GOP Decepticon John Boehner Gives Dear Leader New Credit Limit…. Meanwhile – Dear Leader Refuses To Pay Current Bill and Has Missed Lawful Budget Proposal Deadline Yet Again In 2014 (5 out of 6 years)…

People are saying they shoulda got this, and they shoulda asked for that…. blah, blah, blah… Do you want to know my opinion ?

Imagine if they had simply said:  “we’ll raise the debt ceiling on the same date we see the president’s budget” !  [constitutionally the POTUS budget proposal is supposed to be delivered to congress on Feb 1st of each year – yeah, as in 11 days ago] Think about it.

tearsofboehnerTanning(Reuters) – Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday caved in to demands by President Barack Obama and agreed to advance legislation raising Washington’s borrowing authority without conditions.

House Speaker John Boehner, announcing to reporters the plan to advance a “clean” debt limit bill to the House floor on Wednesday, said: “We’ll let the Democrats put the votes up. We’ll (Republicans) put a minimum number of votes up to get it passed.”  (link)

update-1UPDATE:  (NBC News) – The House has passed a “clean” extension of the debt limit.   Twenty-eight Republicans joined all but two Democrats to approve the extension of the debt limit until March 2015 — without any additional legislative wish list items attached.

The vote was 221-201.  The Senate is expected to take up the debt limit extension before the end of the week.  (link)

The Republican Machine Continues To Play Decepticon Role – Grow Government and Destroy Conservative Freedom Opposition…

In the final analysis the intellectually honest observer would admit the GOP and the Democrats are generally aligned in favor of government control of Healthcare and Immigration, ie. amnesty.

In a recent New York Times article titled “Chastened G.O.P. Tries to Foil Insurgents at Primary Level” you find a typical narrative; Tea Party is EXTREME and GOP is moderate. Searching for an outlier to use as representative Tea Party imagery the Times select Virginian whacko Richard H Black to broad stroke conservatives, while framing ‘moderation’ as the best political course.

Nothing is more annoying than the constant drumbeat to connect outliers in the Alinsky-ization of grass roots concern. Isolate, Ridicule and Marginalize. Then wash, rinse, repeat.

mcconnell-cornynWhat the GOP fear more than defeat against democrats is losing internal power over Big Business and Big Government. Establishment class Republicans, like those found inside the rolls of the Chamber of Commerce, will fight for their own power hungry ideology with a desperate intent.

(Times Excerpt) […] In House and Senate races across the country, many of the traditional and influential centers of power within the party are taking sides in primaries, overwhelming challengers on the right with television ads and, in some cases, retaliating against those who are helping the insurgents. In Mr. Black’s case, one by one, powerful Republicans started backing his rival, Barbara J. Comstock, a member of the State House of Delegates. First Mitt Romney endorsed her. Then came Citizens United and the president of Americans for Prosperity, the group financed by the wealthy Koch brothers. (more…)

David Simon, creator of “The Wire”…. America is a Horror Show….

David Simon, a former police beat reporter in Baltimore, MD and creator of the popular television series, “The Wire” implies that Libertarians in America are “greedy” and decries Libertarianism as a “juvenile” idea that he “just can’t get past….”

David Simon pontificates about “Libertarianism” with deliberate misdirection and disparaging ad hominems, yet still expects to be taken seriously by anyone with the ability to think critically.

Clearly upset that Fabian ideology is not taking root in the 20-somethings community, while the Libertarian movement is growing as an identified political affiliation in the cohort,  he gave a speech in Australia in November, 2013 at the “Dangerous Ideas” conference declaring “Libertarianism in my country is now being taken seriously as an intelligent mode of political thought… it’s astonishing to me… ” (around the 8:00 – 10:00 mark) and then goes on a screed to deliberately disparage and attempt to dismiss the Libertarian school of thought – including the assertion that Libertarians are “anti-government” (as Moyers chuckles along in agreement…)  Fraidy cat!

I Am Brainstorming Some Kentucky Billboards….. Wanna Help?

Will be outlining some particulars tomorrow about a specific Treehouse movement / objective in Kentucky.    We have been conversing with some young and energetic boots on the blue-grass ground and much organization is still to be worked out.

However, I am in discussions to blitz a message in March and April.   The theme is:

“Smidgens of Kentucky Unite”

The sub message is:

“DITCH MITCH”

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with quick catch phrases around the *PRIMARY Theme* “Smidgens of Kentucky Unite”; which can/will be expanded to “Smidgens of America Unite” for 2014 primaries beyond Kentucky.

