To say the last 24 hours have been historic could most certainly be an understatement. However, we can be certain a wounded global media will put every possible liberal, progressive, multicultural and socialist voice onto television and into print to push back against the visible rise of a growing nationalist sentiment.

What has happened with the U.K. referendum is going to send reverberations around the globe; but this outcome should not come as a complete surprise to most CTH readers. What happened in Great Britain is the visible rise of their national Monster Vote.
People from across political parties, conservative (Tory) and democrat (Labour), joined together to unite against the institutional political systems (EU) who construct the rules of their lives without the consent of the governed. (more…)
Following the United Kingdom referendum vote to leave the European Union, UK Prime Minister David Cameron announces his pending resignation.
“There can be no doubts about this result” – During a press conference this morning Cameron said he is not the strong determined committed leadership required to begin unraveling Britain from the EU.
Standing outside Ten Downing Street, Cameron further gave a timeline of three months for a transitional process and a goal to have a new Prime Minister by October when the annual conservative (Tory) party conference begins.

Today is the big day for Britain’s vote to remain in the European Union or to declare its independence and take control of its own destiny. Voting began at 7:00am in Britain (2:00am U.S. EDT) and will continue throughout the day until 10:00pm local (5:00pm U.S. EDT):
Update 6:30pm EDT: With polls closed the totals are beginning to come in. UK Telegraph has a Live Stream and Live Feed – AVAILABLE HERE

There is a great deal of media information and misinformation coming out in the early results depending on the political leanings of the reporting media. At 6:43pm EDT it’s still too uncertain.
A Leave source tells me that, for what it is worth, the polls by the financial institutions are split on what the result is

This is the second specific assassination attempt on the life of Donald Trump. If various ideological people were attempting to kill Hillary Clinton this would be leading the news coverage 24/7 with background stories on every aspect of the assassin’s life and family.
Unfortunately, the visibility of assassination attempts against Donald Trump do not benefit the media leftist narrative. According to the Associated Press report:
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas told authorities he tried to grab an officer’s gun so he could kill the candidate, according to federal authorities.

A complaint [full embedded pdf below] filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Nevada charges Michael Steven Sandford with an act of violence on restricted grounds. He’s expected to appear in court on Monday afternoon.
Authorities said Sandford went to a Trump rally on Saturday at the Treasure Island Casino and approached a Las Vegas police officer to say he wanted an autograph from Trump. The report says Sandford grabbed the handle of an officer’s gun in an attempt to remove it, and was arrested. (more…)
With less than two weeks remaining before the voting begins June 23rd…. An update on the continuing poll conducted by UK Independent finds a majority swing away from remain and toward leave in the European Union referendum for Great Britain:
(Via UK Independent) The campaign to take Britain out of the EU has opened up a remarkable 10-point lead over the Remain camp, according to an exclusive poll for The Independent.

The survey of 2,000 people by ORB found that 55 per cent believe the UK should leave the EU (up four points since our last poll in April), while 45 per cent want it to remain (down four points). These figures are weighted to take account of people’s likelihood to vote.
It is by far the biggest lead the Leave camp has enjoyed since ORB began polling the EU issue for The Independent a year ago, when it was Remain who enjoyed a 10-point lead. Now the tables have turned. (read more)
Despite their earnest efforts the liberal media can’t “Stump the Trump“, and they also can’t “Barrage the Farage“…

With two weeks remaining before official voting takes place in the United Kingdom (UK) referendum to exit the European Union (EU), the most current polling shows growing support amid the “Leave” movement:

Almost every argument for and against the Brexit vote now centers around self-determination in general, and immigration determination specifically. All EU nation states operate as a broad open borders region with no statutory impediments to any EU citizen emigrating throughout the region.
The recent influx of economic refugees from the Mid-East (Syria mostly), and North Africa, via Turkey and Greece routes, has opened up a growing problem of uncontrollable inbound migration. Consequently the economic impacts of higher demand on welfare programs, combined with the downward pressure on wage rates, has many UK citizens questioning their previous support. Hence, the “leave” coalition is finding growing support. (more…)
(Via Reuters) Prime Minister David Cameron is struggling to convince voters he is telling the truth about why Britain should stay in the European Union and his main “Out” rival Boris Johnson is doing a better job, an opinion poll found.

Only 21 percent of respondents in the survey carried out by polling firm ComRes agreed that Cameron was more likely to tell the truth about the EU than Johnson while 45 percent said Johnson was more believable than Cameron.
With less than six weeks to go until the June 23 referendum on Britain’s EU membership and voters evenly split on how they intend to cast their ballots, the rival camps have stepped up campaigning. (more…)
The newly elected Mayor of London, England, Sadiq Khan, sent a rather disturbing public message to the United States and candidate Donald Trump today. The implied threat content is more than a little alarming:

How does a persons’ view of a group make the viewer “less safe”, unless the viewed group have an inherent propensity to violence?
What Mayor Khan is essentially outlining is the preferred position of all abusers.
If you had only made me a better sandwich my disappointment wouldn’t have made me punch you in the face.
