Sharyl Attkisson has provided some new information on the closed door Benghazi Select Committee hearings and investigative inquiry.

Including the following from Trey Gowdy:

We took a lot of fire -following the Benghazi Brief– when we explained why this would be the case.  The risks of sunlight are essentially equal to both Republicans -who approved the program(s) basic goals via intelligence oversight- and Democrats alike.
Apparently we were correct.

14-Years-Old. Fourteen prior arrests. Arrested again on January 14th. The response from his Grandfather is almost as alarming as the story around his current arrest….

TAMPA (FOX 13) – Hillsborough County deputies say they nearly had to shoot a 14-year-old who was reaching into his waistband.  Deputies say that a search revealed Dallas Robinson was carrying a gun and two magazines of hollow-point bullets.

“This was a kid that was fully-loaded, ready to go,” said HCSO spokesman Larry McKinnon.  They also found that he has a rap sheet that goes back to when he was 10.
Just after midnight in Tampa, near the intersection of St. James and 127th Ave., a deputy stopped Robinson because his bike didn’t have a headlight.
They say that Robinson ran and that the deputy struggled with him before Robinson reached for his waistband. (more…)

18-year-old Antreal Jones, 17-year-old Jerome Moore and 16-year-old Antwain Dukes. Dukes and Jones were out on bond for a March 2014 armed robbery. Both suspects have previously been indicted on this charge and were awaiting trial when they killed 69-year-old Carolyn Temple.

Jerome Moore’s Mom (Sharonda Burns):

“My son is known for house burglary. That’s all. He’s been going to the Juvenile Center for his house burglary,” Sharonda Burns told us. “For one, my son is not going to shoot no gun. Now, I’m not saying he won’t rob nobody, but I know he won’t shoot no gun. He was not there the time the lady got attacked. I know for a fact where he was. He was not involved in that murder.”

[…]  January 07, 2015: At 6:45 pm Carolyn Temple was robbed and shot by two suspects on Euclid Drive. Witnesses reported hearing one gunshot then say they saw two suspects flee the scene in a Maroon 4 door vehicle. (more…)

A new batch of emails show how IRS official Lois Lerner intentionally tried to stop inquiry about the IRS Targeting scheme back in April of 2012, and how the IRS was seeking to block congressional inquiry into the activity of the prior two years.
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released a new batch of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) documents, including a series of emails from former IRS official Lois Lerner to then-Tax Exempt and Government Entities (TE/GE) Division Deputy Director Joseph H. Grant strongly objecting to his planned visit to the IRS Cincinnati office “smack dab in the middle” of congressional inquiries into the IRS targeting of conservative groups. Lerner also expresses concerns about a pending investigation by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) into the IRS’s handing of Tea Party applications. (more…)

The STL County Police are going to release more pictures of the looters every Tuesday. Finally, and interestingly, amid explaining this approach from Saint Louis law enforcement comes the following:

“He said the coming images will include some from Aug. 10, the day after white Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed a black teen, Michael Brown, in a controversial confrontation”…

Because many of us have wondered how difficult it would be to catch this guy:

CLAYTON • Calls from the public identified five looting suspects and provided 15 leads after St. Louis County police released surveillance photos last week from violent protests in the Ferguson area Nov. 24.
So the department released a new batch of pictures Tuesday and plans to publicize more on successive Tuesdays. They may be from protest-related crimes on various dates. (more…)

Credit where credit is due. The messaging from the White House about why they haven’t called the terrorist attacks “Islamic Terrorism” must have been a top priority in the past 48 hours. As noted in this shift expressed by Josh Earnest. The question was posed:

“The leader of France, your ally in this effort, has put a name on this ideology, which he calls radical Islam,” noted NPR’s Mara Liasson. “You have bent over backwards to not ever say that. There must be a reason.”

Josh Earnest Responds: “The first is accuracy. We want to describe exactly what happened. These are individuals who carried out an act of terrorism and they later tried to justify that act of terrorism by invoking the religion of Islam and their own deviant view of it. (more…)

HOUSTON, Texas — A customer is being called a hero after pulling a gun on two armed robbery suspects at a Houston restaurant.
It happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday at K&S Seafood Bar and Grill in the 7000 block of North Gessner Road.
Koy Sam and his wife were closing at the time and two customers were finishing their meals when two men walked in with guns.
“All of a sudden my wife ran back panicking,” Sam said.  One of them forced the couple to the ground while the other went for the register.  He never made it because a customer confronted him with a gun. (more…)
