CBS News has learned that multiple new whistleblowers are privately speaking to investigators with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya.

The nature of the communications with the whistleblowers and their identities are not being made public at this time. But in response, the Oversight Committee yesterday sent letters to the three federal agencies involved: the CIA, the Defense Department and the State Department.

The letters make the case for the whistleblowers to be able to share sensitive or classified information with their own attorneys, and ask for each agency’s official description of the legal steps that process must follow. The letters also state that additional witnesses may be “compelled by subpoena to give testimony.”  (link to CBS continued reporting)

[Hat Tip WeaselZippers]    WASHINGTON DC – Mark Kelly, the husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), is threatening to back an election challenge against Sen. Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks.

At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Tuesday, Kelly said he would back an opponent to Flake if the “right candidate” was available and if the senator failed to support a background check bill, according to reports.

Flake, who is not up for reelection until 2018, has been close to Kelly and Giffords. But Kelly said the issue of control trumped their ties. (more…)

WASHINGTON – The Senate will vote Wednesday afternoon on what could be the biggest change in U.S. gun laws in nearly two years.

Senators will take up the bipartisan proposal from Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) to expand background checks on firearm purchases and close the so-called gun show loophole at 4 p.m.

It will require 60 votes to pass, and the White House and Democrats still lack the final votes they need. (more…)

Yesterday I said it would be before the end of the day today that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) would start the mantra about the Boston Bombing being the work of right-wing domestic terrorists.

Piers Morgan just had Mark Potoc of the SPLC who made the case for “right-wing” anti government domestic terrorists because of “Liberty Day”…..  “Tax Day”….. and the closeness of the April 15th bombing to the anniversary of Waco and Oklahoma City.

The SPLC will use any and all opportunities to sell their cultural marxism, and progressive agenda, and will wildly label everyone else as racist, extremist, etc.

Philadelphia, PA, April 16, 2013 – The fifth week of Kermit Gosnell’s capital murder trial resumed Monday with graphic testimony from Dr. Sam Gulino, Chief Medical Examiner for the City of Philadelphia, who discussed his examination of the remains of 47 fetuses seized by law enforcement authorities from his “House of Horrors” abortion clinic. Dr. Gulino testified that this case was unprecedented and he could not find a colleague who had ever dealt with a case involving frozen fetal remains of this nature.

For the first time, photos of Karnamaya Mongar’s dead baby were shown to the jury. Mongar died from an overdose of Demerol during a second trimester abortion done by Gosnell. (more…)

Sergeant Lourdes Hodges was the person who opened the “Supplemental report” on the Dashboard of Detective Hadley after he completed sending the information requested to Sanford Sgt. Randy Smith.   Hadley sent Smith an 8 page report on Trayvon Martin from a Criminal Mischief complaint filed by School Resource Officer Darryl Dunn.

However, at the behest and instruction of Police Chief Hurley, the Mischief Complaint was only part of the behavioral issue from that day. The second aspect from the incident was Trayvon’s backpack containing stolen jewelry and a burglary tool. This part of the incident was intentionally mislabeled, and misreported, by SRO Dunn to eliminate the need for a criminal investigation. (more…)

Listening to current gun control framed through victim suffering; Listening to abortion rights framed around a desire not to burden daughters;  Listening to progressives of all sorts pontificating about food bans, soda bans, slurpee bans;  All under the auspices of caring for children is, well, annoying.

But watching MTV and seeing Jamie “Obama is our Lord and Savior” Foxx heralded on stage while wearing a T-Shirt of Trayvon Martin, and proclaiming a desire for “justice” is just, well, too much.

Jamie Foxx doesn’t give a damn about black boys, or any boys or girls, for that matter.  If he did he would be in Miami-Dade Florida asking the Miami-Dade School Police Department why they never took responsibility to “protect and serve” both Trayvon, and the greater community in which he lived. A Daily Beast writer admits she didn’t write about Gosnell because she’s pro-death and didn’t want to hurt the slaughter industry. But what is more interesting – she writes “as if” this would be a big surprise and she’s telling a big secret. Oh, how the all intellectual progs think we slopeheads just cannot keep up – they’re way to slick to us…..

The truth is that most of us tend to be less interested in sick-making stories—if the sick-making was done by “our side.”

WASHINGTON DC – There is only one certainty surrounding the terrorist attack that occurred in Benghazi, Libya last September 11th: seven months later, the American people and the families of the victims and wounded still do not know all the facts and specifics that resulted in the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other American heroes. However, I am cautiously optimistic that momentum is building this week in the quest for the truth.

In separate letters to Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, the groups Special Operations Speaks and Operational Security (OpSec), along with 700 retired military special operations personnel, urged support for House Resolution 36 which is being sponsored by senior Republican Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA). House Resolution 36, if passed, would create a select congressional committee to thoroughly investigate the terrorist attacks in Benghazi and what the Obama Administration did and didn’t do. (more…)
