Massachusetts Police State: 24-year-old college student arrested for possession of two 30 round magazines – Faces 10 Years Imprisonment ! Meanwhile Storm Troopers Raid Yale Campus on "Rumor"….

The UMass Student’s Dad called a local gun shop, North Shore Firearms, to ask about legal purchase of a silencer.  The store clerk called the cops – it goes downhill fast from there.
Mokad's seized property. (Source: Methuen Police Department / Facebook)A University of Massachusetts student has been arrested for owning two 30 round rifle magazines. He is being charged with a major felony under a new Massachusetts anti-gun law and faces ten years in prison. He is also being charged with a crime for not having his guns locked in a safe.
Large capacity magazines that hold more than ten rounds, and were manufactured after 1994, are illegal under the new Massachusetts law.  However, there is no way to determine date of magazine manufacture because the metal magazines are not date stamped.
The Methuen Police Department raided his apartment. According to Chief Joe Solomon the raid was based on “a tip.” The police department posted pictures of three completely legal and lawfully owned firearms on their official Facebook page. The department seemed to be falsely insinuating that firearms are already illegal in the state. (more…)

Bitter Clingers Revolt – Pennsylvania Mayor Kicked Out of Office For Signing Up City to Support Bloomberg Gun Ban Initiative….

The real irony is this is the exact same part of Pennsylvania Candidate Obama was talking about when he made his famous “gun-toting, bitter bible clingers” remark.
gun controlPENNSYLVANIA – Chambersburg, PA residents voted Mayor Pete Lagiovane (D) out of office on November 5th after he signed up to be part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG).
According to Salena Zito on RealClearPolitics.com, the anti-gun influence of Bloomberg made Chambersburg hunters and gun owners feel like they were under attack. And the combination of Bloomberg and “Washington [trying to regulate] gun ownership with more background checks” caused Chambersburg residents “to react in the only respectful way they know: [by voting] out of office those who are infringing on their way of life.”
Mayor-elect Darren Brown (R) says that once he is sworn into office in January 2014, “the very, very first thing [he’d] like to do is get Chambersburg off the [MAIG] list.” (more…)

Two Stories, Same Approach, One Ideology – John Kerry Tells Congress If They Oppose White House "Deal" With Iran It Will Lead To War – And The Animal Activist Who Killed Puppies….

Two, not-so-dissimilar stories.   To a semi-engaged electorate these might seem unrelated.   To a Lo-Fo  it’s “huh”?   But to others the visible “Big Picture” ideology is self-evident:  My way or DIE.
a-OBAMAIRAN-386x217John Kerry, and White House Spokesperson Jay Carney, warns congress if they oppose a deal with Iran it will lead to WAR.
Vis-a-vi if you don’t agree with our decision to allow Iran to engage in nuclear production, our only option is to ATTACK them to stop it:
WASHINGTON DC – The White House Tuesday warned lawmakers mulling tougher sanctions on Iran that thwarting US diplomacy could leave President Barack Obama little option but to use military force against Tehran’s nuclear program.
“The American people do not want a march to war,” spokesman Jay Carney said, in a significant stiffening of US rhetoric towards opponents of a proposed interim agreement with Tehran on Capitol Hill.  (read more)

Sanity Prevails: Attempted Repeal Of FL 'Stand Your Ground' Law Fails Miserably – Committee Vote 11-2 In Favor of Rejecting Repeal

