Today presents yet another example of lunacy from the political left as Democrat Senator Corey Booker declares he is Spartacus; except he isn’t – not even a little bit.
Using his best dramatic voice Booker said he would “knowingly” violate Senate rules to release emails marked “committee confidential” showing that nominee Brett Kavanaugh discussed racial profiling as a White House lawyer in 2002.
Playing to the television audience Booker declared his bravery and referred to his actions as an act of “civil disobedience”. Saying: “This is about the closest I’ll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.” ::Dun-Dun-Duh:::
.
Except, what dramatic Booker failed to mention was the super-secret Kavanaugh emails he was bravely releasing were, well,… already cleared for release. (more…)
After reviewing a weird CNN report on the backstory of the anonymous op-ed, it becomes more clear the entire construct of the New York Times publication was a manufactured political operation between like-minded allies in DC politics and media.
An anonymous person worked with another anonymous person, who acted as an anonymous go-between, between the second anonymous person and the media. In essence, there is no originating official; it’s all made up.
There are some interesting overlays amid a Washington Post report just published which outlines that a Grand Jury is hearing witness testimony in a criminal probe of former FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
You might remember it was April 19th, 2018, when the initial criminal referral from the Office of Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, was first made public. The actual timing of the referral, to a “D.C. U.S.Attorney” took place some time prior to April 19th.
The original IG referral to the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office was after the inspector general concluded McCabe had lied to investigators and possibly his own boss, then-FBI Director James B. Comey, on four occasions, three of them under oath. The details were outlined in the first IG report into the conduct of Andrew McCabe [See Here]
Within today’s Washington Post report they specify a grand jury has been hearing from witnesses surrounding that referral and potentially other matters, in an effort to “lock down” witness statements.
WaPo – Federal prosecutors have for months been using a grand jury to investigate former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe — an indication the probe into whether he misled officials exploring his role in a controversial media disclosure has intensified, two people familiar with the matter said.
Joe diGenova, Gregg Jarrett and Sara Carter appear with Sean Hannity to discuss the ongoing DOJ issues with: Bruce Ohr, the Carter Page FISA application and the institutionally corrupt DOJ and FBI. The issue of Rod Rosenstein being under IG investigation and possibly recused from current FISA procedures is not really a big deal.
Since March 28th, 2018, Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been investigating the potential for fraud/abuse in the Carter Page FISA application; Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein signed-off on one FISA extension; so as a matter of investigative position Rosenstein’s activity is technically under IG investigation and he cannot participate therein.
Earlier this afternoon the New York Times presented an Op-ed claiming to be from an anonymous Senior Official within the Trump Administration [SEE HERE].
The op-ed is titled: “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration” and carries a bi-line saying: “I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”
The tone, flow, construct and syntax of the article points to a very familiar “establishment republican” perspective. The “resistance” criticism levied within the article is centered around the outlook of the professional political class, and their sense of importance. If NRO’s Jonah Goldberg worked for the administration, he would be suspect #1 – that’s the dripping sense of superiority and elitism expressed.
The opinions expressed within the “anonymous” op-ed reflect the typical worldview of elitist republicans. That is to say, a holier-than-thou neocon “establishment” GOPe type, who prefers crustless cucumber and mayonnaise sandwiches on white bread cut into little triangles. From this world-view President Trump is an outsider; a vulgarian, a deplorable who needs to be managed by those who are much more important.
From the construct of the trade positions espoused within the writing; in combination with the voluminous praise for Senator John McCain; we can see the epicenter of this “republican resistance” is based on Trump’s withdrawal from foreign interventionism and his economic/trade policies which contradict with the customary globalist views of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Wall Street and the pontificating financial class.

[Transcript] Q There’s anonymous op-ed in the New York Times that says, “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration.” Just posted. Your reaction?
