Joe Biden just can’t help being Joe Biden.

The vice president doesn’t seem to have the biggest attention span. He’s more of a talker than a listener. And so, at one point during President Obama’s State of the Union speech, Biden suddenly lost his focus, got a big smirk on his face and began conversing with someone in the audience with hand signals. It only lasted a moment, but what a moment. (link)

Ever since Obama took office rumors have been running rampant about the possible seizure of people’s IRA funds…or plainly stated, the government generously helping to manage your retirement savings.  Wait no longer.  Buried towards the end of the following AP report is the following:

… Obama will also announce executive actions on job training, boosting employment opportunities for the long-term unemployed and expanding retirement savings for low- and middle-income Americans.

The retirement savings proposal is geared toward workers whose employers don’t currently offer such plans. The program would allow first-time savers to start building up savings in Treasury bonds that eventually could be converted into traditional IRAs, according to two people who have discussed the proposal with the administration.

Although this isn’t yet the mandatory IRA, it’s certainly a step in that direction.  Remember what they did in Poland?  Don’t worry…I’m sure the government is just trying to protect your retirement account from terrorists.

What these building emphericals actually reinforce is a picture of a gold digger grifted to ideology with only her selfish interests providing the magnet for her compass needle.

(Via Breitbart)  According to Federal Election Commission records, Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis—the feminist icon who exploded onto the national political scene with a pro-abortion filibuster in June—donated to Republican George W. Bush days before becoming a public official.

The records list a $250 donation from Wendy Davis from April 28, 1999 to Bush for President, Inc. Davis listed her occupation as “homemaker” and her address as “Continental Plaza #C-10,” a sector of an office building which legal directory FindLaw.com lists as the office of attorney Jeffry Davis, her husband at the time.

The donation, earmarked for the Republican primary campaign, came two days before Wendy Davis won her first political office—a seat on the Fort Worth city council which she had unsuccessfully ran for in 1996. Jeffry Davis also donated $250 to Bush that day—and listed the exact same address as Wendy Davis. Jeffry Davis’s occupation was listed as “Safeco Tile,” an apparently mistaken reference to the company he owned then, Safeco Title.  (continue reading – Breitbart has the donation forms)

(Via Politico) Sen. John McCain said a censure from Arizona’s Republican Party is “regrettable” but that it will not dissuade him from running for reelection in 2016.

The Republican senator and former presidential candidate said that the formal reprimand from the GOP over the weekend only serves as a motivator as he weighs whether to pursue a sixth term in the chamber. The state Republican Party passed a resolution over the weekend that derided his record as too liberal and “disastrous and harmful” to the country.

“We’ve got polling data that shows overwhelming support. I’ve won every election in Arizona by very large margins, quite often with the opposition of that element of the party,” McCain said of his state’s rightward flank, which he described as encompassing a “very small portion” of Arizona voters.

When the politically correct media quickly drop this story we miss an opportunity to discuss one of the inconvenient truths.  Because the shooter is black there will be no public airing of ‘the motive’ for the shooting.

If the shooter had presented as a white male the media would be urgently seeking attachment to right-wing extremism and/or the Tea Party.

The historical evidence to support this controversial assertion was polished to crystal clear resonance in the Colorado Movie Theater shooting and subsequent *media-thirst* to attach white intent.   The same media ideology toward white motive was present in the 2010 Gabby Giffords shooting.

But this time the search for motive would involve a black male teenager who appears to have been reacting to spurned romantic advances.   Reacting in a very uncomfortable way to discuss in the media.  Reacting in a way the media desperately avoids talking about.

The first victim shot was a white female, Brianna Benlolo – age 21 and mother of a 2 year-old son, who has been reported to have broken off a relationship with the shooter, Darion Aguilar – age 19. (more…)

Eager to dispel claims that President Barack Obama is engaging in “class warfare” as he heads into his State of the Union address next week, the White House is de-emphasizing phrases focusing on economic disparity and turning instead to messages about creating paths of opportunity for the poor and middle class. President Obama has been in office since January of 2009.  It’s now January of 2014 and Dear Leader’s cohorts are still blaming George Bush….  

Honest question:   In the immediate months after 9/11/2001 the U.S. economy contracted and tanked steeper and faster than any single 3-6 month period in the history of economic measures.   George Bush responded IMEDIATELY and forcefully with tax credits, tax refunds (checks mailed within 30 days) and a nationally delivered speech, the infamous “buy stuff” speech.    It worked.    If the same thing happened during this administration do you think they would be able to handle ?  

I strongly doubt it….. they don’t have solutions – their expertise is limited to talking about problems, they have ZERO solutions. 

(Via WFB) – White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer returned to a familiar Democratic talking point on Fox News Sunday, blaming the financial crisis “this president inherited” for the laundry list of Obama economic woes pointed out by host Chris Wallace.

After showing a graphic revealing median household income had decreased, poverty rate was up and the labor force participation rate was at a 36-year low during the Obama presidency, Pfeiffer implicitly blamed the Bush administration. (more…)
