Sunday Talks, Rick Grenell Discusses JoeBama’s Ideological Foreign Policy – A Compare and Contrast of Doctrine ~ by Sundance

Former U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Acting Director of National Intelligence, Richard ‘Ric’ Grenell, discusses the ideological flaws within the JoeBama foreign policy as it is being rolled out and our adversaries are laughing.   The interview begins with a discussion of the embarrassing U.S-China summit in Alaska, where Chinese officials dressed-down U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken.

As Grenell notes the policies of many ideologically aligned leftist nations (ie. Germany, South Korea) are in conflict with their ‘western’ values as expressed.  This has been evident for decades.

The example of Germany contracting with Russia for natural gas (Nordstream II pipeline), while not fulfilling their NATO funding commitments, is just one aspect.  South Korea presents a similar ideological hypocrisy regarding China/DPRK.  Angela Merkel and Moon Jae-In are not coincidentally aligned with Obama’s leftist world-view.

ANALYSIS – The Obama foreign policy doctrine was fraught with ideological hypocrisy as a feature not a flaw.  Claim a desire for mid-east peace, set the middle-east on fire with the Arab Spring (Obama Cairo speech).  Claim a desire for middle-class workers, yet facilitate corporate offshoring.  Claim a desire for Israeli security yet attack Egyptian President Fattah al-Sisi for creating Israeli security.  Accept a Nobel Peace Prize, set Libya on fire and kill thousands.  Accept a Nobel Peace Prize, then attack Syria.  Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy.

Champion women’s’ causes on stage, yet embrace Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood who devalue women.  Claim to support democratic elections, then undermine the majority election outcome of the British vote in Brexit.  Everything, every – single – thing, about the Obama foreign policy was an exercise in hypocrisy.  There were ZERO foreign policy successes, NONE.  What we are seeing now is the same thing with Biden, because it is an extension of Obama’s third term.  Hence, JoeBama.

Is It Time to Start a Third Party? – A Presentation by Dr Steve Turley and Support From CTH

The question around a third party has been debated on the pages of CTH for over a decade.  After CTH researched each of the last four UniParty U.S. presidential elections we came to the conclusion in 2015 it was necessary to break the two-club system.

It was the need for a third party; and CTH recognizing Donald Trump as the outside pragmatic independent voice who personified a third option; that initiated our 2015 support for what everyone was calling the “long-shot” outsider candidate at the time.

With the American electorate now awake to political issues around the UniParty; and with evidence of 74 million+ Trump voters, and entrenched republican party unwillingness to be an independent second party option; the question about a third party is far more prevalent.  In this video Dr Steve Turley uses the example of Brexit in 2019 to highlight how a third party in the U.S. could actually succeed.  WATCH:

We need to deal with the voting integrity issues on a state level, that is where we must engage and fight to fix issues with ballot fraud.   That fix requires state legislation to address and control mail-in ballot use. They cannot use the COVID excuse forever.

Then, and only then, I would take the third party discussion one step further….

Global Trade – Boris Johnson Nominates Liam Fox to Lead World Trade Organization…

President Trump and the U.S. economic team have held a policy perspective that the World Trade Organization (WTO) is no longer a useful functioning body to mediate global trade issues.  At the center of that view are two issues:

First that WTO rules and regulations do not support American economic interests; and secondly, that WTO processes still provide China with favorable benefits as an “emerging nation” despite their scale. As a result the Trump administration has been positioning for a withdrawal from a dysfuctional WTO.

In an effort to keep the WTO intact, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has nominated a pro-Brexit/pro-America trade minister, Liam Fox, to become the next Director General.

(Via Fox News) – The British government on Wednesday announced that it was nominating former International Trade Secretary Liam Fox to head the World Trade Organization – selecting a strongly pro-Washington candidate at a time when the U.S. is debating quitting the trade body.

