Thoughts on Eric Garner and The Shift To The "Bigger Picture"…

They want you angry, they want you very angry.  It’s emotion that drives the collective; it’s emotion that drives the mob; it’s emotion that drives democracy to totalitarianism.
The Anger Games
There’s a reason the founding fathers of the U.S. Republic promised a “republican form of government“, a constitutional republic and not a democracy.
A Republic is ruled by principles of law, and as a consequence it is a representative process of considerable debate and deliberative conversation.
A Democracy is ruled by majority, by emotion.  Debate is not considered – the arguments are short and quick – the rules quickly assembled without lengthy forethought toward consequence.  (If that sounds like ObamaCare, it’s not coincidental) (more…)

BREAKING – Grand Jury Determines "No Indictment" In NYPD Eric Garner Case

No doubt the professionally aggrieved will use this decision as another opportunity for more shouting, looting and riots.  Yes, here we go again.

The biggest problem in the Garner case was the media’s incessant focus on a supposed “choke hold”.  The video clearly shows the very large uncooperative male would not comply with instructions.  The police officer held few options, and the choke hold itself lasted only a few seconds.  Also, FWIW the “chokehold” is not illegal, just against policy. The media invested so much of their effort on the choke hold they are shocked at the outcome.
(Huffington Post) – A grand jury voted Wednesday not to indict New York City police officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner, multiple sources confirm.

Pantaleo put 47-year-old Garner into a chokehold during an arrest for selling untaxed cigarettes on July 17. In a viral video of the arrest, Garner can be seen screaming “I can’t breathe!” multiple times until his body goes limp. A medical examiner later ruled his death a homicide. (more…)

The Pretorian Guard Media Reflect The Insanity Of Their Obama Worship In Coverage of Staffer’s Comments on Obama’s Daughters…

Seven video’s of ObamaCare architect calling the American Electorate “stupid”, and the Pretorian Guard media ignore.  One comment by an obscure beltway staffer about Obama’s daughters ‘tude and dress, and the same media go nuclear.  The media quickly dispatching satellite trucks, camped out in front of the staffer’s family home, and launching a full throated Washington Post opposition research operation – the results leading the ABC, CBS and NBC news broadcasts for two days and counting…
gop 2(Via Washington Free Beacon) Five days after Elizabeth Lauten published a Facebook post criticizing the outfits worn by President Barack Obama’s daughters, the previously obscure Republican Hill staffer is being inundated with threatening messages and major media outlets are pouring resources into tracking her moves and digging into her past.
Two network news vans camped outside of Lauten’s parents home in North Carolina on Tuesday, one day after she resigned as communication director for Rep. Steven Fincher (R., Tenn.) due to the controversy. Lauten was not at the house.
That morning, the Washington Post also assigned one of its foreign affairs correspondents to comb through an archive of columns Lauten wrote for her college newspaper in 2006 and 2007. The investigation found that Lauten had supported intervention in Darfur, criticized Facebook as an invasion of privacy, and warned people against “making race an issue.” (more…)
