Two jihadists wielding knives entered a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy, during mass.  Two nuns and two parishioners were taken hostage, one nun is seriously injured.  The 84-year-old priest, Father Jacques Hamel (pictured left), was forced to kneel down and his throat was slashed while one of the Islamists’ filmed the murder.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack and saying the butchery was carried out by two Islamic State soldiers. The two jihadists were known terror threats and wore ankle monitors, they were later shot by French police. An additional person has been detained as part of investigation.

French President Francois Hollande says he very angry now, and pledges to fight ISIS “using all means possible”.  With the ISIS attacks continuing inside France, Mr. Hollande has not ruled out the need for a sternly worded letter. (more…)

The Munich shooter has been identified as Ali Sonboly, an 18-year-old German with Iranian citizenship. The 18-year-old German/Iranian opened fire in a crowded Munich shopping mall and a nearby McDonald’s, killing nine people and wounding 16 others before killing himself.

However, as many are noting, the EU liberal media are trying to disconnect any reference to Islam despite the eye-witness claims.  An eye-witness who was inside the McDonalds when Ali Sonboly opened fire gave a first-hand account to CNN:

The media are even dropping his first name “Ali” and instead calling him David Sonboly.

A video has surfaced showing one of the gunman on a cell phone moments before opening fire on citizens outside a McDonalds restaurant.  WATCH:

In the video above it appears the gunman (dressed in black) is using his right hand to hold a cell phone to his left ear just before he opens fire with a handgun in his left hand.

We found a man, who killed him himself.

Guess who did the attack? Yup. It appears the resorts in southern France are being monitored by Jihadists for Islamic apparel compliance.

A Moroccan man brutally attacked a 46-year-old woman and her three daughters (aged 14, 12 and 8), with a knife, while vacationing in Hautes-Alpes (southern France). The eight-year-old is in critical condition, all four were stabbed.

They were eating breakfast near the pool when an authentic Jihadist took exception to their attire. The PC French are confused by the apparent lack of motive.

[…] Police say the motive for the attack remains ‘vague’ but local media reports state the attacker had made references to the females being ‘too lightly dressed’.

Eye-witnesses said the mum and her daughters had been having breakfast when they were attacked. Local prosecutor Raphael Balland told the AFP news agency: “The motive of the attack is very blurred.” (read more)

(Via BBC) More than 20 people in Germany have been injured after a man with an axe went on the rampage on a train, German media report.

A police operation including a helicopter is under way in Heidingsfeld, a part of the city of Wurzburg in southern Germany.  Details are scant and contradictory at this stage but some local media (in German) are reporting 21 casualties.

Some opinion writers have surmised a possibility that Recep Erdogan created the coup in Turkey as a method to smoke out his opposition and exert even more dictatorial power.  Having watched the events closely (5 years) which lead up to the coup attempt, we disagree.
All indications are the coup was genuine, albeit a long-shot, driven by the younger military leadership who remained guardians of the state after two years of Erdogan purging the top level generals.

Ideologically, Recep Erdogan has been working earnestly over the past 5+ years to extend his power and control.  Erdogan has grandiose plans of rebuilding a modern Ottoman Empire with himself as the figurehead in control.
The fortuitous crisis in Syria evolved into a tool for Erdogan to expand his constituency, and the influx of 3 million non-secular conservative Muslims as refugees into Turkey was part of that dynamic.
Erdogan’s ideological outlook can be captured when you look at the 2015 decision to give safe refuge to five Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leaders who were living in exile in Qatar and evicted after the Gulf States pressured Qatar to stop supporting extremist terrorists.  Erdogan promised the Muslim Brotherhood safe harbor in Turkey and he gave it to them.

11:30pm Turkish President Recep Erdogan claims he is back in full control. Claims the coup has failed.

9:00pm Some Reports that Coup has failed / Others it has succeeded.  Unfortunately, if coup did fail, that means the Islamists have won.  If Islamists win, anticipate extreme backlash from a returning Recep Erdogan who will most likely go full dictator now.
Erdogan is notorious for punishing his enemies.  Erdogan will probably open the floodgates for more Islamists to flow freely into the European Union to punish the secularists for their uprising.
Recep Erdogan will therefore have replaced former EU blackmailer Muammar Gaddafi using the exact same strategy, uncontrolled immigration, to punish his neighbors.   The EU was previously paying Gaddafi €5+ million/yr to keep North African immigration under control.  If coup fails it will be a very bad day for the EU, as Erdogan will now leverage his dictatorial power to force EU compliance with his wishes.
This fits the grandiose plans of Erdogan swimmingly.  He desperately wants to recreate the Ottomoan Empire in his lifetime.

Washington (CNN) Congress released on Friday a long-classified report exploring the alleged ties of the Saudi Arabian government to the 9/11 hijackers.
Known as the “28 pages,” the secret document was part of a 2002 congressional investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks and has been classified since the report’s completion.