U.S. and U.K. Begin Negotiations on Free Trade Agreement…

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and U.K. Secretary of State for International Trade Elizabeth Truss announced today [joint statement] the beginning of a series of fast-tracked trade negotiations toward a new free trade agreement. [USTR Release]

In the foreground is a trade agreement between the U.S. and the United Kingdom. However, in the more strategic background context these negotiations create leverage for the U.K. in their post-Brexit negotiations with the European Union. First from today:

LIGHTHIZER – […] The US negotiating team will be led by Dan Mullaney, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East; and the UK negotiating team will be led by Oliver Griffiths, Director for US Negotiations at the Department for International Trade. Over 200 staff from U.S. and UK government agencies and departments are expected to take part in the negotiations.

Today is Brexit Day – The U.K Formally Departs The European Union at 11:00pm…

I think it is fair to say: no individual has worked harder for this day than Britain’s Nigel Farage. Without his relentless work to organize voters to remove the U.K. from the European Union; and then to organize again -three years later-  to break the Brexit stalemate in Parliament; this momentous day would not have arrived.  [Tweet]

(Via Daily Mail) Boris Johnson will deliver a plea for the country to move on from Brexit as the UK finally leaves the EU tonight.
In an address to be broadcast shortly before Britain’s departure at [11pm U.K. / 6pm U.S. ET], the Prime Minister will insist that Brexit marks ‘not an end but a beginning’.

Secretary Wilbur Ross Discusses Trade and Next U.S. Focus on Europe – "I've Seen a Little Bit of a Sense of Panic Amid Some Europeans"….

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, says the USMCA positions the U.S. to begin focusing on a new trade agreement with Europe and others. Secretary Ross notes the administration initiates the EU from a position that talks will be successful. It is only if talks are not successful that Europe has to worry about tariffs. Too funny:

…”Frankly, I’ve seen a little bit of a sense of panic among some of the Europeans, because they know that with us solidifying both the USMCA and China ‘phase-one’ we’re in much stronger negotiating position than we’ve ever been”…

President Trump Congratulates Boris Johnson on Great Win: "Now be free to strike a massive new Trade Deal after BREXIT"…

Last night President Trump congratulated Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his great win in the U.K. election, noting the possibilities for a big trade boost are “massive”:

Not accidentally, the geopolitical economic and trade planets have aligned splendidly.   The cornerstone USMCA agreement has bipartisan support and will ratify quickly in congress.  A “phase one” trade agreement with China is likely, and prior plans for a strategic trade deal with the U.K. have increased as a result of the U.K. election.
First rule in geopolitics, it’s always about the economics.  Second rule in geopolitics: refer to rule #1.    Understanding this basic truism is the key to understand how President Trump is able to be so effective.  There are trillions at stake, and many interests.

“Economic security is national security.” ~President Trump

All politics circles back to the underlying economics; whether it is an individual financial self-interest for a specific politician, or whether it is a larger financial interest for a group or even a nation.  Everything is always about the money; and that essential truth is why Donald Trump is so uniquely qualified, influential and stunningly effective.

Wakey Wakey – Exit Polls Show Landslide Conservative Boris Johnson Win in U.K. Elections – Open Discussion Thread….

A “landslide”, a complete “wipe-out”, a “massive victory” appears looming for Boris Johnson and the conservative party in the U.K. if exit polls are accurate.

These blowout results guarantee a faster Brexit from the European Union and the leftist labor party in the U.K. has been crushed.  Conservatives look to have picked up 50 seats and Labor has lost 71 seats; the Scottish National Party (SNP) has picked up 20.
The “Remainers” in the U.K. have been decimated, and the voters who want to “Leave” the EU have fueled a massive victory for Boris Johnson.  Liberal heads are blown-out, bigly.

(Via Daily Mail) Boris Johnson hailed his new blue-collar Tory army tonight as it emerged he is on track to secure a staggering landslide in the election battle – with Labour’s ‘red wall’ of Brexit-backing strongholds imploding.

A dramatic exit poll shows voters handing the Tories a massive 368 seats, with Labour languishing on 191 – down 71 on 2017 and the worst performance in modern history.

The bombshell numbers would give a huge Commons majority of 86, the biggest since Margaret Thatcher’s triumph in 1987, and are equivalent to a 10-point lead in the popular vote. (more)

This result also has massive ramifications for a U.S-U.K trade deal; and subsequently major leverage for the U.S. (independently) and a U.S. – U.K. alliance in future trade negotiations against the European Union.