LetJusticePrevail shares: […]  For anyone interested, this link provides access to the full video of the FL Criminal Justice Subcommittee hearing yesterday that listened to debate on HB 4003 that called for the repeal of the FL Stand Your Ground law.
Jamal Bryant with Scheme TeamThe hearing (and video) was FIVE HOURS long, and it may not be something you want to watch, so here’s the long and short of it:
The committee rejected the bill by a vote of 11-2, (voting FOR the repeal were Dems Randolph Bracy and Kionne McGhee) and the SYG law WILL remain in place. The other bill (HB 89) that addresses proposed changes to the SYG law (but not repeal)and the 10-20-life sentencing guidelines was approved by a vote of 12-1 and will be sent to the general legislature.(only McGhee opposed HB 89, on the argument that it was an “exception to an exception to an exception to an exception and that there were better ways to address the issue of mandatory sentences in of aggravated assault, rather than including them under the umbrella of immunity as provided under statute 776).
So, the repeal of FL’s SYG law died in subcommittee, and the bill that would EXPAND  immunity to include cases where the mere THREAT of force was used in cases of self defense PASSED to be heard by the legislature. These were BOTH victories for FL citizens, and their rights to defend themselves. (more…)

WOW – Veteran Mom Banned From Daughters School Because She Owns A Concealed Weapons Permit….

Good Grief.    This is just way over-the-top nuts.     The school principal bans a parent from daughter’s campus because the parent holds a concealed weapons permit.  The Principal found out through Facebook.   When the media asks the principal if that is the reason, she readily admits it.  And anti-gun nuts wonder why their views are so out of touch…..
TANYA MOUNTGEORGIA – An Army veteran living in Georgia says she wants an apology from her daughter’s former school after being banned from the building for posting a photo of her concealed weapons permit to her Facebook page, WRDW.com reports.
Tanya Mount says she was approached by a police officer from the Richmond County Board of Education at McBean Elementary School and was warned that she was about to get a criminal trespass warning.
The officer told her that the principal at the school was “scared” of her and did not want her on the school property, she told the station. (more…)

Not Their Time – Powerful Video In McDonalds Shooting….

I saw this on TV a few days ago and it really is quite incredible. A guy walks into a McDonalds intent on a mass shooting. He pulls the trigger five times trying to shoot people, nothing happens. He walks outside and fires into the air, no problem. So he walks back into the McDonalds and tries again to kill people; pulls the trigger another three times, and nothing happens. Then he walks back outside and the next two trigger pulls work as he shoots a car twice.
God was watching over those people in the McDonalds.
a-prayer-for-times-like-theseTEXAS – When Jestin Anthony Joseph walked into a McDonald’s and asked for a cup of water, that’s not all he was after.
Witnesses say the 24-year-old soon pulled out a gun and pointed it at employees and customers — who were with children — demanding their possessions.
Fort Worth police say surveillance video shows Joseph pulling the trigger at least five times while pointing it at individuals inside the restaurant — but the gun wouldn’t fire.
At least one man tried to wrestle the gun away from Joseph, who then went outside and fired a shot into the air, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram says. (more…)

Secretary Kerry, at the request, advice and consent of President Obama, has signed the United States up for the U.N arms treaty.

Defying warnings from the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John F. Kerry signed the United Nations Small Arms Trade Treaty Sept. 25 at the UN headquarters in New York City  (link)

The Fundamental Need For Oversight

Cheryl Peek and Angela Corey
The Supreme Court, responding to numerous lawsuits brought about by harmed citizens, has affirmed -at the behest of all law enforcement communities- that the police have no “affirmative duty -or- responsibility” to protect any individual citizen from harm.
Quite simply, Law Enforcement is only statutorily bound to enforce laws; and/or respond to violations of law *after* an incident has occurred.
The absence of an affirmative duty to intervene prior to criminal conduct gives rise to the common concept of self defense.
It is our right to self-protection, in conjunction with our right to form associative arrangements, which gives rise to our right to form internal security agencies such as the police.
This is an essential part of the social contract with law enforcement.
However, contained within that right is the right to oversight of those agencies, and the right to alter or abolish them if they become destructive or oppressive.
This oversight is just as central, if not more so, as the establishment itself.
A fundamental unwavering principle behind the construct of internal security agencies which we create, permit and accept, is the duty to oversee such agencies within the formation of our Constitutional Republic.
