 hours, the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said in a statement. (more…)

Washington, DC – Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment. Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.
It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients. The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola. (more…)
