Pedestrians going to Tijuana from San Diego at the San Ysidro crossing must choose between a line for Mexicans who get walk through unchecked, and a line for foreigners who must show a passport, fill out a form and – if staying more than a week – pay 322 pesos, or roughly $20, for a six-month permit. Donald Trump has proposed an ambitious plan to protect the Southern U.S. border, and deal with the illegal alien crisis. One of the attack approaches of the plan’s detractors is to state there’s no visible payment mechanism. Let’s look at one aspect.

On Page #3 the plan outlines:

Triple the number of ICE officers.
As the President of the ICE Officers’ Council explained in Congressional testimony: “Only approximately 5,000 officers and agents within ICE perform the lion’s share of ICE’s immigration mission…Compare that to the Los Angeles Police Department at approximately 10,000 officers. Approximately 5,000 officers in ICE cover 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam, and are attempting to enforce immigration law against 11 million illegal aliens already in the interior of the United States. Since 9-11, the U.S. Border Patrol has tripled in size, while ICE’s immigration enforcement arm, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), has remained at relatively the same size.” This will be funded by accepting the recommendation of the Inspector General for Tax Administration and eliminating tax credit payments to illegal immigrants.  (link)

Having watched an entire media cycle of punditry pontificate about Donald Trump proposing to deport “by force” 11 to 42 million illegal aliens we find ourselves shaking our heads at how little the MSM think of the viewing audience.
NO-WHERE in Donald Trump’s proposal does he say, or advocate for, the mass “rounding up and subsequent deportation” of millions of illegal aliens.   He never said it, he never proposed it, and it doesn’t exist in his presented Border Solution and Illegal Alien proposal.

Last week we discussed the illegal alien who bonded out after beating a two-year-old girl near death.  Some people predicted he would skip town and not show up for his court case.  Those people were right, he didn’t.

CALIFORNIA – An illegal immigrant whom the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office recently let out of jail did not appear Thursday at his first court appearance for the alleged near-fatal beating of a 2-year-old girl.
Francisco Chavez, 27, is accused of nearly beating to death the young daughter of his live-in girlfriend. The two-year-old reportedly suffered a broken leg, two broken arms, a compressed spine, bruises and a urinary tract infection. She was in the hospital with a 107-degree fever days following the beating.
On Thursday, after Chavez failed to appear, Judge Dodie Harman ordered a warrant for his arrest with bail set at $600,000. (more…)

The topic of illegal immigration is a subject we have reviewed, researched and offered possible solutions to be considered for over four years.   In Part ONE we outlined how illegal aliens achieve work in the U.S. and what would be needed to remove the incentive.
Any solution to solving the problem must first understand how the problem of illegal alien employment is supported by U.S. policy.   In our opinion, removing those conflicting employment policies is something that has to be done.

We have now had time to review Donald Trump’s border security and immigration proposals.  Happily, he, and those who advise him, appear to be right over the target.

I never quite understand the position of affording illegal aliens U.S. constitutional rights, when they are illegal to begin with.  Seriously, what makes the protection of U.S. constitutional law applicable to an illegal entrant.
CALIFORNIA – A California toddler fighting for her life Thursday after a brutal beating at the hands of an illegal immigrant with a long criminal record is the latest case to rile California sheriffs and police against a U.S. immigration policy they say is forcing them to release dangerous criminals out on the street.
Francisco Javier Chavez, the live-in boyfriend of the unidentified two-year-old’s mother, is out on bail after being charged in the late July attack, which left the San Luis Obispo County girl with two broken arms, a broken femur, a compressed spine, a urinary tract infection and a fever of 107 degrees. Chavez’s criminal record includes assault and drug convictions and arrests for violent acts including kidnapping, car jacking and cruelty to a child. (more…)
