PREDICTION – What you are getting here is the set up to a national gun ownership registry. The shooter in DC Naval Yard, Aaron Alexis, was previously arrested for two separate gun crimes in two separate states. Combined with the PTSD push, this will become the format for the legislation “everyone can agree on”…. The national registry.
SEATTLE (AP) — The man identified as the shooter in the Washington Navy Yard slayings had been arrested in Seattle in 2004 for shooting out the tires of a parked car in what he described as an anger-fueled “black out.”

Two construction workers told police that Aaron Alexis walked out of a home next door on May 6, 2004, pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired three shots into the rear tires of their parked car. Alexis later told police he thought the victims had “disrespected him.”
Court records show he was released on the condition he not have contact with any of the construction workers.
Seattle police said in a statement Monday that detectives later spoke with Alexis’ father, who told police Alexis had anger management problems associated with PTSD, and had participated in rescue attempts on Sept. 11th, 2001. (read more)

(Via Huf Post) One shooter is dead after opening fire Monday morning at the Washington Navy Yard and authorities are investigating the possibility of an additional shooter wearing a military-style uniform, Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier confirmed.
Thirteen people were killed including the shooter, Mayor Vincent Gray announced at a late afternoon press conference. No motive is known at this time.
Multiple news outlets identified Aaron Alexis, 34, as the deceased shooter. Originally of Fort Worth, Texas, Alexis recently began working at the Navy yard as a civilian contractor, NBC reports.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., DC police announced over Twitter that one of two possible additional suspects, a white male in a tan outfit, had been identified and “is not a suspect or person of interest.” (Continue Reading)

…Police say nothing was taken from him [victim] even though they say Jackson had cased the parking lot looking for a victim.
Police say the gunman rode up to Pilotos’s car on a bicycle and pulled out his weapon and shot him. It happened in the parking lot of the supermarket…
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – An Opa-Locka teenager is being held without bond after a court hearing and after Miami-Dade Police arrested him for shooting and killing a 71-year-old man.
As first reported first reported by the blog Random Pixels, Miami-Dade Police have identified the suspect who fatally shot Miguel Pilotos as 17-year-old Jamal Jackson. The chilling crime was captured on surveillance tape at 4 p.m. on August 21st outside the Top Value Supermarket in Opa-Locka.

From what can be gathered within a myriad of media reports is that Sec. Kerry / POTUS have agreed to leave “U.S. threat of force” out of U.N. resolution against Syria for non-compliance. Meaning if Assad does not comply with U.N. mandate to disarm himself of chemical weapons, the U.S. had conceded a strike by us will not be one of the consequences.
Instead, the “stick” per se’, to non-compliance from Syria, would be a return to the U.N. Security Council for a resolution allowing the “use of force”.
D’oh.. Russia can, by structural Security Council set-up, veto any such follow-up proposal.

[judo photo credit] (Via Politico) Journalists emerging from a closed-door briefing at the White House Friday afternoon were informed that President Barack Obama won’t insist that a U.N. resolution governing Syria’s surrender of chemical weapons include a threat of military force if President Bashar Assad doesn’t follow through. The victim of a home invasion in Palmview Saturday asked Action 4 not to show her face on camera. She told us she never wanted to have a gun around the house, but after this ordeal, she’s glad she had protection by her side.
This is how the liberal left works. They hate America, they hate the Military. They are indoctrinated ideologues with nothing of value.
What’s worse is the typical cognitive disconnect always visible in the insufferable mind of the progs. The construct of our military is civilian leadership. The students are protesting against the man who is following the orders of that leadership. Ridiculous. Their emphasis is not only on the wrong syllable, it’s profoundly misplaced.
Due to the graphic nature of the content of this post a substantive backdrop is needed.

