Let me begin by letting you know who else is on this call, besides Ann and me. There are a large number of people who signed on to be leaders of our 2016 finance effort. In addition, state political leadership from several of the early primary states are on the line. And here in New York City, and on the phone, are people who have been helping me think through how to build a new team, as well as supporters from the past who have all been kind enough to volunteer their time during this deliberation stage. Welcome, and thank you. Your loyalty and friendship, and your desire to see the country with new, competent and conservative leadership warms my heart.
After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee. (more…)

According to Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings, Hillary Clinton is eager to present herself for testimony to the Congressional Select Benghazi Committee. Obviously the Democrats  would prefer it to be ASAP -and- we predict within a few weeks you will see a shift in strategy which will put Gowdy solidly back on his heels and marginalize his position.
According to Trey Gowdy the State Department is hiding documents and blocking witness testimony – which he demands prior to interviewing Hillary Clinton.  The Democrats scoff at his claims saying bazillions of pages, hearings, testimonials, and documents have been provided.  Cummings is playing Chess, Gowdy is playing checkers.
The White House, the State Department, and the Democrats on the panel have a well-planned strategy to derail any political risk stemming from Benghazi; and even though I know many readers are fans of Gowdy, it appears he is being played like a finely tuned instrument.

My hat is off to the fine people at Rebel Pundit who put the stark reality of this together. Well done.
You see, it ain’t just Chicago – it’s everywhere.
The media are trying to keep people apart to benefit President Obama. Black VS. White; Rich VS. Poor; Men VS Women.. etc. Obama, and his ideological compatriots, want us all in our boxes, cattle cars  – easier to manage that way.   But that time has passed.
Enough.
It ain’t just in Chicago. These folks are talking for ordinary and invisible Americans.

Most interested observers will remember October 2014 when CNN headlines were proclaiming Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson as: “expected to step down”.  When immediately asked about the report Jackson said he had “no idea” where this information was coming from, and held no disposition to leave his job.

Now the details begin to surface of private meetings between all the Democrat political officer holders and “officials” who were -unknown to Tom Jackson- trying to leverage Chief Jackson out of his role.  Those people include:

♦ Missouri Senator, Claire McCaskill;  ♦ Missouri State Attorney General Chris Koster;  ♦ Saint Louis Mayor Francis Slay; ♦ the Mayor’s Chief of Staff, Jeff Rainford; ♦ Missouri House speaker John Diehl; ♦ then-St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley;  ♦ U.S. Congressman William Lacy Clay; ♦ and the man they wanted to replace Tom Jackson, St. Louis County police lieutenant, Troy Doyle. The Nazis Were Socialists, Not Right-Wingers

Why both are presented in the media as “right-wing” when both Nazis and Fascists had socialist roots. Klavan and Whittle wonder whether nazism and fascism might be more similar to today’s progressive movement in the Democratic Party than to modern conservatism. Does President Obama have more in common with Mussolini than Thomas Jefferson? Find out.

I’ve spent some time going back through the post election -yet pre-holiday- white house briefings, and comparing them to recent pre-SOU leaks.
What strikes me as odd is how people are discussing the Obama “Legislative Proposals“, ie. “free college” and “tax the rich”, as if he actually means it. I’m sure people reading this understand that: ♦ the legislative branch passes laws; ♦ the executive branch enforces laws; and ♦ the judicial branch interprets laws.
So why is so much attention being paid to President Obama’s “legislative proposals”?
Why doesn’t everyone in congress just ignore him. Elections have consequences, he lost.
Let President Obama banter on listening to his own voice at yet another grand State of The Union speech, filled with so much rhetoric and nonsense, that no-one can ever remember from year to year. And then ignore it. I certainly hope the “GOP response” which customarily follows the SOU doesn’t give the “legislative proposals” any mention, because there is simply no need to.
Republicans control the House and the Senate chambers with majorities in both legislative houses – they don’t need to engage in a futile discussion about legislation they will never bring forward, so why talk about it. (more…)

Sharyl Attkisson has provided some new information on the closed door Benghazi Select Committee hearings and investigative inquiry.

Including the following from Trey Gowdy:

[…]  “The committee is continuing its probe into all aspects of Benghazi and is currently focused on ensuring access to all first-hand accounts from those on the ground that night. This process will be ongoing and in some respects must remain classified.”–Benghazi Select Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

We took a lot of fire -following the Benghazi Brief– when we explained why this would be the case.  The risks of sunlight are essentially equal to both Republicans -who approved the program(s) basic goals via intelligence oversight- and Democrats alike.
Apparently we were correct.

Four years ago we coined the phrase “Decepticons” to define a contrast between traditional establishment Republicans, and a modern shift to become intentionally deceptive Republicans . 
These Decepticons actually have planning meetings and assemble with a team of likeminded ideologues to construct plans, long-term strategy sessions, containing how they can undermine the basic principles of conservatism.
RINO’s are Republicans who don’t fight against big government, they have always existed.  Decepticons are a newer breed, and infinitely worse. Decepticons are intentional deceivers – they are far more dangerous than RINO’s because they don’t just vote wrong, they intentionally construct schemes in alignment with radical left-wing operatives.
The Decepticons are exposed right now; the constructs of both Boehner and McConnell –that support liberal policies– have more people questioning motive and intent.
Just like long-ball progressives who nudge the big government game along, the Decepticon goal is to deceive the audience.

I agree with everything this guy says about the Republican party and his sentiment, except the date. The date the principled conservative movement actually lost any hope of reforming the Republican party was May 20th 2014.  This is the same exact date that Jeb Bush became the absolute guaranteed GOP candidate for 2016.

Everything between May 20th 2014 and November 8th 2016 is baked into the cake.

No doubt all of this directed by CoC President Tom Donohue. The Republican representatives who did not support Boehner’s anointment to “Speaker” will now be cast to the capitol dungeon, where they will silently sit out the rest of their term.
Boehner and Mitch McConnell can now ¹defend ObamaCare, and ²develop Comprehensive Immigration Reform (amnesty), and ³continue with Common Core. 

John Boehner is getting revenge – After he secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to some relative-unknown members of the Republican Conference, Boehner moved swiftly to boot two of the insurgents from the influential Rules Committee. That could be just the start of payback for the speaker’s betrayers, who might see subcommittee chairmanships and other perks fall away in the coming months.
Boehner’s allies have thirsted for this kind of action from the speaker, who say he’s let people walk all over him for too long and is too nice to people who are eager to stab him in the back. The removal of Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Rich Nugent from Rules was meant as a clear demonstration that what Boehner and other party leaders accepted during the last Congress is no longer acceptable, not with the House’s biggest GOP majority in decades.