THE PRESIDENT: Hey, I’ll ask the sheriffs: Can you imagine? We have somebody in what I call the failing New York Times” that’s talking about he’s part of the resistance within the Trump administration. (more…)
In comments yesterday about the likelihood of Canada joining the U.S-Mexico trade agreement, Justin from Canada stated emphatically that his country would not join any trade agreement that removes Canadian protectionist policy on “cultural industries”.
What are Justin’s “cultural industries“? Well, that would be control over media and telecommunications. In essence, Canada wouldn’t want any of that pesky free-market media stuff interfering with the state-run propaganda broadcasts. Yup, you can’t make this stuff up folks…
CANADA – […] The prime minister also said his government won’t sign an updated free trade accord with the U.S. and Mexico if the deal doesn’t continue exemptions for Canada’s cultural industries, which aims to protect Canada’s publishing and broadcast industries.
From a pure economic/financial perspective this Nike branding campaign doesn’t make sense…. unless, you realize a much bigger picture. A hidden bigger picture.
On its face, it just seems absurd. Why would any major corporation intentionally stake out a branding position that is adverse to their financial interests?
I’ve spoken to some very excellent business actuaries on this late today; and one specific conversation finally helped to make it all make sense. During that conversation a good ally shared: “a multinational corporation would never make a branding decision adverse to their financial interests. Unless there is a hidden risk unrelated to what is visible on the surface.” ….BINGO, there it is, the lightbulb went on.
A hidden risk that likely has nothing whatsoever to do with Colin Kaepernick.
The bigger risk to Nike has nothing to do with Black Lives Matter, U.S. Consumers, or Antifa-like political advocacy. The bigger financial risk to the Nike Corporation has everything to do with geopolitics and a reset of international trade agreements.
Here’s the hidden aspect with research to back it up. Nike Inc. has hitched its massive corporate existence to a 10-year business plan that is dependent on the continuance of recently negotiated manufacturing contracts. (more…)
During the senate confirmation hearing today the full antics of the Democrat political apparatus were on display. One of their choreographed and manufactured moments happened when a man named Fred Guttenberg was staged to shake the hand of Judge Kavanaugh during one of the recess breaks. SEE VIDEO:
.
Fred Guttenberg is one of the parents from the February Parkland High School shooting, a Democrat and a gun control proponent. Judge Brett Kavanaugh, like most of America, had no idea who the guy was who was trying to grab him. It was an entirely staged event put on by Senator Dianne Feinstein, the Democrat party, and coordinated with prior notification to media to anticipate the moment.
Here’s how it was scripted. (more…)
From the first moment the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing began to confirm Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the insane influence of the far-left political apparatus was obvious. As screaming protesters responded to the cues of Democrats on the committee the coordination and optics were transparent. Creating chaos and crisis is a typical Alinsky political strategy to advance left-wing causes.
The childish antics, visible rage and unhinged behavior will backfire in a significant manner. Don’t look away; these crazy ideologues are the people who are trying to win the 2018 election. Imagine if they ever had political power again.
Unfortunately, when the hecklers in the audience began screaming out of control, it became unsafe for Judge Kavenaugh’s children to remain in the Senate Chamber. His two young daughters, Margaret (13) and Liza (10), were rushed from the hearing room under armed guard for their safety and protection. “It was very unpleasant for young children,” said one insider. More than 22 people have been arrested so far.
This is the modern Democrat party.
Do not look away. This is their authentic nature. (more…)
Arizona Senator Jon Kyl retired in 2013. Today he was appointed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to fill-in the absent Arizona Senate Seat formerly occupied by John McCain. Kyl has accepted the interim Senate seat only through this congressional session ending in January 2019.
Due to party political considerations; due to the overall corrupt ideology of the Arizona GOPe political apparatus; and due the customary illusion of choice; Arizona is not holding an election for a permanent replacement until 2020. Without Kyl agreeing to an extension, that means Arizona will have another interim Senator appointed for the next congressional year, beginning January 2019.
Now things make sense. This plan has obviously been in place for a while. Senator Jon Kyl was the Republican whip for a number of years in the senate, and also served as Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s guide taking Kavanaugh through the confirmation meetings with current senators. (more…)
