I know some of you are planning on seeing “The Undefeated” this weekend, and I thought you might be curious to read about the highlights you can look forward to viewing. I was lucky enough to attend one of the movie’s previews last June 30th, and using the footlights in the theater, I took copious notes. The following is my synopsis of the movie based on those notes.

It seems that being on the cover of Newsweek, and rating an eight page article, has once again added fuel to the flames of liberal paranoia. “Palin Plots Her Next Move”…looks for clues into what the Alaska Dispatch refers to as the “Mystery of 2012”. Sounds like someone’s been reading a little too much Nancy Drew doesn’t it?

Governor Sarah Palin was completely self-centered, self-consumed, and ill-informed to such a degree as to be totally disengaged in her state’s affairs. She would routinely avoid important meetings with the budget director by hiding in the bathroom. She’d spend less than eight hours a day in office, staying home or attending events rather than focusing on important state business.
Well, not exactly. That’s precisely how Robert Greenlee, Rod Blagojevich’s deputy governor, described HIS former boss.
Beginning this July 15, AMC Theatres will begin showing the film “The Undefeated” in limited areas. It will show a very different portrayal of the former vice presidential candidate. It will show the inner workings of an efficient, informed and a very involved governor… one who achieved an unprecedented 80% plus approval rating while in office. She was loved and admired by the people of Alaska for her grit and determination in taking on the oil companies and corruption on both sides of the aisle. (more…)
Oh no! Imagine a world where the dung-covered Madonna, or the crucifix in a jar of urine would not be allowed to exist. Such could be our very world if Sarah Palin is allowed to do away with the National Endowment for the Arts. In an effort to reduce our fourteen trillion dollar federal deficit, Palin has suggested ending federal subsidies for National Public Radio ($3.34 million), the National Endownment for Humanities ($132.8 million), and the National Endowment for the Arts ($154.7 million). I won’t hold my breath..… (Boston Herald) The vicar of Old North Church says he’s miffed at the “gotcha”-seeking media for twisting Sarah Palin’s stop at the Hub landmark earlier this month into an endless GOP-bashing circus. Palin continues to be ridiculed for her comments on Paul Revere’s ride, but the Rev. Stephen T. Ayres told the Herald this weekend it’s all a tempest in a Tea Party pot.
“I am amazed that this silly story refuses to die,” he said. “I lament what’s happening to our culture. Everything is reduced to one-upmanship or gotcha.” (more…)

(Via Free Republic) Sarah, you’ve kept us all guessing. Various rumors and speculations abound with respect to your plans. Maybe you’re still thinking it over. If you are, and if your plans are not yet finalized, I’d like to give you a few more things to think about. I realize I’m nobody special, and it’s overwhelmingly unlikely you’ll ever see this, but if you do, I hope you’ll understand why I am compelled to try.
My adult daughter and I went to your Going Rogue signing at Fort Hood. The line through the Post Exchange was curled around the entire facility. You signed books for hours, engaging everybody who stepped before you and your husband, and your parents were on hand as well, talking proudly of their daughter with folks who were gleefully exiting the signing area. Young women gasped coming out, “Oh my God, she touched me. She touched ME…” (more…)

(Politico) If critics were hoping to see Palin revealed as a hypocrite, they’re out of luck. Her private statements are in line with her public ones when it comes to issues like Troopergate, the ethics scandal in which she was accused of abusing her authority to punish her sister’s ex-husband. Her emails on the matter fulminate against what she insists are false accusations, maintaining the same consistent defense — that Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was fired for performance, not personal, reasons.
