Jim Hoft has a great post up at GateWayPundit about exposing the strategy of the DSCC (Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee).    In essence this outlines EXACTLY what we said last week they were going to do – it’s just how they roll.

It’s important to note these are not campaign PAC’s, or merely affiliate entities of the Democrat party, like Think Progress or Media Matters et al.   These are the ACTUAL and OFFICIAL statements from the Democrat Party itself.

The Progs are seriously distraught about how the scandals of using official political power to attack the conservative movement is actually creating a backlash.   More people now are openly understanding how Conservatives have been, and continue to be, targeted, in an official capacity, by the Administration of President Obama.

Previously, the left-of-center crowd (ie blue dogs) thought these Tea Party claims were merely “tin foil hat” type of conspiracy theory.   Now the Independents, and moderate Democrats are realizing it’s not wild conspiracy, it’s true.

(DAILY MAIL) A former Philadelphia police officer once  hailed as a hero and given a seat next to the first lady at a speech by  President Obama has been arrested and charged with rape and other  crimes.

Authorities allege that former officer  Richard DeCoatsworth left a party with two women early Thursday and took them to  another location, where they claim that he produced a handgun and ‘forced the  two females to engage in the use of narcotics and sexual acts.’

A police spokeswoman said the two called  police after he left, and 27-year-old DeCoatsworth was charged with rape, sexual  assault, terroristic threats and related offenses.

DeCoatsworth was hailed as a hero after he  was shot in the face during a traffic stop in September 2007 but still managed  to chase after his attacker, who was later sentenced to 36 to 72 years in  prison. (more…)

“As if” there was any doubt the liberal media consider themselves fully ideologically aligned with President Obama, and insufferably reflects a favorable bias in all things Obama, just watch what Lisa Myers says:

Then comes the IRS which offended the right, the middle, and even some Democrats and members of the press. But when they did this [the AP spying], they turned one of the President’s most important constituencies, the press and the left against him. So politically, it’s hard to imagine –and this is a very calculating White House– it’s hard to imagine that they would have green-lighted this kind of thing. I think it’s more likely that this was something that was handled within the Justice Department and that if the White House was notified, it was after the fact and not before the action was taken. This has all the indicators of reaching the West Wing. Prior Democrats in Congress had espoused the IRS *should* take this approach. With such blatant admissions in 2010, and even 2011 after they lost the House they continued the approach, this is going to be VERY difficult for the administration to firewall.

GOOD GRIEF – Unbelievable stuff from that questioning session today in congress.

Attorney General, Eric Holder, claims he recused himself from the decision making surrounding the wiretapping of more than 100 Associated Press reporters and 20+ phone lines.   However, he states we need to take his word for it because there is nothing documented which provides support for his self-recusal claim.

Not only that, he claims he doesn’t even know “WHEN” he recused himself, and further states he never notified anyone of the recusal itself – nor did he notify the White House. (more…)

UPDATE: No Questions, will hold press conference tomorrow (with Turkish delegation) and take questions then.   IRS Commissioner Steven Steven Miller (pictured below) resigned effective TODAY.   Three main points emphasized:

“the IRS has to operate with absolute integrity” – Barack Obama

1.  We are going to hold the responsible parties accountable.  –  The acting commissioner of the IRS, Steven Miller, has resigned effective today.

2.  We will put in place new safeguards to insure it doesn’t happen again.  – I told Jack Lew to make that happen and implement the IG recommendations.  Also, Lew will work with Holder who will launch an internal DOJ investigation.

3.  We will work with congress as it performs its oversight control.   I’ll do all I can to insure this does not happen again.   We need to look at the laws to insure that no ambiguity exists.

House Speaker John A. Boehner said Wednesday that it’ll take more than firings to clear up the IRS scandal — it’ll take someone ending up serving jail time.

“My question is, who’s going to jail over this scandal?”  the Ohio Republican said at a press conference with Republicans Wednesday morning. (link)

Update 2:  The White House Reponds –  (Politico) — The White House has “no knowledge” of the Justice Department’s efforts to obtain phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors, press secretary Jay Carney said Monday.

“Other than press reports, we have no knowledge of any attempt by the Justice Department to seek phone records of the AP,” he said in a statement.  (link)

Update 1 :  Eric Holder personally approved of wiretapping reporters – On Monday afternoon, the Associated Press reported that the U.S. Department of Justice had “secretly obtained two months of telephone records” from 20 phone lines assigned to reporters and editors from the global news organization. The shocking revelation comes on top of news that the IRS targeted conservative groups for special scrutiny. It will be harder for President Obama to pin the DOJ’s action on lower level bureaucrats, however, because requests to subpoena news organization records require the approval of Attorney General Eric Holder.  (link)
