George Zimmerman Case – Deposing The Players In Multiple Rounds….

It should be noted the filing for reconsideration of Benjamin Crump’s deposition and status was filed after ’round one’ of Witness #8 deposition.

Sybrina+Fulton+Bond+Hearing+Held+Trayvon+Martin+zavKDri4E5-l(Orlando Sentinel)  George Zimmerman’s attorneys were in South Florida late last week, deposing Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend, dad, mom and brother, according to newly-filed case records.

On Wednesday Mark O’Mara took the sworn account of Trayvon’s girlfriend, the state’s most important witness, at a Miami office of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. (pdf file)

Shortly after Trayvon’s death, she told authorities that she was on the phone with him a few moments before he was shot by Zimmerman, a Neighborhood Watch volunteer who had called Sanford police a few minutes earlier, describing the unarmed 17-year-old as suspicious. (more…)

Using Race To Leverage Injustice – Example 101 “George Zimmerman”

Understanding how and why George Zimmerman is being prosecuted in the Trayvon Martin shooting is a complex undertaking.   Most of the people with a ‘general sense’ of the case have no idea the depth of the alignment against him.

Tom Perez and president obama

This week many people became aware of the name “Thomas Perez” because he is a nominee put forth by President Obama for a cabinet secretary position, Labor Secretary.  However, in his previous role as head of the Civil Rights Division of the Dept of Justice, Mr Perez played a key role in the George Zimmerman case.

It should be noted that Congressional Black Caucus member, Congresswoman Corrine Brown, played a key role in bringing race-based support from Perez to the forefront of the case.   Both Congresswoman Brown, and Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett, asked the Dept. of Justice to intervene in the case.   [All supportive documents are within this pdf]

George Zimmerman Case – O’Mara Files Motion To Reconsider Deposition of Benjamin Crump

Mark O’Mara has filed a motion with the court for reconsideration of Judge Nelson’s prior ruling regarding Benjamin Crump’s ineligibility for deposition.  (pdf here)

updateUpdate:  We’ve loaded the pdf to another hosting site because O’Mara’s servers are overloaded:   You can also read motion HERE  (we’ll also tweet the link)

This motion will affectionately be called “Tara’s Motion“, because the diligence of Treeper Tara appears to have given the defense a key tool in its position. Specifically the ABC audio tape which was mysteriously uploaded onto the ABC website on February 28th, which Tara discovered.

Tara 1

Tara 2

There are multiple substantive arguments in the motion filed by O’Mara outlining the defense position that Trayvon Martin family attorney, Benjamin Crump, is specifically a key witness for deposition surrounding all of the elements regarding discovery of Witness #8, Dee Dee; Who, coincidently was deposed last Friday. One More Bullet Creates Selective Moral Outrage – Flatbush: Kimani Gray / Chicago: Jonylah Watkins Shootings

New York City, Flatbush, finds itself in the epicenter of another young black male shooting incident turned opportunistic grievance statistic.  The storyline is a 16-year-old kid, Kimani “KiKi” Gray, was shot seven times and killed by police officers after he turned toward them wielding a loaded .38 caliber handgun.

Flatbush Shooting -

A few days before, and a few more miles away in Chicago, a 6-MONTH-old girl, Jonylah Watkins, was shot six times (one for every month of her life) and killed by gangland style thugs as they attempted to murder her father.

In Chicago six bullets killed the baby girl.  In New York, seven bullets killed Ki Ki.

Chicago moves on, another day – another innocent.   500+ last year alone.

New York City erupts with protests, violence, broken bottles, looters, all supported by accusations of racism and random police violence against black males. (more…)

The Sociology of Victimhood – “Zimmerman Case”

Guest Post – Collaboratively Assembled

Zimmerman Family - Grandfather - Grandmother - Mother as childThe Zimmerman family comes from a Southern U.S. experience and traditional South American Catholic heritage.

Within each there’s a heavy heritage about rules, and how you “get along with folks”, both constructs are essentially emotionally conservative, perhaps to a fault.

Visible responses when framed as ‘public displays’ which can be construed as ‘violations’ of the laws governing “how to be a nice person” are so strong, they actually can over-rule the basic instinct for self-preservation.

Standing back and looking objectively toward the Zimmerman clan, the instinct for self-preservation (in the context of community) is what seems to be crippled; And “community” for them is — the other nice people.    So if all the nice people stick together and continue being nice, everything will be ok.

As long as everyone in the community is nice, that works. (more…)

Why Mark O’Mara’s Ideology and Prior Mistakes Matter – Legal Integrity Counts

A massive amount of division lays at the heart of many George Zimmerman supporters regarding his legal counsel Mark O’Mara.    In an effort to heal the infection – here is why it matters, and what it infers moving forward.

Mark O'Mara interview

Personally, I am not a fan of Mark O’Mara – simply because I do not trust, nor am I willing to excuse, those who have shown a history of untrustworthy behavior.   However, I will try to disassociate myself from opinion and reflect upon the integrity issues within, because, quite frankly, George has NO option(s) – For better or worse, he’s stuck with him.

History –  Mark O’Mara ideologically, like his friend and CNN contributor Mark NaJame, is more in alignment with the people who are prosecuting George Zimmerman than the people who support him.   Mark O’Mara’s central outlook toward life is “progressive”, and he infers that sentiment into his approach.   This ideology and familiarity is why Mark NaJame’s firm recommended O’Mara.

In short, he’s a legally left-leaning Democrat; and his views on gun ownership, stand-your-ground laws and trial lawyers, are counterintuitive to the position of the client he represents.

Most professionals would argue that attorneys are capable of separating their individual biases when advocating for clients positions.   This is generally true;  However in the case of Mark O’Mara he has specifically framed George Zimmerman’s positions on the case as if he is distancing himself from his client.   Intellectually honest persons would agree with this overall impression that O’Mara exudes. Racialist Dysfunction – Report Labels DOJ Civil Rights Division Rife With “Racialist Dysfunction”….

This should come as no surprise, and yet simultaneously emphasize the reason why the George Zimmerman prosecution continues. Additionally, the Community Relations Service (CRS) is within the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ and they are a prime example of the manipulative racial dysfunction within the larger organization…. Example: George Zimmerman case [Miami-Dade and Orlando].

Rape-of-Justice(Via PJ Media) Today the Department of Justice inspector general released a report on potential Labor secretary nominee Tom Perez’s DOJ Civil Rights Division. The timing of the release to coincide with his nomination was certainly accidental, because the report paints a damning portrait of the DOJ unit he managed.

The full report is here. [There are weeks of stories in this report].

The 250-page report offers an inside glimpse of systemic racialist dysfunction inside one of the most powerful federal government agencies.

03-13 George Zimmerman Case – Open Discussion Thread

Use this thread as an open thread just for Zimmerman Case stuff. A place to just dump, collect, or discuss general information about the Trayvon Martin VS George Zimmerman Case.

“The sensationalized, fact-deficient coverage of this case has achieved the
desired results. The networks got their ratings. The politicians got their
talking points. And if it means innocent people get caught in the middle of the
racial enmity they’ve fomented, obviously it’s considered acceptable collateral
damage.
Congratulations, geniuses. Job well done. Jim Treacher, The DC Trawler