A few years ago, against the backdrop of Tunisia ablaze and a visible ember headed to Egypt, we hosted a discussion post about the Middle East.
It is one thing to understand the structural framework for the U.S. Rivkin Project, it is quite another thing to see it actually being implemented. The latter leads those who understand the globalists within the Obama administration to recognize we were about to bear witness to horror.
The formative discussion was based on the context of President Obama’s 2009 Cairo speech where he stated his policy toward Islam in general, and the Middle East in particular.
Within the Obama speech, he proclaimed the approach outlined in the Rivkin Project. He denied the cries of the Iranian Green Party movement for freedom, and he advocated or an “unclenched fist” toward Iran. The Salafists saw the opening.
Those of us who have travelled in the Middle East, and those who have followed Mid-East events, knew immediately how this “open-handed” message would be received by Islamist Ideologues who conflate Political Islam toward Muslim considerations.
Those minority ideologues are the people who would advocate for Islam and Sharia Law implementation, the politicization of Islam, upon a religious Muslim majority.
Those ideologues view moderation as weakness, and they know how to use extremist views toward the West in their favor.
Obama’s weak appearances opened the door, allowing the Islamist ideologues to express years of anger and hatred toward the Zookeepers, Mubarek, Gaddaffi et al, who held a tenuous controlling grip on their behavior and radical intent.
As we discussed the predictable unintended consequences, Zurich Mike provided the exceptional analogy of: [President Obama] Opening the ‘Big Cat’ cages within the greater Zoo that was the Middle East. A more apt and encompassing analogy has never been written.
What has followed from that early 2010 prediction to today, is bearing out right now. We are all witness to the consequences from the “unclenched fist”. First with the crushing of the Iranian Green “Student” Party; Later with the rise of the Salafist Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt; Then the manipulation of the moderate cause in Eastern Libya turning to radical al-Qaeda fighters flooding back from Iraq and Afghanistan; And now to today in Syria.
The content you are about to read is GRAPHIC in the extreme, and I caution you to consider whether or not you want to Bear Witness. But this is, in its purest form, the visible outcome from an academic leftist Western approach exhibited by President Obama, Samantha Powers, Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton.
Again, I caution WHAT FOLLOWS IS GRAPHIC and Unsettling !

(VIA RT) Mother Agnes, a catholic nun, who has been living in Syria for 20 years and has been reporting actively on what has been going on in the war-ravaged country, says she carefully studied the video featuring allegedly victims of the chemical weapons attack in the Syrian village of Guta in August and now questions its authenticity. […]
Mother Agnes: In the village of Estreba they massacred all the residents and burnt down their houses. In the village of al-Khratta almost all the 37 locals were killed. Only ten people were able to escape.
A total of twelve Alawite villages were subjected to this horrendous attack. That was a true slaughterhouse. People were mutilated and beheaded. There is even a video that shows a girl being dismembered alive – alive! – by a frame saw. The final death toll exceeded 400, with 150 to 200 people taken hostage. Later some of the hostages were killed, their deaths filmed.
At the moment we are looking for the hostages and negotiating their release with the militants, but so far we haven’t managed to achieve that. (more…)

This strategic approach should not come as a surprise. Telling Obama to stop hostilities is all part of the Russian/Syrian approach. The international case, which will win in the court of the U.N and public opinion, will be: why should Assad disarm from CW when Obama is funneling in weapons to anti-government forces to destroy Assad?
This simple ‘anti-Obama action message’ is not only practical, but it will also resonate internationally. President Obama will have to stop threats against Syria, pledge no military strikes against Assad, and stop weapons shipments into the country; or Assad will be justified in rebuking the administration demands.
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Syria will fulfil an initiative to hand over its chemical weapons only when the United States stops threatening to strike Syria, RIA news agency quoted President Bashar al-Assad as saying in a television interview.

Assad also said that Damascus will begin handing over information on its chemical weapons stockpiles one month after it joins a anti-chemical weapons convention.
“When we see the United States really wants stability in our region and stops threatening, striving to attack, and also ceases arms deliveries to terrorists, then we will believe that the necessary processes can be finalized,” he was quoted as saying in an interview with Russian state television. I’m no fan of this guy, nor do I support the burning of religious books in general, but I defend his right to do it. If he were headed to a flag burning no-one would be bothering him. The police approach toward stopping him from expressing his constitutional right, with a protected first amendment protest, is just wrong.

Law enforcement was obviously just looking for a reason to be able to stop him. That should send a shiver through every patriotic American. “PissChrist” (a crucifixion contained in a framed glass display of urine) is considered high art by the leftists and progs. Treading on a flag as displayed by an elementary school teacher is considered acceptable by the leftists and progs.
Yet threaten to burn a Koran, upset the Muslim sensibilities, and law enforcement will take any approach to stop it. This double-standard is just insufferably wrong.
FLORIDA – Florida officials have arrested radical anti-Islam preacher Terry Jones as he was on his way to a Sept. 11 event where he planned to burn 2,998 Korans, according to local news reports Wednesday. (more…)
