Earlier today Democrat Senator Harry Reid (NV) announced his intentions not to seek re-election in 2016. Moments later Harry Reid announced his preferred selection for his replacement within Senate leadership, Chuck Schumer (NY).

WASHINGTON DC – Harry Reid endorsed Chuck Schumer to succeed him as Senate minority leader after he retires in 2016.

“I think Schumer should be able to succeed me,” the Nevada Democrat said about the New York Democrat in an interview Friday with the Washington Post.

Reid, 75, whose Senate career has spanned three decades, has led Senate Democrats since 1995. He announced Friday he would not seek re-election in 2016. (more…)

(Via Washington Free Beacon) A legal watchdog group on Thursday asked the Department of Justice to investigate allegations that two senior Democratic officeholders illegally pushed federal officials to reward investors in companies to which they had personal, financial, or political ties.

Investors in those companies eventually received U.S. visas through a federal program despite concerns that they were involved in illegal activities or had tried to hide sources of their income from U.S. immigration officials.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) and Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) of Virginia may have illegally facilitated that process at the expense of less politically connected applicants for the same program, according to Cause of Action, a conservative legal watchdog group. (link)

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The United States is considering letting Tehran run hundreds of centrifuges at a once-secret, fortified underground bunker in exchange for limits on centrifuge work and research and development at other sites, officials have told The Associated Press.

The trade-off would allow Iran to run several hundred of the devices at its Fordo facility, although the Iranians would not be allowed to do work that could lead to an atomic bomb and the site would be subject to international inspections, according to Western officials familiar with details of negotiations now underway. In return, Iran would be required to scale back the number of centrifuges it runs at its Natanz facility and accept other restrictions on nuclear-related work. (more…)

New York Times political reporter Amy Chozick has shared (via twitter) the content of an email she received from Team Hillary Clinton.

Apparently the group is planning to attack reporters with accusations of sexism if the media use words like “polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, ambitious, inevitable, entitled, over confident” to describe Hillary Clinton.

Yes, all of the aforementioned words have been used in the first 24 hours to describe Ted Cruz, but in typical fem-Nazi fashion that doesn’t matter.

This guy cracks me up. At the 0:50 second mark you see the White House parseltongue (aka. spin). Essentially stating the success of U.S. (Obama) Foreign Policy cannot be measured against the outcome of the government the policy is directed toward.

Just because the destination of the policy collapses and doesn’t deliver the desired outcome, does not mean the policy itself was unsuccessful. It merely means the recipient of the policy has failed, not the originator.

Doesn’t that explanation encapsulate the entire Obama outlook toward everything? Such an outlook reflects the perfect cognitive avoidance mechanism which demands consequences are never blamed on the originating action.

We noted yesterday how General David Petraeus recently warned the Iranian Militias were a greater threat than the Sunni ISIS fighters they oppose. Fighting to aid the Shiite Militia is -for all intents and purposes- direct aid to agenda of Iran. FUBAR.

Many of the Shiite militia commanders are listed by the US as Specially Designated Global Terrorists, and one militia is listed as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Many of the commanders and militias are responsible for killing US, Coailition, and Iraqi troops and civilians during the occupation of Iraq.