Conceptually using the negative emotion toward the IRS, the negative emotion toward dismissiveness, and reinforcing a righteous outrage. (more…)

The Weaponization Of Government – Unbelievable Congressional Testimony on IRS Targeting

[HatTip GatewayPundit for some particulars] – I hope EVERYONE watches the accompanying videos.  It is imperative that EVERYONE understands the full-throated attack currently underway by our own government.   Only by fully understanding the scope of the issue can you fully absorb the danger in front of us.

IRS2The testimony today on capitol hill was blood boiling to say the least. During hearings about IRS targeting of conservative groups, which unlike President Obama’s claim appears fraught with political scandal, some of the victims began to lay out the details of the attacks they have endured.

One of those victims is Mrs. Catherine Engelbrecht. Catherine Eghelbrecht is a conservative activist, Tea Party member and founder of True the Vote. Mrs. Engelbrecht, outlined how she has been the specific target of FOUR federal agencies (The FBI, IRS, ATF and OSHA) along with one Texas State agency (EPA).

Prior to her founding of True The Vote, as a simple business person, she was never on the federal radar. However, as soon as she engaged in advocacy for her beliefs she was targeted by the “weaponization of government”. 14 IRS audits of personal and business finances, 4 times visited by the FBI as a ‘domestic risk’, 3 times visited by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and two audits by The Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Conduct Unbecoming – Senator John McCain Explodes In Angry Tirade During Meeting With Syrian Christian Leaders After They Detail Atrocities Carried Out By His Rebel Allies….

Previously John McCain was angered when it was pointed out “his people” (the rebels in Syria) were actual kidnappers.   Now he embarrasses himself to the extent Lindsey Graham needs to apologize for McCain’s angry and petulant behavior.

John McCain - Lord Of The TarpWASHINGTON DC – Hell-bent on arming opposition forces in Syria—despite strong evidence that they’re run by Islamic terrorists—John McCain displayed behavior unbecoming of a United States Senator during a recent meeting with Syrian Christian leaders touring Capitol Hill.

The delegation of Syrian clergy came to Washington to raise awareness among lawmakers of the growing crisis among the region’s minority Christian community. Christians make up about 10% of the Syrian population and they are being targeted and ruthlessly murdered by radical elements of the rebel forces, according to the visiting church officials. They say the media and human rights groups in the west have been largely silent on the ordeal of the Christians in Syria. (more…)

Ditch Mitch – New Kentucky Poll Shows Trouble For Mitch McConnell

McConnell and BoehnerA new Rasmussen poll shows McConnell stuck in a 42% to 42% tie with Alison Lundergan Grimes (D-KY).

This is an extremely weak position for a Republican in Kentucky who is universally known, and it’s not likely to improve. More money has already been spent in favor of McConnell and against Grimes yet McConnell remains frozen in the low 40s.

This is exactly why we have been calling on him to retire for over a year.

If Mitch McConnell is the Republican nominee, he will lose the general election and cost Republicans the seat.

McConnell will also force the party to spend millions trying to save him — money that could otherwise be spent winning seats in other states. (more…)

another indicator that “ordinary Americans” craved someone.. – Ted Cruz Amasses $4+ Million Fundraising…

Outside the DC beltway bubble I guess taxpayers are now “ordinary Americans”.  That would make the non-taxpayer(s), non-ordinary Americans.   Strange world we live in where the majority views have to be quantified, or defined so, as to reach beyond the propaganda…..

Note to DC and liberals:    WE OUTNUMBER YOU !

Ted Cruz Value Voters Summit(Via Breitbart)  Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) announced Friday that throughout 2013 his three campaign arms raised $4.16 million.

Cruz made the massive haul over 2013 through his re-election committee, Ted Cruz for Senate, his joint fundraising committee, Ted Cruz Victory Committee, and his leadership PAC, the Jobs, Growth & Freedom Fund.

About $1.5 million of this fundraising happened in the fourth quarter of 2013. This began during the government shutdown caused by Democrats’ and President Obama’s refusal to compromise on Obamacare after Cruz’s stand, with Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) at his side, against the unpopular healthcare law. Conventional wisdom inside the beltway was that Americans disapproved of Cruz’s and Lee’s tactics, but these fundraising details are yet another indicator that ordinary Americans craved someone who would stand up against Obamacare on their behalf.   (read more)
