Elizabeth "Liawatha" Warren Holding More Sway Than President Stompy Feet in Trade Deal…

Democrats, led by Senator Elizabeth Warren, handed Obama a stinging defeat Tuesday afternoon when a procedural motion to proceed with the President’s trade bill, “Fast Track”, failed to get the 60 votes necessary to pass.  Only one Democrat, Sen. Tom Carper (Del.), voted for it.

WASHINGTON DC – […]  Fast-track is a top legislative priority for the White House, but it has run into significant Senate opposition that has been led by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).
It faces even more opposition from Democrats in the House, and the surprise Senate failure will raise doubts about whether the legislation will make its way through Congress.
Labor unions and other left-leaning groups have declared war on the fast-track bill, which they argue would ship jobs overseas. The Senate is generally a more pro-trade body than the House, and it has been easier to move trade agreements through the upper chamber.

Baltimore City Received $1.8 Billion In Federal Stimulus Money….

In a city of 600,000 residents, that would be $3,000 per person.
(Via WFB) The city of Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack Obama’s stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention.

President Obama claimed last Tuesday that if the Republican-controlled Congress would implement his policies to make “massive investments in urban communities,” they could “make a difference right now” in the city, currently in upheaval following the death of Freddie Gray.
However, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found that the Obama administration and Democratically-controlled Congress did make a “massive” investment into Baltimore, appropriating $1,831,768,487 though the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly known as the stimulus. (more…)

New York Times Busted Making False Claims About Wisc. ED Layoffs – Blames Scott Walker Reform Efforts, But Scott Walker Was Not Governor At Time…

Given the latest series of hit pieces coming from the liberal media, it’s obvious who they fear and who they support. Scott Walker comes under fire from the Washington Post, New York Times and CNN. Meanwhile Jeb Bush is praised.
i-stand-with-walkerHowever, the latest New York Times ‘hit piece’ is a construct of intentionally false information as the Weekly Standard points out:

NYT […] “All of that came as a distinct surprise to Claudia Felske, a member of the faculty at East Troy High School who actually was named a Wisconsin Teacher of the Year in 2010. In a phone interview, Felske said she still remembers when she got the news at a “surprise pep assembly at my school.” As well as the fact that those layoffs happened because Walker cut state aid to education“…. Newark High School Teacher Threatens Kids – Union and Administration Ignore, Give Reprimand…

Can you imagine the outrage if this was a kid in school, or worse, a conservative.  Swat Teams would have surrounded the house – and conducted a no-knock raid.. It’s the ridiculous double standard that irks me.
bad teacherCalifornia – On her Twitter feed, a Newark Memorial High School teacher described in explicit terms her desires for her students. She wanted to pour coffee on them. She wanted to stab them. Some of them, she said, “make my trigger finger itchy.”
Alerted by one of her colleagues to the tweets — which are laced with profanity and racist remarks — the district disciplined teacher Krista Hodges with a written reprimand, and she continues to teach.
Hodges has apologized, saying she meant none of it seriously. But some in the school community are stunned by the turn of events, given the alarming sentiments the teacher expressed. […]
In an interview with this newspaper, Hodges conceded she handled herself “unprofessionally.”
But, she said, “Everyone knows I’m one of the most liked teachers on campus. And that’s because I form meaningful and long-lasting relationships with my students.”  (read more)

Report: Democrats To Use Thad Cochran's Mississippi Strategy In all 50 States – To Avoid Mid-Term Losses…

According to this report highlighted in The Hill Democrats are planning to use “race” as a weapon in all of their mid-term races.    This tactic was recently used in Mississippi, ironically by the GOP, with much success.  Hence it has caught the attention of the Democrats as an effective method to avoid electoral defeats.
Essentially, Democrats will use a national strategy to say if the “GOP” member wins in any house or Senate race, then black people will have their Food Stamps, or Medicaid, or benefits removed.
Jesse Jackson - Corrine BrownVarious DNC instructions will be to make it personal and specifically targeted to the individuals in the race.   This, Democrats hope, will bring an influx of minority voters to polls and stave off electoral defeats.   After all, it did work successfully for Thad Cochran in Mississippi.
Democrats are injecting race into the 2014 midterm elections amid fears that a drop-off in minority voters could severely cost them at the polls this fall.
WASHINGTON DC –RACISM AS A STRATEGY” – Democratic leaders in Congress and administration officials have suggested GOP opposition to policies ranging from immigration reform to ObamaCare are, at least partly, motivated by race.
More broadly, they’ve suggested conservative Tea Party criticism of President Obama is based on the fact that he is black.
Democrats reject charges that the rhetoric is a concerted political calculation on their part as they try to retain their Senate majority and make gains in the House. (more…)

Former DOJ Head and Current Labor Secretary, Tom Perez, Says He Wants To "Punch Republicans In The Head"…

The irony of this statement by Tom Perez is not lost on us.   You see, Tom Perez used to be the head of the Community Relations Service (CRS) within the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.

Tom perez and Eric HolderTom-Perez-550x395

We have stated for several years the CRS is filled with intensely angry leadership who advocate for aggressive, often violent, racial confrontations.   To see the former head of the DOJ Anger Army proclaiming his desire for violence against Republicans is, well, just typical.

WASHINGTON — When members of Congress suggest unemployed Americans aren’t trying hard enough to get jobs, U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez gets mad.
When I hear people on Capitol Hill say the long-term unemployed are unemployed by choice, I wanna punch ‘em,” Perez said Tuesday during a meeting with reporters. […]

If It Fits, It Ships – But They Didn't Say Anything About "Delivery": Alabama U.S. Postal Worker Takes A Divergent Approach To Delivery…

The USPS has a new slogan about shipping: “if it fits, it ships, for one fixed low rate” but -to be fair- technically they don’t actually promise the ‘delivery‘ part.
*NOTE* If you are watching this from Alabama, and you are waiting on a delivery of something, y’all might just need a Snickers bar.

RELATED:  7/7/14 – The Postal Regulatory Commission’s report says that 78.4 percent of USPS’s customers – either from households or small- to medium-sized businesses – said they were either very or mostly satisfied with the agency’s service.
USPS had been shooting for an 82.5 percent satisfaction rating. The agency conducts its own surveys to gauge customer approval that also include larger businesses. But those bigger companies were not included in the Postal Service’s overall satisfaction score.
The regulator’s report comes shortly after the Postal Service announced that it would shutter as many as another 82 mail processing centers starting early next year. (read more)
