As if on cue.  I swear we didn’t know this was going to be in the Swamp Media Newsletter when we earlier wrote about Trump’s anticipated budget battle with the UniParty…
Apparently the GOPe has had enough of this hiding behind the guise of supporting Trump.  We know this specifically because the Corinthian Chair sitting GOPe “Decepticons” never trot out Thad Cochran unless -and until- Mitch McConnell pulls him out of the closet for a purpose.
For those who don’t know, Senator Thad Cochran is, well, to put it nicely, cognitively impaired. As such, McConnell keeps him tucked away, and hidden from the media, like the non-viable character from Weekend at Bernie’s.  When sighted, it’s almost always from behind, and it’s usually Orrin Hatch and Mitch McConnell carrying him around.
Every once in a while someone might see Thad’s nurse wheeling him around near the cloakroom and changing his bib, but generally speaking ol’ Thad is just a name on a brass plaque,… on a mahogany door,… leading to an empty office.
Senator Cochran spends his days at home in DC looking out the window, and when not dozing he mutters to the pretty pancakes and watches the garden gnomes twerking. Originally elected in 1978, Mississippi’s oldest legislator is a ghost-senator who McConnell et al [Big Club] use to keep a box open on their side of the ledger.

The federal fiscal year runs from October 1st to September 3oth annually. The Budget and Accounting Act of 1921 requires the President to submit his budget request for the upcoming fiscal year no later than the first Monday of February.
However, in the first year of the first term of each administration – congress waives the statutory deadline because so much of the election and campaign is structured around fiscal budget and tax policy.  The waiver gives the incoming administration time to construct their budget after the inauguration.  Historic reference:

To understand the activity within any intelligence action any observer must do two things:

• #1 You must stay elevated. If you try to get into the weeds you will be lost because your insight will be lacking specificity briefs.
• #2 You must always reflect upon the recent historic context of the engagement you are observing. Including, most importantly, the engagements of the parties therein.

The recent example of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Mike Pompeo traveling to Saudi Arabia last weekend, at the request of President Donald Trump, to personally present Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef with an award named after former CIA director George Tenet, is an example of the need for this approach.

If you want to understand what’s going on, you must understand the recent relationship of the parties.  It begins with understanding modern political Islam.
Within “political Islam” there are various factions. However, again with the intent to remain elevated, let us just approach two larger congregations as: “Authentic supporters” and “Reform Agents”. (more…)

All I ever needed to know about this entire Michael Flynn Rubber Tire is abundantly evident in the following CNN paragraph(s):

CNN – The Justice Department warned the Trump administration last month that Michael Flynn misled administration officials regarding his communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States and was potentially vulnerable to blackmail by the Russians, a person familiar with the matter told CNN
[…]  The message was delivered by then-Acting Attorney General Sally Yates. Other top intelligence officials, including James Clapper and John Brennan, were in agreement the White House should be alerted about the concerns.

Which also explains why The Washington Post was the originating source of the ‘controversy’/’fiasco’.  As previously stated numerous times, The Washington Post is the official leak-outlet for the political arm of the CIA.  And the most politicized of all agents ever inside the CIA was John Brennan – a black hat extraordinaire.
So, swamp reviewers can begin to see how this Rubber Tire was constructed.

WASHINGTON – The Senate voted Monday evening to confirm Steven Mnuchin, a former investor, banker and Trump campaign official, to be the 77th secretary of the treasury. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., was the only Democrat to vote with Republicans, and the nominee was confirmed 53-47.

Confirmation means that Mnuchin will be in a position to help carry out Trump’s ambitious agenda for cutting tax rates, lessening financial regulation and revamping trade agreements.
The treasury secretary is the top economic post in an administration, and Mnuchin’s swearing-in will go a long way toward filling out Trump’s understaffed Cabinet and, potentially, facilitating the president’s legislative agenda.  (read more)
